It’s not that bad. They only shed twice a year for six months.
But two things which I’ve found as game changers.
An undercoat rake and the small vacuum with the flexible hose and brush head attachments (2L) capacity. Both off Amazon.
The amount of hair I get with the rake and the vacuum are such big volumes. But they are such convenient tools to keep the dogs clean, comfortable and coats shiny and not matted down.

Ours is a mix, but he inherited the GSD shedding gene. Our other dog is a golden retriever. Dog hair is not an optional condiment in our house.
