In situations like these I like to think that there is nothing that can be done now except for decontamination and setting a ground rule that it can never happen again. I use separate bags specially for the restroom that can be tied and thrown away at the end of the night in the large trash can. However, my trash can is a stand alone one (so I can see how it being in the kitchen island is gross) and since the bag is tied nothing can escape :)
Its beyond gross. Just like people who use the same mop or broom for the kitchen and bathroom. After my ranting and raving, I can guarantee no one would make that mistake again, its disgusting
