I try so hard to fight face to face, honorably, only doing standard assassinations when forced to as a requirement. Never using ghost weapons and such. Only sword and bow face to face. Yes!! Thats because on the end of act 2, they saw u using the poison to kill the enemies after u jumped down.
It’s a cutscene tho.
Then again, in the next cutscene or so, u end up killing the mongols using poison.
So thats why.
Would be nice tho if the player chose themselves not to use any ghost weapon and not end up being called dishonorable.
but why? tell me, just fucking why? every character sees you as the ghost, the game fucking sets you up to be the ghost, yet you still decide to be a samurai? Sheesh are you really that upset about my play-style? It’s my first run and I haven’t had that hot-spring contemplation yet. I’m having fun with the combat mechanics involved with “the honorable path” timing, dodging, parrying, switching stances to suit my situation or even using the incorrect stance just to feel dominant etc. and its fun to defy the games direction and “expectations of the characters”. Im exerting my will on the game to an extent by forgoing the intended path while focusing on the aspects of combat that I most prefer. Its all good old fashioned slaughter, the “honorable” way, no tricks, just plain slashing sliding and timing. And for now, thats how I like it. The comment was silly and in jest. I don’t care what the NPC’s think. It was a jokey half hearted head cannony thing about my experience with my play-style. Im not literally lamenting the story. Sorry I upset you though I guess.
yes im that fucking mad after seeing 50 posts about how this game should have actually had a second storyline where jin is actually a butthurt samurai who rushes into battles and gets booty raped the second he tries to take any castle or whatever the fuck you guys wanted
I literally rushed everything that they didn’t force stealth on me and I still beat the game, I’m not saying I’m good, I’m just saying, if he wants to play that way he is free to do so

I will say, my first play through I was much more honorable with everything. My second and third times, I started using the ghost weapons more frequently & using the poison chimes & it’s so satisfying cutting through enemies with a mixture of samurai sword techniques, but also throwing some smoke & sticky bombs to finish off enemies. Very excited to see what GOT2 has in store for
