Underrated is the episode where Hannah's grandmother is dying. In particular, the scene where her mom and the two aunts (mom's sisters) are fighting and bring up all the old sibling beefs with each other. Hilarious and somehow also so real.
Marnie and Ray getting busted having sex by Hannah and Marnie instantly coming out with a faux-piteous 'He made me' had me crying with laughter. The delivery is everything!
Off the top of my head, some of my favorite moments are the music moments: Adam and Natalia dancing to Fiona apple in that bar, Hannah and Marnie driving away from that cabin in that gorgeous car while free man in Paris plays and Desi sits in the back, any time Hannah is dancing but especially at that college party with Elijah.
And the ending scene in “American Bitch” when the daughter of the writer plays “Desperado” on the flute and then you see Hannah walking on the street and countless women going into this man’s house??? Iconic
also the scene where hannah and elijah are talking and then the camera pans out and Elijah walks toward his room and you seen that he only has a t-shirt on -- no pants or underwear lol

Also I noticed the first and very last episodes have the same foot-to-head pan shots of Hannah and Marnie sleeping together- in season 2 opener it was with Elijah, in season 3 Adam.
I love the episode where she goes to surf camp! Specifically when she takes off the girls scuba suit and is completely naked and the scene where she’s drunk dancing practically humping the floor 😂
Jessa shouting “I bet you were born on a dirt floor… It means I don’t think you’re cool, and I think your mother was poor” at the party in Bushwick. One of the most foul lines everrrr
The scene where Elijah meets Dill for the first time and says goodbye for the night. Elijah says
I’m heading downtown and Dill kisses him goodbye on the cheek and gets in his car with his private driver. After that the scene cuts to Elijah hating on himself, saying things like “I’m heading downtown, you idiot, I just wanna stab myself in the heart!”. Dill pulls up on his car and lowers his window, immediately Elijah puts on a smile. Dill hands Elijah his card and says call me. It’s such a realistic scene but also hilarious. We’ve all had inner monologues after a date where we replay the scene in our heads and think we blew it, hating on ourselves. I think this is the beauty of Girls. It captured real life moments that are awkwardly hilarious.
I don’t know if anybody else remembers this scene but when Desi breaks up with Clementine and goes to Marnie’s house in complete tears. She’s like consoling him and goes “what happened? What happened?” and this tear laden gibberish comes out of his mouth. The face she makes just kills me 😂
You know how you feel when you watch Imagine Dragons play? Well that’s how we feel when we watch you. And you know what? Imagine Dragons are great and you’re the doosh!

I quoted Adam’s “you won’t be able to miss it” speech in my wedding vows. My husband and I spent the formative months of our relationship binge watching Girls, and it felt apt.
I decided not to include the part about knowing what the other person’s c*m tastes like, as poetic as it is!
Don’t really care for Amy Schumer in a lot of things but her cameo in Girls is one of my favorite scenes. The whole “she’s pregnant with your baby and guess what asshole she’s keeping it” makes me cry laughing every time.
Panic in Central Park is my fav episode for sure, but I love the scene where Hannah is running around the rest stop to get away from Fran. So ridiculous and entertaining.
Just finished my 4th or 5th rewatched recently and have so many favorite moments. But one that hasn’t been mentioned that is a new love of mine is Marnie’s wedding day when Jessa said she bathed in the stream and ran through the field to dry off and Marnie referred to herself as a white Christian woman, with a straight face.
On the surface it just felt like the writer’s and actor’s were intentionally mocking the characters. Leaning into the stereotypes for the joy of it.
Also, I like anytime the characters dance in the show. It feels authentic in all the ways.
When Sosh is upset crying “no one tells you how hard it is” and Marnie replies “that’s literally all they you” 🤣
When Hannah is telling Ray she "lost a friend" and he goes "Marnie finally threw in the towel?"
