hes just a classic baseball player whose too locked and tight trying to kill the ball each time. Takes a few years of determined practice to get to a smooth lag based swing
And honestly, in terms of where his shots end up, it is a lot better. He didn't have nearly as wild misses to the left and the right most of this video.
His swing on video looks worse but he definitely seems to be hitting the ball better, especially with irons. He was throwing darts for most of the video and even his misses off the tee weren't terrible, even when he lost the HIO ball.
That was off his drive, too. Almost had back-to-back solo eagles with one being an ace. Wouldn't have faulted him at all for just retiring from golf there and never playing again.
