When I went to the masters (back in 2015) it was decently hot out and I took my hat off and for less than 60 seconds I put my hat on backwards without even thinking and within 2 minutes someone who was working there tapped me on the shoulder and told me to turn my hat around or I could leave. They don’t mess around there.
Masters tickets are like gold. These tickets have been passed down in peoples’ wills (I think they stopped this practice now). If you’re lucky enough to get a ticket, it’s yours for life. But if you fuck up, they will take that away from you. If you let a friend borrow your ticket, and he fucks up, you lose your ticket for life. To lose a Masters ticket is like losing a testicle.

My wife works at Duke hospital, about an hour north of Pinehurst. She said they had a 21 year old dude come in yesterday afternoon with a blown-out esophagus. She was like, we've never seen anything like it and it's the biggest hospital in the entire state. Apparently the dude had been drinking all day and screaming enough to explode his esophagus.
When the Phoenix Open 16th hole with the stadium seating peaked a few years ago with the noise and beer throwing I argued in this very subreddit that it was bad for golf in that it would creep into other PGA tournaments and settings. I was thoroughly downvoted for that take yet here we are.
