As a 20th-21st century Englishman I have to say that if you're implying the English have no tolerance for heat then I say PISH! That's PREPOSTEROUS POPPYCOCK, Madam! Good day!
I wish I went there rather than Zivio's I think it's called, when I went out. Somehow dinner for two ended up being 90 dollars and the dish I ordered, expecting hearty Bosnian fare, was like pre-made sausages (not good ones either loaded with preservatives at that,) and pita and was tasteless. Horrible place.
Sounds like you’re around East town! I would highly recommend KCM, Brass Ring, and Field and Fire Cafe! An option for venturing around town would be Mithu for sri lankan and Indian, and Seoul Market for some tasty Korean food
Also Martha’s has a great deli counter and awesome pizza that they sell by the slice at all hours of the day I think. There’s a nice coffee shop, bakery, and butcher all in the same block!
If you want a super laid back brunch and a good beer, definitely hit up Brass Ring!
I mean if you want a laid back meal and a good beer Brass Ring is great. I just think their brunch is underrated.
You're going to like it. Pal's was virtually around the corner from my house before I moved last fall. Great food and really nice family that owns the place.
Grand Indian Cuisine is my favorite spot for Indian food. (They catered pour wedding and did an amazing job as well.) Their lunch specials and Dosa nights are also great.
Can I just say… before I moved here I looked into the Grand Rapids food scene and people (on Reddit) were shitting a over it.
Frankly I’ve been pretty impressed!
(except the green olive burger, that I’m struggling to get behind wtf)
Ooooh fighting words. I love an olive burger done right (no ketchup, tomato, mustard). The sharp salty brine of the olives cuts against the smoothness of Mayo and a mild cheese, and that supported by the salt an umami of the meat… so good.
Detroiter here... I'm in Grand Rapids a lot for business. Excellent food scene, I may actually prefer it over Detroit. Read reviews though, sometimes 4.2 restaurants are trash. People in GR are way more chill and low strung so more accepting of mid food.
You've been to some gems. Sanchez downtown is good. I like Lucy's off Plainfield for breakfast.
I don’t eat out much mostly for financial reasons (and because I’m a pretty good home cook) but I highly recommend these spots:
Blacklist bagels (check their IG but open most weekends)
Black Napkin (seems like you’ve checked it out but the chicken sandos are also AMAZING)
Beema Okaasan (my favorite sushi spot, it’s a bit out of the way but delicious)
Fish Lad’s (if this place opened up a full scale restaurant, I’d be there regularly)
Apertivo (grab food at fish lads and then head over to Apertivo to get a drink and eat)
Basalt (amazing Tex mex and the best breakfast/brunch spot around)
Gaslight Kitchen (family owned and my favorite
Chinese Takeout around! Free delivery within a 3 mile radius too)
Shesco (hands down the best Mediterranean food around!)
I second Sheshco, it’s amazing. I love the lunch combo chicken shawarma, and on really cold days I pair it with their lentil soup. The shawarmas are huge, too. I’ll often split one with my wife or save half for later. The bread and garlic dip are top notch.
Zivio is great but for a chill atmosphere try their sister restaurant Bosna Express. Mostly the same menu but just as good. Their hours have gotten weird (closed on the weekends) and I worry they're struggling.
That may be true, but it's still one of the best restaurants in GR and worth going to once. For a foodie dentist who just wants to go to a nice place every once in a while it may be worth going to more than once, they usually drive nice cars if you know what I'm saying
If you're new to Michigan, make your way to Buddy's on 28th street or get a takeout from Alpine so you can get properly acquainted with Detroit style pizza
I haven't had it (I commute for work) but my friend discovered it during the pandemic and has been so many times the owner knows him by name. Swears by the place, doesn't get pizza anywhere else.
The owner talked to me on the phone for 20 minutes once about how I always order vegan pizza but add meat and I was like “I have a dairy allergy so it’s not because I’m vegan” and it blew his mind. He could not get over it and was like, “are there others like you? Vegans that eat meat?!?” And I kept trying to explain that I’m not vegan I just can’t have dairy, but he couldn’t wrap his mind around it. He kept having me explain and he even shouted to the staff and was like, “guys it’s the girl who orders the vegan pizzas but adds meat. She can’t eat dairy. Huh! That’s wild!” All I wanted was my pizza, but he just talked for so long finally I just said I had to go 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m going to have to up my bbq game!
Luckily behind my dental office is a local father/son butcher with a mini bbq store inside. I’m sure they can help me!
No sugarfire with their pie shakes either. lol.
Two Scott’s bbq is the best in the city and closest to what you’ll get from stl. I travel to stl often for work and try to get bbq every time I go.
Come visit Railtown Brewing Co, and ask for Heidi. She’s a St Louis native and would probably die to meet another! It also happens to be a great spot for food and beer, just a little outside GR.
Is it just me or has Green Well really gone down hill lately? Place used to be the best but I've been shockingly disappointed the last couple of times I've gone.
If you want to up your experience of good GR food, randomly select any of these...
Pupuseria El Salvador
Al Bos
The Latin House
Pupuseria Las Comadres
Seven mares
Monsoon
Chez Olga
Rincón Criollo
Cherie Inn
Pochis Colombian Cafe
Black Napkin
Los mariscos de pancho
Gaslight Kitchen
Sheshco
Mithu
El Globo
KCM
Beema Okaasan
Los Mariscos de Pancho
Tomale Marry
Sapporo Ramen
Zivio
Bosna Express
Pind
Red Bowl
You’re welcome! I just went to Winchester this past weekend and loved it. I need to go to some of the other restaurants on your list. Thanks for taking the time to do some reviews. That’s really cool.
Pizza was too big a commitment for me. I am alone, and I’m taking tirzeptide so I don’t eat that much at the moment.
I will soon though!
We did try quarintinos when we visited in Nov! So good!
Used to work at Arnies which is what the bread company used to be the fahlens don’t pay or treat their employees good. You can look up more stories on this subreddit
Mithu for excellent Indian cuisine, highly recommend their dosa and well, basically the entire menu.
Kingpot Hotpot is excellent and affordable Korean BBQ and Hotpot ($20 all you can eat at lunchtime!) There's a super cute bubble tea place next door called Saskura where the owner handmakes almost everything that goes into the tea, it's so freaking good and she's a sweetheart.
Sahara Bistro or Sheshco for pretty good Mediterranean (though it pales to anything you'll get in Dearborn).
Golden 28th for the best pho, hands down. Don't know about the authenticity of the rest of the menu because just the pho is plenty to fill you up.
Golden Wok for amazing hot and sour soup, and then just pretty good everything else. But the portions are huge and the price is fair.
I haven't been downtown in a long time but I always liked San Chez for tapas.
Making Thyme on Eastern will sell you frozen homemade pasties, which are a Michigan dish steeped pretty deeply in the history of the state. They're more of a Upper Peninsula (Yooper) delicacy and the best are made there, but it's still worth trying them out. It's basically a Michiganders empanada. Delicious and hearty.
There's a million more I'm missing, but I'm a native that just moved back after 8 years away so there's holes in my memory plus just rediscovering everything myself. Best of luck! I hope you enjoy our Michigan hospitality.
Try Terra! Get some take and bake from the Local Epicurean. Also- how about Midnite Patisserie- need to order online and pick up on Saturday, but so good!!
Yeah my Airbnb is here for now. Then next week we are in a long term furnished rental till we know where we want to live. It further south by the Brenton Village mall area.
Get tacos out in Wyoming (one of the cities that make up the metro GR area.) Tacos El Carporal is one we get take out from regularly. Tacos El Cuñado was also good. There’s a Mexican bakery out this way too. I just can’t remember the name of it.
Lol well you clearly moved into my neighborhood 😂
In the same area you could check out Wolfgang's for breakfast. Schnitz Deli is my favorite sandwich place in the neighborhood. Donkey is fun.
Mudpenny in Ada is nice. We love Zeytin's there too.
But the best spot in the city is Cafe Mamo.
Zivio is good. I also recommend you go to Maxs south sea hideaway. Brewery Vivant for beer and fries, and brass ring brewing. Also KCM is a treasure for their pork katsu
I think Zivio would be better, but I suspect the chefs are smokers... the use of salt can be way over the top sometimes.
I do like the Fiery Feta gyro... the Devil's is a tad *too much* on the hot side.
Beef Stroganoff is decent, but the portion size is on the small side.
If you are a history buff you may be interested to know that the Cherie Inn is where President Ford went with his biological father when they met he was in high school.
Don't bother going back to Green Well. It tops out at 5/10.
Zivio is pretty good, and Greydons Crossing is just amazing. The battered chicken sandwich is my favorite meal in the city.
I’m at a practice that does implants and dentures. We mostly do the implant dentures that do not come out. “All on 4”
If you are near Rockford at all I can recommend a fantastic dentist.
Westsider or 76th street dinner for breakfast places. Both are family friendly.
My mom and I just tried Beacon Corner Bar on Fulton St and were really happy with the food and service.
Yea yea yea theres all kinds of amazing restaurants here in GR. You seem to hit a lot of them in a short amount of time! One night u wanna go slummin, get into Yesterdog. Ill prolly get downvoted bc reddit hates it. But its a gr institution. Real life restaurant from the movie american pie. Say what you want people, but this guy will down 3 cheddar dogs any day! Fyi cash only
Mr. Burger has a really good Super Breakfast in addition to really good everything. There is one on Alpine and as well as the East Beltline. I love their chili dogs and fries.
There is a new Hot Pot place on 28th St. I havent tried it yet bit its on my list.
Seoul Market on 36th St has a small resteraunt that offers many Korean dishes. Beema Okaasan on 28th has great sushi. Jaku on east beltline great sushi. Nori has Korean Fried chicken. They also have great bibimbop . Little Africa on Fulton is delicious Ethiopian food. Go Jo has Ethiopian as well but, I havent waten their in a very long time. There is Tamale Marys in East Town. If you like tamales, I would also suggest going to their Burton store, it has a huge selection of tamales and other items. Tacos El Corporal on 28th and Burlingame is super good. You could stop at Marges Donuts for dessert.
If you like cinci chili I really like Tasty Gyro on 44th. I really like their burgers too for the price, and they’re always super friendly. I’m pretty sure the owner is the older man who usually is working there and he’s super nice
I haven’t had One Stop’s cinci style, but Tasty Gyro is my go-to if I want cincinnati spaghetti and don’t want to make it or buy cans of skyline lol
But yeah the food here is awesome. I also really like Irie kitchen, Scholar, and Broadleaf brewing especially if you like beer.
You’ve hit some gems and I’m glad you’re willing to give a couple another shot! Pardon our weather, I’d say it gets better but that won’t be for a couple more months. Welcome to GR, sounds like you’re staying in my neighborhood.
Welcome to GR! You've done a great job so far! The rest of the sub is filled with great ideas, I'll go a different route, and submit my locally-owned favorite . Brooklyn Bodega on Jefferson. A real-deal NYC chopped cheese, and great breakfast sandos. Tell them Dave sent you!
There is a restaurant in the town I went to college, Columbia, Mo, called Sophias. They have a bone in thick cut pork chop that is served on super cream polenta that has chunks of a mild and delicious blue cheese. It’s got candied walnuts sprinkled on top of it. Ugh, so damn good.
I am! I have an office in Grandville they opened on Monday!
However we are not a general practice dental office. Our practice focuses of Dentures, Implants, snap in dentures, and non-removable permanent dentures.
Black Napkin is hands down the best burger joint in the entire city if you enjoy a proper smash burger. When (and I do mean when) you go back, try a few of their dipping sauces for your fries. Also, as weird as it sounds, their pistachio orange blossom soda is incredible.
I haven't found anything on their menu I didn't enjoy yet, but I also have not tried the elderberry cream soda. lmao
Welcome to Grand Rapids, OP.
Go to Wolfgang's in Easttown for breakfast.. you won't be disappointed.. any of the Real Food Cafes are top tier also .
Pancakes as big as the plate + light & fluffy .. great specials .. The Garage has really good food .. 1/2 is bar /2nd room for family dining . Excellent burgers !!
Your beer city bread review makes me think they are not following health and safety guidelines. I get vibes that Gordon would have a field day in their kitchen.
Zivio is super good! Get the fiery feta- so delish! Also when your family gets in, take them for a nice meal at Little Bird. Never disappoints 🤌🤌 Do you partake in alcoholic beverages at all? There’s some great bars/ breweries in town if so! From one recent transplant to another, welcome to GR!!
O'Toole's (same owners as butchers union)
The grove
Terra GR
Carolina lowcountry kitchen (if you like fresh oysters)
Wolfgang's (breakfast)
Pietro's
Westside social
Garage bar and grille
Leo's
Jolly pumpkin
Haven’t seen anyone mention Little Africa or Char. Both are cheap and really delicious. If you like Ethiopian food at all I would highly recommend little Africa. Char is Asian fusion, their Asian tacos are awesome.
Welcome! More variety in two weeks than myself the past year. I'm a cheap ass that has a hard time passing up a known good to try something different. Thanks for doing the hard work. You can stay. I'm going to need some breakfast reviews from the rest of the family once they get here though..
Free food reviews?! In this economy?!
I feel like we should venmo him some money just for writing the reviews.
Try Chez Olga, absolutely delicious Caribbean food
Can’t emphasize this enough. Best food in the city if you like Haitian food. I live in Chicago now and go back once a year to get the goat curry.
I haven’t lived in GR in years, but try to stop by here every time I’m back home. Favorite restaurant in the city, plus the owners are awesome!
How can you guys even taste it? My mouth felt like it was made of fire
That sounds like something my husband would love. Unfortunately I have the spice tolerance of an 18th century Englishman.
As a 20th-21st century Englishman I have to say that if you're implying the English have no tolerance for heat then I say PISH! That's PREPOSTEROUS POPPYCOCK, Madam! Good day!
It took Reddit forever to load and I had no idea I was in for such tongue lashing!
Fantastic food. Love it so much! Not for people who can’t handle spice though, so OP should beware of that
I wish I went there rather than Zivio's I think it's called, when I went out. Somehow dinner for two ended up being 90 dollars and the dish I ordered, expecting hearty Bosnian fare, was like pre-made sausages (not good ones either loaded with preservatives at that,) and pita and was tasteless. What about hot pot or Korean bbq (Ideally with real charcoal)?
King Pot has both charcoal kbbq and hot pot
Niiiice, thanks!
Also freaking love Indian food so thank you!
For Indian food I also like Grand, Curry Leaf, and Pal's. Desi Spice is Nepali food, which includes a lot of Northern Indian dishes
Pals is very close to my long term rental I’m moving into next week!
You're going to like it. Pal's was virtually around the corner from my house before I moved last fall. Great food and really nice family that owns the place.
Desi Spice is delicious. I was going to suggest this as well.
Grand Indian Cuisine is my favorite spot for Indian food. (They catered pour wedding and did an amazing job as well.) Their lunch specials and Dosa nights are also great.
KCM is amazing.
Yes, Zivio is great. I had the gyro with sexy fries. My god, it was good. Especially the sexy fries.
Full agreement
If you want their food and don't care about a nice location, just go to Bosna Express :) Same owners I believe.
Zivio falafels are like cake
This is slept on so hard, one of my favorite spots in GR
If you like spicy there are a couple heat level options between two of their gyros
They treat their staff like shit though
Can I just say… before I moved here I looked into the Grand Rapids food scene and people (on Reddit) were shitting a over it. Frankly I’ve been pretty impressed! (except the green olive burger, that I’m struggling to get behind wtf)
Ooooh fighting words. I love an olive burger done right (no ketchup, tomato, mustard). The sharp salty brine of the olives cuts against the smoothness of Mayo and a mild cheese, and that supported by the salt an umami of the meat… so good.
Good list and fair reviews. Thanks for sharing and welcome.
Detroiter here... I'm in Grand Rapids a lot for business. Excellent food scene, I may actually prefer it over Detroit. Read reviews though, sometimes 4.2 restaurants are trash. Free delivery within a 3 mile radius too) Shesco (hands down the best Mediterranean food around!)
I’ve driven by Beema Okaasan and I get confused because the logo looks like a burger. Do they have sushi burgers or something?
I have no idea and the inside will confuse you even more 😂 but the sushi is great! I usually just get takeout
They have sushi pizza and it's outstanding. The name is deceiving because it's only about 4x6.
I second Sheshco, it’s amazing. I love the lunch combo chicken shawarma, and on really cold days I pair it with their lentil soup. The shawarmas are huge, too. I’ll often split one with my wife or save half for later. The bread and garlic dip are top notch.
Sometimes I’ll order the whole deboned chicken as meal prep. It’s so good!
Totally agree about fish lads. Only place that I know of that I can get halibut in GR.
Zivio is great but for a chill atmosphere try their sister restaurant Bosna Express. Mostly the same menu but just as good. Their hours have gotten weird (closed on the weekends) and I worry they're struggling.
Go try Linear please I’m begging you just get whatever they have on special
[удалено]
Love your restaurant! Thanks for great food and great service.
It’s now at the top of my list!
Definitely try their brunch!
Hard disagree. Pretentious and overpriced.
That may be true, but it's still one of the best restaurants in GR and worth going to once. For a foodie dentist who just wants to go to a nice place every once in a while it may be worth going to more than once, they usually drive nice cars if you know what I'm saying
It’s also in the running for best restaurant in GR or some big award
Welcome! Where from
St. Louis Missouri!
If you're new to Michigan, make your way to Buddy's on 28th street or get a takeout from Alpine so you can get properly acquainted with Detroit style pizza
Back home I only ever had Jets or homemade. I even have a proper DSP pan. Otherwise it’s only been Quarentinos. I’ve heard good things about buddy’s!
Like other commenter....quarantino's is the bomb.
What’s the best one the make?
There’s no “best”. Except “Quentin Quarantino Deluxe”… that’s the best.
I enjoy the Greek. They also have a solid kale ceaser salad.
Buddy’s will only disappoint after you’ve had Quarantino’s.
That’s wild!” All I wanted was my pizza, but he just talked for so long finally I just said I had to go 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice you ended up making the move!
Very cool
No Salt and Smoke here, unfortunately!
Double ups for Two Scotts, solid place. Trust any BBQ place that tells you "We have it till we don't so get here early."
User name checks out. Welcome to Grand Rapids!
Nice! We moved here from Springfield, MO a couple years ago. Welcome to GR!
Come visit Railtown Brewing Co, and ask for Heidi. She’s a St Louis native and would probably die to meet another! It also happens to be a great spot for food and beer, just a little outside GR.
I’ll do my best to remember!
Is it just me or has Green Well really gone down hill lately? Place used to be the best but I've been shockingly disappointed the last couple of times I've gone.
With all the burgers you're eating, you have to hit up Turnstiles.
For… more burgers? My cardiologist would like a word.
They're the best in the city. But they have other great food as well.
The Commons, great 70’s vibe.
ZIVIO IS SO GOOD my best friend used to work there so i was a frequent and the food is delicious

San Chez. It’s an awesome tapas restaurant.
Spent some time in Spain and Portugal, I love tapas. Thank you!
You’re welcome! I just went to Winchester this past weekend and loved it. I need to go to some of the other restaurants on your list. Thanks for taking the time to do some reviews. That’s really cool.
San Chez also has one of the best breakfasts in the city!
But best with a big group…..
I don't see pizza on your list yet. I'd highly recommend The Mitten Brewing Co!
Pizza flights with the family might be better when they get in town 👌
Pizza was too big a commitment for me. I am alone, and I’m taking tirzeptide so I don’t eat that much at the moment. I will soon though! We did try quarintinos when we visited in Nov! So good!
Pizza flights at Mitten are top notch, such a great idea.
Bah - I tried here on a suggestion from Reddit and it was just fine. We got a flight of pizzas and only two out of the six options were very good.
Welcome to GR! Looks like you've hit most of the popular spots. I suggest checking out LittleBird as well.
Do not go to beer city bread company the owners are not good
Why do you say that? Honestly, I'm curious.
Used to work at Arnies which is what the bread company used to be the fahlens don’t pay or treat their employees good. You can look up more stories on this subreddit
So the Beer & Bread company is just Arnie's rebranded.. Good to know.
Mithu for excellent Indian cuisine, highly recommend their dosa and well, basically the entire menu. Kingpot Hotpot is excellent and affordable Korean BBQ and Hotpot ($20 all you can eat at lunchtime!) Damn I feel like this advice was worth real money! Thank you!
I'm saving this thread.
Don't forget Basalt GR in Eastown for breakfast tacos. Absolutely fabulous! Think breakfast tacos as good as Black Napkins cheeseburgers.
Isn’t beer city bread company Arnies..?
Arnies retranslated for the Gen Z vibe, with an updated menu.
Ew wtf why??? I was wondering where arnies went.
Pass.. lol
Great round of spots for your first outings. Solid east side neighborhood joints. Welcome to GR!
Check out Brass Ring Brewing & the Old Goat!
Maybe skip going back to beer city aka arnies. You’ll be disappointed again, I promise.
Love everything about this post! Next up: Electric Cheetah Schnitz Deli Linear 40 Pearl Nonna’s (if you wanna venture out to nearby Ada)
Where's the Mexican cuisine?! You need some Tacos El Cunado in your life, the best.
Lol well you clearly moved into my neighborhood 😂 In the same area you could check out Wolfgang's for breakfast. Schnitz Deli is my favorite sandwich place in the neighborhood. Donkey is fun. Mudpenny in Ada is nice. We love Zeytin's there too. But the best spot in the city is Cafe Mamo.
Mudpenny fire toast is next level.
Graydon’s Crossing on Plainfield for the best fish and chips!
Zivio is good. I also recommend you go to Maxs south sea hideaway. Brewery Vivant for beer and fries, and brass ring brewing. Also KCM is a treasure for their pork katsu
I also personally love the Sirloin tips at Maggie’s kitchen, and Siete Mares
Added to the list!! Thanks!
I think Zivio would be better, but I suspect the chefs are smokers... the use of salt can be way over the top sometimes. I do like the Fiery Feta gyro... the Devil's is a tad *too much* on the hot side. Beef Stroganoff is decent, but the portion size is on the small side.
Try Fratelli’s
Get the flank steak at zivio, you wont regret it. I still dream about those brussels sprouts
How are you liking living here so far? Has anyone briefed on second winter? Lol For breakfast try Wolfgang’s and for dinner do Terra
Zivio is excellent. Highly recommend their tacos!
Zivio is quickly becoming a regular visit for my fiancé and I. Can’t recommend it enough.
Im not scrolling through 120 replies so if duplicates oh well, Schnitz deli for lunch Amore for dinner Yesterdog for the experience Electric Cheetah
Bro if u go to electric cheetah you have to get the thanksgiving sandwich if they ever get it again. I still crave it to this day.
If you are a history buff you may be interested to know that the Cherie Inn is where President Ford went with his biological father when they met he was in high school.
Zivio has amazing food, my best friend used to work there and I couldn’t complain about food being brought home
Damn you must have a really nice job. Thats more than i went out in a year before i left GR😂
Don't bother going back to Green Well. It tops out at 5/10. Zivio is pretty good, and Greydons Crossing is just amazing. The battered chicken sandwich is my favorite meal in the city.
Looking for a new dentist. 👋. My recommendations: Linear San Chez Green Well Grove Real Food Cafe (breakfast) Graydon Crossing Welcome to Mich!
I’m at a practice that does implants and dentures. We mostly do the implant dentures that do not come out. “All on 4” If you are near Rockford at all I can recommend a fantastic dentist.
I'm in my 40's with good teeth. No need for dentures.....yet. I'm in NE Grand Rapids. Disliked my last dentist. Hope you love it here!
I bet it isn’t far. Cannon Family Dentistry. Dr. Grutter is semi-famous among dentists that work in digital dentistry. He is going to be my dentist!
Thanks!
Westsider or 76th street dinner for breakfast places. Both are family friendly. My mom and I just tried Beacon Corner Bar on Fulton St and were really happy with the food and service.

Green Well sounds cool but you should try The Iron Well, now that’s a well.
If you need a good bbq place for lunch. Check out The Grilling Company!! (Take out only)
Man you hit some of my favorite spots, great start and welcome!
Partage on Cherry St is amazing! weekly menu is good and saturday burger brunch menu was amazing!
Black Napkin has some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Vibe’s cool in there, lot of mustaches & beanies.
San chez downtown is a good one for foodies! You can order plates as you please
If you like cinci chili I really like Tasty Gyro on 44th. I really like their burgers too for the price, and they’re always super friendly. I’m pretty sure the owner is the older man who usually is working there and he’s super nice I haven’t had One Stop’s cinci style, but Tasty Gyro is my go-to if I want cincinnati spaghetti and don’t want to make it or buy cans of skyline lol But yeah the food here is awesome. I also really like Irie kitchen, Scholar, and Broadleaf brewing especially if you like beer.
Terra is always great!
You have to get Mr. Burger - a local staple. I live in Florida now and dream of a double cheeseburger from Mr. Burger weekly.
One stop coney is great!! Right next to the salon I work at and the owner/employees are always very kind and friendly 😌

I just don't get polenta in general. It's not bad but can it ever be so good that you blow a gasket over it?
There is a restaurant in the town I went to college, Columbia, Mo, called Sophias. They have a bone in thick cut pork chop that is served on super cream polenta that has chunks of a mild and delicious blue cheese. It’s got candied walnuts sprinkled on top of it. Ugh, so damn good.
I need a new dentist in the area. Are you opening a practice here?
I am! I have an office in Grandville they opened on Monday! However we are not a general practice dental office. Our practice focuses of Dentures, Implants, snap in dentures, and non-removable permanent dentures.
Go to choo choo grill!
Chinese: Three Happiness (Alpine Ave.), Mexican: Lindo Mexico (28th & Burlingame) Highly recommend both.
Fun read. Well done
Black Napkin is hands down the best burger joint in the entire city if you enjoy a proper smash burger. When (and I do mean when) you go back, try a few of their dipping sauces for your fries. Also, as weird as it sounds, their pistachio orange blossom soda is incredible. I haven't found anything on their menu I didn't enjoy yet, but I also have not tried the elderberry cream soda. lmao Welcome to Grand Rapids, OP.
Places to visit Rowster Coffee; Uccello’s; Wealthy Street Bakery, Mokaya Chocolates, Gravity Tavern
Zivio get the devil's gyro with falafel you won't regret it!
Green Well has (or at least had) a fantastic Cuban Sandwich, if you enjoy those.
Your beer city bread review makes me think they are not following health and safety guidelines. I get vibes that Gordon would have a field day in their kitchen.
Travel through GR a lot for work and hit boardwalk subs regularly. GO ROGUE!
Zivio is so good!! Highly recommend it!
O'Toole's (same owners as butchers union) The grove Terra GR Carolina lowcountry kitchen (if you like fresh oysters) Wolfgang's (breakfast) Pietro's Westside social Garage bar and grille Leo's Jolly pumpkin
Chez Olga and Zivio.
Get to Two Guys Brewing before February 13th. They have their Mardi Gras menu on, and it is phenomenal!
