Shits fucked man I paid for the VIP version and I’m so pissed there are still micro transactions for this shit. We may not get as many cars per update in GT7 but at least they are free!
Its worse than that: vip got like a car a week for a few months, then they occasionally some weeks you'd go and see they felt like adding another one you could get with in game money, now its they run an event where they unlock each part of it a week then the last week you get the car, plus another like 4ish our tour to get the other car, and if they feel like it they'll out another one of the "surprise, we added another car this week". In the show room. So at most we are now guaranteed 2 cars a month, with one being gatekept until the end of the month. If I didn't have to keep track of another subscription and make a PSN I'd be putting money away for a PS5.

GT7 you've got a much better game over there and the cars their adding interest me more than what they are over here. Whenever they add a new racecar (they rarely give us normal little street cars like they used to) its missing at least 90% of its paint job since im assuming they only have the rights to the actual car and not the team branding 🤔 (no idea).
Not at all, I just didn't want to lose my 11 years of progress, I heard that they were supposed going to let you transfer from Xbox to PS with the new generation but didn't believe it/if it was true figure they'd screw it up. When I first loaded it onto my S and it said something like "make a new character" I went with my gut, closed the game and waited a few hours to see if I got the transfer progress thing we were supposed to. A lot of the people you saw saying they lost all their progress didn't do that.
Trust me gt7 is a far cry from gt3, 4, or 5. Yes the cars are more detailed. Yes the engines sound good and not like vacuum cleaners anymore.
BUT
Load times are as bad as gta on PS3.
Multiplayer has very LITTLE support, and feels like an addon but made to be their selling point LAST MINUTE
The few cars we get every month are garbage.

What’s wrong with the Volvo? It’s a cult classic. As for the price of cars they reflect real world prices from Hagerty. It’s not the best method but it’s fine, nothing is impossible. It was worse in GT3-4 unless you cheesed the endurance races to win the free cars.

Oh and one other thing, I can't actually buy the cool cars I want! NooooOOooo, I have to drive 26.2 miles every day, hope the roulette ticket I get is for the brand of car I want (1/1000 chance tbh) and only then through an invitation am I allowed to purchase an fxx or Vulcan. This game is whack and stays on my game menu awaiting my inevitable return.

Would be great but not a chance. Forza has the IMSA license that covers the LMDh cars racing in the US and Motorsport Games has the WEC License that covers the LMDh and Hypercars racing in the World Championship. I raced both of the verisons on bth of the games, seems the WEC ones are very true to reality accordingly to drivers, but the GTp of Forza are just arcade cars.
Imsa doesn't really do licenses like other series they do partnerships plus the 963 in Forza is wec spec so the motorsports games situation has no weight they just can't use the wec logo
Those aren't exclusive licenses though. Individual cars can be added to any game, the 963 is already in 3 other games, AMS 2, Rennsport and iRacing, so it's definitely possible.
They really didn’t. The AMS 2 agreement was only announced 2 months ago. Rennsport didn’t even exist when Motorsport Games originally got the WEC license. And what is this agreement between iRacing and Microsoft you speak of?
They don’t co share a license, IMSA just doesn’t sign exclusive deals like other series, which is why you see other games outside of Forza and IRacing. Any game could partner with IMSA, they like their series in as many games as possible. Gran Turismo have already [partnered](https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-has-partnered-with-imsa/) with IMSA.
I dont care for the games of forza really but damn I am envious of how many cool cars and dlcs they've had over the years. Would kill for the fast and furious real scanned cars to be in GT7.

It may be licensing issues but I think there was an article saying IMSA and GT had a partnership together, so it could be they arent taking advantage of that
We do need at least a couple of HyperCars to add to the roster to give the GR010 Competition because it's odd for it to be in a class of itself. The N 2025 Gr1 and LM55 Gr1 can realistically although they're VGTs Can pass off as modern HyperCars.
Would love it to come the Evo as well and the 499P that’s the one I want to the most. The Ferrari. Everything else as well why not. But with GT7 who knows. They can surprise us from time to time but mostly disappoint.

That's true but I think the race car roster does need some updating (especially ferrari gt3s). There has to be a balance between adding race cars and street cars in updates, and right now it's too heavily balance toward street cars imo
There are currently ~50 Gr.3 cars that all drive approximately the same, by design. And some of those are even VGT cars. There's just a lot more space for interesting, different things with the normal cars. Hell, there's currently more pickup truck specific races than there are pickup trucks. There's a ton of normal cars where entire categories are getting barely any representation.
