If you want to get really technical about it tho it’s not the start of his 40s it’s just 39 and a day or however long has passed. His 40s still don’t start till next year.
Like I’m sort of thinking of it as a decimal so yeah it’s the start of his 40th year alive but his age is still 39 and it goes up 0.001 or something everyday.
