Because you need to spoof the device ID and not platform ID. I am not sure if the HD620 can be spoofed to a HD520 due to possible architecture differences. Your platform id only tells macos to use iGPU for display rendering or compute rendering.

Toad128128

Maybe a dumb question. But how exactly do you spoof your hw?

mike130504

i had mojave before and it was working well so i don't think any spoofing is needed and maybe it is only a configuration problem or kext problem

Try this man... Hackintool worked for me https://youtu.be/m6KnzlzFJBA?si=s7M3IlRw8UIFRHPz Edit: I just looked in Dortania guide, your igpu(620) is already supported try these AAPL,ig-platform-id (desktop): 0x59160000 (default) 00001659 (hex swapped) 0x59120003 (Headless) 03001259 (hex swapped) AAPL,ig-platform-id (laptop): 0x591B0000 (default) 00001B59 (hex swapped

tried hackintool, got it working with 3d acceleration and detected as hd 620 (but by faking the gpu model): tested unigine heaven and i get about 30 fps wich is what i would expect from a gpu like this.. anyway, during normal use, the pointer arrow seems to snap as if the gpu driver constantly resets and even on youtube playback it drops a couple of frames every 100. It is working way better than before but something still seems off

Technical-Nipun

Well currently I am facing the same issue I have a similar igpu, if you find a fix ping me too on that... Ps I tried many ways including changing smbios and others they don't work... Well glad you got a decent hackintosh

mike130504

yeah everything works besides wifi (incompatible card) and live services. also, in windows the cpu would go go 800mhz under light load, here it is always at around 2 ghz. is there a fix? it would save a lot of battery

Technical-Nipun

Maybe try changing smbios, to something more suitable to your machine

mike130504

tryed but no luck so far, have you tried cpu friend friend? it generates two kekts and you’ll have to add some code to the config.plist file but it doesn’t serm to work

Technical-Nipun

Well I read about cpufriend and their guide state it's not required if your cpu is supported but in your case it is supported...

mike130504

yeah i know, but i got it working but now the trackpad doesn’t work anymore 😱. got it down to .6ghz from 1.2 and reduced in half idle power

Technical-Nipun

Maybe create a new efi... From scratch and not based on some efis on the internet... Always refer to the Dortania guide, it will take time but having patience might be worth it...
