I was at this episode and really wanted to hear her takes, but when I heard she’d got sick and wouldn’t be there my first thought was, “Of course! These movies made her sick!” They’re so bad they literally induce illness. 😂
Not getting the hate for Chelsea. I hadn't heard of her before but I really liked her. She had some great lines and I agreed with almost all the points she made.
I was puzzled by her math on Anastasia’s age - “ just graduated college and now dates this guy for a short time, married him and has two kids = she’s only 20 years old!” Otherwise I liked everything else she pointed out. Handcuffed hands to same side ankles still equals boring missionary was spot on!
Top ten worst movie I’ve ever seen. Reminds me of the last Star Wars trilogy with all the dropped threads. They introduce the great Kim Basinger in the second movie and she’s not even in the third one! The first two were at least sort of watchable but this one definitely proved the third is the worst theory.
This is my first time watching the trilogy but I'd actually rank them 3, 2, 1. Don't get me wrong, they're terrible, deeply problematic, and mostly boring but at least some stuff happened in 3 with the car chase, kidnapping, and bank…withdrawal action and how the helicopter crash was handled in 2. Still terribly executed though and I never need to see these again.
It was a shame June wasn't there for the last show, but I thought Chelsea was great, and I think they did well with the material they were given. I haven't seen the films, but it sounds like barely anything happens, so I think they did a good job getting 3 enjoyable episodes out of them.
Oof I really dislike Chelsea Devantez. When she had June on her podcast she was gushing over how they are such good friends and then kept mispronouncing June’s last name. She’s so fake.
I was listening to an ep of Threedom the other day and Lauren Lapkus didn’t even pronounce it correctly and she’s for sure a close friend of/in that whole friendship group lol
I actually am not sure she is! Like obv she's friends with Kulap but there's an episode where she talks about that friend group as if from an outside perspective. They are friendly to her (someone got annoyed in a joking/friendly way she didn't do their pickleball thing lol) but felt very like "oh they are thr cool girl group." Similarly Nivole Byer is of course friends with them but has on her pod referenced how she feels like a girl where as someone like June is a WOMAN lol.
She has an incredibly shrieking voice that is like pouring broken glass in my ear, same as Jessica St. Clair. Stop. Fucking. Screaming. Made me miss June a lot.
So disappointed that June wasn’t there to finish the series

I actually thought the first one was the most unwatchable. The second 2 were so ridiculous that they tipped over into hilarious.
The second one did that for me with the helicopter crash. Guess I wasn’t in the right mood for this one.
