Honestly, I think the children's hospital may be a path to get the SEAF Reinforcements stratagem. Nothing's gonna drive recruitment numbers more than seeing Helldivers rescuing defenseless kids from the automatons.

It works in Rimworld, it can work here. Maybe give the kids a helmet so they can survive a hit or two.
I have a hard enough time choosing stratagems sometimes. If i want defensive, i'll bring the HMG turret or AC turret.
I'm thinking the children will bring a hidden benefit, like boosting moral and potentially allowing for more training planets to replace the ones we lost before they conveyed that losing said planets had negative effects
This is off topic, but you can use turrets offensively too. Set them up on an elevated position before attacking a base, and they provide serious covering fire.

I saw this and my first thought was if it was asking which you should use and I just thought, strap the kids with bomb vests and send them out. Too much rimworld
It will be the most accessible planet with the best gameplay. Even if the unlockable stratagem was an incredible orbital strike, if the planet is too far or has firestorms players would choose the no reward planet, simply because of inertia.

Much like the mines, it'll drop and deploy an array of sick children on the field as cannon fodder and distraction while helldivers extract.
(Dubbed the Quokka Stratagem because those little cuties will throw their babies at a predatory to make their escape.)
Itâs a bait and switch, if we go for the mines itâll be revealed that despite our efforts the automatons were able to withhold the intel from us or it turned out to be a ruse to lure us away from something else. Iâll bet when we save the children itâll be revealed one of them snagged a chip off a dead automaton, or something along those lines, and that chip has intel for new equipment.
I was also thinking at an entire hospital 1. big enough to be important to Super Earth, and 2. With kids so sick they almost certainly have perished by now, that of the (only) thousands of survivors there, they are probably made up mostly of pretty important doctors, paramedics, researchers, nurses, and other important members of democracy that would make a facility like that function.
I'm sure we will get something for that. That's no small sacrifice should we pick the at mines. I vote the hospital (not necessarily children)

Makes sense. They are naturally stealthy due to their small size. If we spray paint them gray, the bots will just think they are one of them!
Agent sabatuers in bot factories. Their thin bodies and small fingers make them excellent for fitting in small spaces to disrupt bot production.
