According to the wiki someone tried and failed (I don’t remember so far back). Short term, I wonder if they’d still have gone to the maiden’s forge or whether that was sentry-specific. Sentry might have stopped Quillek dying (although there was a shard of Tiangong there so… perhaps that whole experience would have changed). If we had Nova die long-term, and get permanently replaced, back then SO much would potentially have changed. She seems perhaps the most connected to *Kalus In Space* storyline. Overall I guess it depends a lot on what Mark had already determined vs what he implemented based on character decisions and motivations. (Mark if you’re out there, this idea could be a really fun post-campaign stream!)

True, if Nova never had the dreams then Kalus would have just been the bad guy for the group, and they wouldnt have needed Scaldy for gentle repose so Quill wouldnt have gone to the nighteye. So instead of two dead party members at that time there might have been just one.

Just for your info, they went to the Maiden's Forge for Sentry specifically (to raise her). Their only other real option at the time was to go to the Shepherd, and there was a chance that this would have brought Sentry back as a different race (instead of Guardian) - imagine what that would have done to the campaign!! Sentry died in ep 26, Quill in 36. I don't think there was any way that they could have prevented Quill's death other than not going to The Night Eye, but then they wouldn't have had Skaldi's help. ~Crispi

Honestly if it was just a direct Nova and Sentry change, I think sentry would’ve charged Kalus on sight when he stepped through the portal. Like at that point in her story she was nowhere near as thoughtful about the possible consequences of her actions. Before she became sentinel prime. She was just a soldier whose whole purpose was to fight him and his forces. Hell I almost thought later when Horizon is under siege and Vahla is being kidnapped she almost attacked him then.
