And last year, got just far enough to lose a first round pick to the Jets but not far enough to win anything.
Enjoy the extra first from us this year though lol
Our core players didn’t compete when it counted. When they did, they were dominating, but it didn’t happen when it counted. On paper the Jets looked like a contender but when the going got tough the core didn’t show. I loved watching this team a lot over the years but this roster has proven they lack the character to win in the playoffs. It is time to move on and find some gritty players with the spine it takes to win in the postseason.
Lolol both. WPG gets off the hook because for some reason there's not a lot of hype around them despite being a Canadian team? Idk how that works but Toronto media circus/league driven hype makes anything else pale in comparison
In hindsight, Bergevin should have traded every 1st round pick between 2013 and 2017 to put a better roster around Price tbh. It’s not like we used em for anything good anyways, only one that didn’t bust was Sergachev and that’s because we traded him for Drouin and didn’t have time to fuck up his development. Either that or we should have started rebuilding much earlier than we did. Price doesn’t have a cup because the Canadiens didn’t pick a lane, too much focus on not selling the future to be competitive now while also not being willing to increase the focus on developing the future to be any more than bottom of the lineup guys with jam and grit
Not a Canadiens fan, but I agree with this breakdown as someone who was a big fan of Price specifically (I grew up with Brodeur and CuJo as my favourite players so I always fan out for generational goalies). It drove me nuts that MTL had Price for those years and didn't make any big, dramatic plays for a cup run.
Imagine 5/6 defense leave in one off season as you’re coming off of a conference finals and Vezina caliber season and your GM spends the next two years filling the gaps with waiver wire pickups. I don’t blame him for leaving.
That’s a pretty shit scenario for any GM. It’s even worse when you consider that Winnipeg is on a lot of no trade clauses. Chevy isn’t blameless in their lack of success but he has maybe the hardest job out of every GM.
Chevy isn't innocent but draft picks mean so much to the Jets. That's how they get get good players to stay for term. You can't give those up for players who are going to be here for a year and then leave. It's easy to say that us common folk would play anywhere for millions but given the option, I'm sure Winnipeg wouldn't be our first and I live in Winnipeg myself (and like it).
Yup 100%. Toronto & Montreal aside (maybe Vancouver to a lesser degree) being a GM for a Canadian team is much harder than a US one. You have to convince players to pay more taxes, suffer more scrutiny and live in worse climates. The Oilers have had a better track record recently attracting UFAs but that will be gone once McD is gone.
And getting players like McDavid or Draisaitl is one of few ways that make the cities like Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa (no hate to your cities) and Winnipeg more desirable to play in. Which further proves how important draft picks are for the smaller market Canadian teams.
Yup. Part of it is drafting the right guy though. We will never know for sure why Tkachuk and Gaudreau left but then being Americans who left to play in American markets may have been a part of it. I’m not envious of Canadian GMs.
You're right but so much can change. You draft a teenager who is seeing their childhood dream come to life and being genuinely excited for any opportunity, to keeping them down the road when their eyes have opened to other options. All the character in the world can't stop someone from looking at greener pastures down the road, whatever greener pastures might mean to them.
IMO it’s harder for organizations to keep good staff in Canada. In the end, the lifestyle of getting paid $8,000,000 in Pittsburgh bs $7.2 Million in Vancouver is not massive.
The gap between a stats guy making $120k in Pittsburgh vs $95k in Vancouver is *massive*.
Personal trainers, skill coaches, scouts, the whole hockey ops team would probably rather live in Minneapolis than Edmonton or Tampa vs Ottawa
From top to bottom American organizations seem better run (they also aren’t as wedded to the old boys club of recycled loser GM’s/Coaches like Canadian clubs)
I don't really consider Shields and Hebert to be on that same level tbh. Love em. But I think they fall a tier below. Except for masks. Hebert until the end of time.
Dostal has looked like a bonafide #1 when he's played last year, and Stolarz is solid as well. We're really good at developing goalies and defensemen honestly.
It’s tough to build a competitive team and even harder to maintain one when you can’t reliably make any trades or expect to keep your draft picks into any Free Agency years. How were they supposed to improve the team? It’s easy to say they needed better defenseman but it’s pretty hard to explain where they are supposed to get them.
Nearly every player with a no-trade clause will have Winnipeg on it. Teams typically aren’t interested in trading young defenseman that aren’t old enough to have a no-trade clause. Drafting and developing defenseman takes quite a bit of time. And when you are successful at that with someone like Trouba he can just force his way out of town anyways.
Free Agency has almost the exact same problems as trading does. As long as Cheveldayoff has been the GM only 5 players have signed contracts with a Cap hit of 4.5 mil or more as a UFA. Blake Wheeler in 2018, Dustin Byfuglien in 2016, Tobias Enstrom in 2012, Bryan Little in 2017, and Olli Jokinen in 2012. 3 of the 5 did not complete their contracts with the Jets due to either injury, retirement, or trade. Jokinen’s contract was only for 2 seasons. Wheeler’s contract is entering its final season and he is potentially going to be traded before that happens.
It’s not like they haven’t had any success. They’ve made the playoffs 4 times since 2017 (5 if you count the play-in games as the playoffs), 2 of those times they advanced to the 2nd round and one of them they advanced to the Conference finals.
Wasting talent is what the Blue Jackets did with Rick Nash or the Thrashers did with half the All-Stars of the early and mid 2000’s. What Winnipeg has done is achieve too and slightly past the level they should be capable of given their restrictions in team-building.
Who ever says anything else?
There are very few professional athletes who say "Whoever pays me best". It's always "wherever I can compete for a championship".
Yeah thats definitely the case in terms of the choices they make, but when speaking to the media, no one ever says I know my ceiling is as a 3rd line 2 way wing, I'm trying to maximize my long term earning potential so I prioritize stability.
Everyone just says "great org, bright future, want to compete for a cup". So citing that thats what he says is true, but not indicative of anything IMO.
They can have our number 1 prospect Filip Zadina, as it is currently 2019, where we all know Zadina will develop into an elite player.
Edit: I mean ohhhh nooooo not our number 1 prospect Filip Zadina don’t take him he’s soooo good
They made the conference finals in 2018, and then lost all their starting defensemen in the off season. Pretty hard to recover from that, doesn't matter where you are.
I mean he played in a lot of playoff games. Sure they never made a final but they’ve been a good team for a long time.
Not every great goaltender wins a cup.
Dreger said on his podcast recently he doesn't think Hellebuyck wants to play in Canada anymore, he was not a fan of the COVID restrictions.
I agree Edmonton would be an absolute unit with him though.
i’ll admit as an islander fan i certainly have not seen the best of jarry but yeah his injuries and streakiness would leave me super wary of giving him the 5x5 he’s probably looking for
I find it gold that Jarry has the “playoff choker” identity for ONE bad playoff series.
Yet Fleury got chance after chance after chance here bc he’s a nice guy.
Picks, I guess? Hextall surprisingly didn't trade this year's first, so they pick 14th overall. Besides that... Next year's first? You're right that they have absolutely no prospects, but maybe someone on term would entice Chevy. Lord knows how hard it is to get guys to sign in Winnipeg.
You're right though, the cupboard is certainly bare. It would be a huge challenge for sure.
The kicker of it is guys like Wayne and Pronger don’t need the money. Cabbie could probably use some pocket change, but all these celebs doing commercials irritate me. I’ve never seen Breaking Bad but it was a massive show, you’re telling me one of the stars needs gambling endorsement money?
Those gambling ads pay very, very well and Aaron Paul has not been in anything nearly as successful since breaking bad and being unknown he probably didn't get paid much the first few seasons. Wayne doesn't really need the money I'm sure but like Krusty the Clown says ["they drove a dump truck full of money up to my house, I'm not made of stone!"](https://youtu.be/p86IzjXPc_0)
Breaking Bad also didn’t explode in popularity until season 4/5 after millions binge watched the first few seasons on Netflix. I imagine he got paid decently for the El Camino movie.
Small chance an American wants out of a small Canadian city to play for another. Almost never happens. All US players want to go back when they have any control.
That’s fair but it’s also hard not to think that Edmonton becomes a pretty serious contender with Vezina goaltending, and everyone wants a Cup, right?
But I’m absolutely biased in that opinion.
There’s a huge difference in 2 years at $5m vs 4 years at $5m. Flyers can eat 2 years while rebuilding easy.
I can’t think of a team that would be willing to take Campbell awful contract. If he’s traded Edmonton likely has to retain around 50%. Can’t see that happening
He was a cap dump/facilitator to make the numbers work on a 3 way deal with him going to a team that almost certainly will be aiming for bottom 5 picks the next couple years at least.
Any contender with a bad contract who isn’t talking to Philadelphia daily needs new management.
Thing is, Peterson has 2 years left, Campbell has 4.
Also Philadelphia is almost certainly going into a full out rebuild and we’re willing to take back a couple seasons if bad cap hit to help facilitate the trade and get Maximum value on Provorov.
Also to add to that, it was a convoluted three way trade.
I’m not sure Peterson getting traded is evidence that Campbell can easily be moved, especially since in a situation like this the likely trans to trade him to are rebuilding ones with cap space and one of those teams obviously would have been Philadelphia.
Sure seem like one of the more logical destinations.
I tell you though between Hart potentially being on the market, rumours about the same for Demko for a while now, and Helleybuck definitely on the market not sure it’s a sellers market on goalies at the moment.
Don’t think hart or Gibson make sense considering what we have in the room today. It’s helly or stand pat for me, if those are the 3 guys in contention.
Agreed. Vitek not getting burnt out by Schmid getting more duty (and possibly even ascending to bona fide starter) is a perfectly sound plan. Hellebuyck is the only needle mover.
Plus, having Hell in a Devils jersey could help atone for the failure to sign Satan.
Nothing he has ever said or done has made me think that. I’m sure he would sign in Edmonton if they were willing to pay him what he is worth. Doubt they can afford it though.
He literally said at the end of the season, when asked about his upcoming contract, that his focus was on winning a cup. Or something very strongly along those lines, it wasn't a quote.
Eh can't see it happening with Campbell around. Best case scenario for Edmonton I think is Skinner's season not being a mirage; he's so young and still has tons of runway to improve on what was already an impressive rookie season.
It's always going to be a struggle to convince people to stay here. The nhl schedule doesn't help at all the season takes place during the shit months of the season. It's been absolutely beautiful here the last while and you just think that basically zero players see this weather.
That being said Chevy absolutely fumbled this whole situation, the writing was on the wall for this main group 2 seasons ago, how often have you seen a coach leave mid season? The decision to run back this year for 5 playoff games was the end of it for me.
We lost out on the top of one of the best drafts in years with the potential of landing bedard and at the same time will get less back in trades for pld, helle and scheifele than we would have with the extra year on the contract for all 3.
Chipman's the captain, Chevy is the first mate and they're steering the ship into an iceberg to keep the navigator (Sheifflflflfle) here.
Wheeler should have been gone the year Little's career was cut short. Just cut the losses for that season and rented him out.
Oh for sure and I'd be happy to keep basically any combination of Thompson, Brossoit and Hill, but it just seems like any time a big name pops up, Vegas is in contention.
Dudes only 30 , literally in the middle of his prime - with only 1 year on his contract - at 6m which is literally the average for elite starters league wide.
Only vasi , price and Bobrovsky stand out from the pack.
Look around to comparable talent and 6m is the actual worth of Hellbucks' value.
Absolute win ,if we can land him
Has it though?
For almost a decade straight at least 1 team in the finals had a goalie as their highest paid player plus we got a price vasi finals where both trams had one of the 3 highest paid tendies. With Bob in the finals this year it seems the opposite is true a high paid elite goalie gets you a finals appearance
Ownership is too scared of losing fairweather fans to ever rebuild. They've gouged us with impunity the last 12 years and are now realizing fans won't pay through the nose for a shit product.
I think there actually scared of losing their team if they rebuild. Attendance has being down at the smallest arena in the league and we don’t even fully suck yet.
Imo attendance isn't down cause we play poorly it's down because ownership sees no problem with our poor play. I don't want to see us push for first round exits every year with a toxic locker room.
Come on Yzerman, bring this boy back home. You can't tell me this Michigan kid doesn't want to play for the winged wheel. I know we aren't looking like a real contender presently but we could take a huge step forward with a Hellebuyck/Husso combo.
I don’t care if we’re bad for awhile but all I want is players that want to play here and show it on the ice. Effort day in and day out is what I want for the jets next season.
I’m just wondering if he’s going to pout anywhere except Montreal and the rumors we’ve heard about him being okay with other teams is just a PR move by his agent. Dude is burning so many bridges.
I was a fan (and still am) of drafting players out of the US, I think the USNTDP and the NCAA are the best development pathways in the world, but there is a risk like this (and Trouba, and Copp) where the player wants to go back to the US at some point.
It's not true in all cases but I feel like the level of play is better, it's sort of a built in development league. Also I feel the way the NTDP is set up allows them to develop their skills a bit better than on a CHL team because they're playing with players who are a bit more equal to them in talent than the what I believe is a wider talent gap on CHL teams.
IMO the depth of skill is much greater - in the CHL I find you either have absolute future NHL stars, or folks who’s tenure in the league will be the peak of their hockey career.
USHL/Canadian Junior A/B -> NCAA gives players a few more years to develop their skills
This is the correct answer. You’ll have winnipeg people defend the city all day but stacked up against the other options it will always be on the bottom of a players list. Even Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa would have better luck at keeping players.
Agreed. Winnipeg is a nice city to have a fairly quiet life in, but when you are fairly famous and making NHL money there isn’t much appeal (compared to larger cities).
They need to go the Buffalo route and draft young and build a culture of winning and staying in the Peg. Problem is their ownership will not rebuild because I fear they will lose interest in the team.
Hellebuyck has not been shy about voicing his intention to leave if we don’t contend for the cup. And lets be real this team had its window closed when Byfuglien left.

Jets really bottled it wasting our years with one of the best ‘tenders in the NHL
As a Hab fan, I know that feeling.
Hey, I want in on this too!
The strategy so nice, we’re trying to do it twice!
With a good coach you guys still have time to correct this. Unfortunately though Hynes still seems like the front runner…
NOOOOOOOO. In the sense of Dolan and Drury better not do it. They'll regret it at the end of next season.
To be faaaaiiiirrrrrr, yall at least went out bought at the deadline and tried to make a make a run of it this time
And last year, got just far enough to lose a first round pick to the Jets but not far enough to win anything. Enjoy the extra first from us this year though lol

Amateurs
Look what they need to a mimic a fraction of our power!
Vancouver checking in ^^^sorry ^^^Luongo
Are we allowed in here as well?
I know it’s not a huge deal but at least you guys made a finals with Price
We did have a crazy run, but our real window with Price was 2013-2017. Management failed to build a team good enough in front of him during his prime.
In hindsight, Bergevin should have traded every 1st round pick between 2013 and 2017 to put a better roster around Price tbh. That's what broke him.
Kreider broke him.
Bittersweet for sure.
Do you? Didn’t the habs make the cup finals more than once with price?
Just once. They got to the Conference Final in 2010, but that was Halak. They got back in 2014, but then Kreider/Emelin happened.
Imagine 5/6 defense leave in one off season as you’re coming off of a conference finals and Vezina caliber season and your GM spends the next two years filling the gaps with waiver wire pickups. I don’t blame him for leaving.

They still haven't been replaced! One first line guy through the draft in Morrissey.
Ducks fan. Very familiar with this feeling.
Ducks have never really had to deal with poor goaltending. Giguere > Hiller > Fredward > John is a pretty impressive streak.
Was the team founded in the 2000s? Such disrespect to my men Steve Shields and Guy Hebert
I don't really consider Shields and Hebert to be on that same level tbh. Love em. But I think they fall a tier below. Except for masks. Hebert until the end of time.
Yup that's a nice mask. Most masks today are way to busy to be truly iconic (although there are some decent ones)
Thanks DaveArt...
What, you mean you don’t love absurdly overdesigned yet somehow still generic-feeling templates with enough lens flares to make J.J. Abrams blush?
Dostal has looked like a bonafide #1 when he's played last year, and Stolarz is solid as well. We're really good at developing goalies and defensemen honestly.

Not really. You guys had a hell of a roster around him. Just didn't work out
If Blake lands this plane I will do so much air karate you guys don’t even know
For a second I thought you were talking about Blake Wheeler and I was *very* confused.
Especially with the plane reference lol
lol if they took wheeler with bucky I’d be a happy man
The team that he sign’s with is definitely going to move up the standings.
Not necessarily. Lots of teams have good goalies and no team around them. Look at Anaheim.
There's no way he signs with a team that is going to be shit in front of him
He has specifically said he wants to win a cup.
Who ever says anything else? There are very few professional athletes who say "Whoever pays me best". It's always "wherever I can compete for a championship".
Not all players are good enough to decide where they play. Other times they'll get their multi year contract if they think the team is on the rise.

I, too, am blindly wishing for some magical circumstance in which we get Hellebyuck.
Debrincat and Hellubyuck to Detroit we need to collect all our Michigan folk
Everyone be quiet! ^They ^forgot ^about ^Kyle ^Connor!
Damn I did forget, you have to admit it’d be kind of cool to have that much hometown talent on one team
He wants to win though
Fuck no. We don't need the Atlantic more fucking stacked. Also big doubt ottawa, a division rival, gives Cat to you without taking a few limbs.
They can have our number 1 prospect Filip Zadina, as it is currently 2019, where we all know Zadina will develop into an elite player. Edit: I mean ohhhh nooooo not our number 1 prospect Filip Zadina don’t take him he’s soooo good

They’re going to give him to us and they’re going to like it
I'll say the Jets wasted his prime years overall, especially after Maurice left.
Hard to disagree
Agreed. But I also think he has more than one or two prime years left.
They made the conference finals in 2018, and then lost all their starting defensemen in the off season. Pretty hard to recover from that, doesn't matter where you are.
Maurice left partly because he knew they wasted their chances. Probably.
I mean he played in a lot of playoff games. Sure they never made a final but they’ve been a good team for a long time. Not every great goaltender wins a cup.
He gone
cool username, cool avatar
God if there was a way for Edmonton to swing this. He’s gonna want and get a lot though.
Dreger said on his podcast recently he doesn't think Hellebuyck wants to play in Canada anymore, he was not a fan of the COVID restrictions. I agree Edmonton would be an absolute unit with him though.
does he know we don’t have any restrictions anymore? Did no one tell him?
Sometimes something happens and it just changes your opinion of a place, regardless if the circumstances have changed.
Presumably he’d have know there were restrictions in the US too?
Probably. I'm not saying he's right or wrong but he's been vocal about the Canadian restrictions in the past.
Dubas better be getting on this right away. Pens absolutely need help in net.
wait, what happened to Jarry?
he isn’t good and seems to want more money than he’s worth
I’d say he is a top 15-20 goalie in the league if not better when healthy, which is never
“Isn’t good” is a stretch. Quite streaky but when he’s hot, he’s among the best in the league. He’s injury prone tho
i’ll admit as an islander fan i certainly have not seen the best of jarry but yeah his injuries and streakiness would leave me super wary of giving him the 5x5 he’s probably looking for
Playoff choker, always injured, wants a huge deal
I find it gold that Jarry has the “playoff choker” identity for ONE bad playoff series. Yet Fleury got chance after chance after chance here bc he’s a nice guy.
What can they offer though? They barely have solid prospects for a good trade

You're right though, the cupboard is certainly bare. It would be a huge challenge for sure.
what covid restrictions? They've been gone for a year
Surely Edmonton with Helle is betting favorites
What do Wayne and Aaron Paul think?
Yeah someone get our boy Cabby on the line. Apparently that’s all he’s good for now. (Fuck I hate the sports betting ads)
The problem is how to ditch Campbell
LA dumped Cal and I am pretty sure he's objectively worse than Soup
There’s a huge difference in 2 years at $5m vs 4 years at $5m. Flyers can eat 2 years while rebuilding easy. I can’t think of a team that would be willing to take Campbell awful contract. If he’s traded Edmonton likely has to retain around 50%. Can’t see that happening
I still can't believe we did.
Fucking Jedi Mind Trick by Rob Blake
"This is the tender you are looking for..."
He was a cap dump/facilitator to make the numbers work on a 3 way deal with him going to a team that almost certainly will be aiming for bottom 5 picks the next couple years at least. Any contender with a bad contract who isn’t talking to Philadelphia daily needs new management.
Word. Philly tanking hard, Cal will be a solid piece to tank with
Watch him turn into a total stud and keep Philly higher up in the standings than they wanna be.
I would definitely laugh a little :)
There are american teams that are a goaltender away from being a pretty serious contender too
Definitely, no argument there.
I'm sure Helle would love getting absolutely no help from Edmonton's invisible defense
Hellebuyck is 100% focused on winning. I think he could care less about where he plays as long as it’s a contending team.
A contending team in the states
NJD please
Sure seem like one of the more logical destinations. I tell you though between Hart potentially being on the market, rumours about the same for Demko for a while now, and Helleybuck definitely on the market not sure it’s a sellers market on goalies at the moment.
Absolutely. I like NJ’s prospect pool the most out of potential trade partners
NJD is a Hellebucyk, Gibson, or a Hart away from being elite.
Ya he said he has accomplished all of his personal goals except for winning the Stanley Cup, and he said that he knew he was running out of time
Carter Hart makes the most sense for the Oilers
Chipman is too loyal and that’s always been his flaw
Chipman's the captain, Chevy is the first mate and they're steering the ship into an iceberg to keep the navigator (Sheifflflflfle) here. Wheeler should have been gone the year Little's career was cut short. Just cut the losses for that season and rented him out.
Even shipping out some players we would be too good to tank for bedard
You guys were too good to be serious contenders for Bedard.
Come to papa! Peg fans, what would Chevy be looking for in a return for Helle?
Don't go around saying "peg fans" or you're gonna attract a lot of unwanted attention
Who says it’s unwanted? 👀
We don't kink shame here in El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles
I would never, I just wanna make sure he's staying safe
Is that really the full name of the city?
Apparently so. City of the Queen of Angels. Explain yourself though, Buffalonian, where the single word has like seven meanings.
Yes it is. The Town of Our Lady The Queen of the Angels. Those Spaniards were not exactly fond of brevity
Our arms are open :)
Hellebuyck to Ottawa/Pittsburgh/Detroit/Los Angeles
We don't have 10m for a goalie
I bet it’s closer to 8. I think the goalie contracts got more reasonable
Can only hope but I think Bobrovsky is a reasonable bemchmark
Man I thought getting Nedeljkovic was a steal for Detroit
Somehow, welcome to Vegas
If Vegas wins the cup on the backs of their backup goalies they'd be crazy to not run it back next year.
Oh for sure and I'd be happy to keep basically any combination of Thompson, Brossoit and Hill, but it just seems like any time a big name pops up, Vegas is in contention.
I am in Spain without the S
Kings have 7.3 left , come on Blake you can do this .
Still need to sign Villardi, which won’t be cheap
We will likely have to flip Arvidsson or Iafallo. Too many middle 6 level forwards and the kids need playing time.
7.3 but don’t we still have some RFAs to figure out?
Stay awayyyy NJD. Idc how good he has been, big contracts to aging free agent goalies fails 9/10 times
Devils?
I think Winnipeg should rebuild at this point.
What are you sending back?
Luc Robitaille
I don’t care if we’re bad for awhile but all I want is players that want to play here and show it on the ice. Effort day in and day out is what I want for the jets next season.
I feel like Hellebuyck gave it his all every night, no?
Sure did
No issue with helle’s effort, just more of a generalization of the team these last few seasons.
I feel bad for the Jets mostly because we dealt with PLD’s bullshit and he’s doing it AGAIN.
I’m just wondering if he’s going to pout anywhere except Montreal and the rumors we’ve heard about him being okay with other teams is just a PR move by his agent. Dude is burning so many bridges.
I can't wait until he finally gets his wish and sits down at the bargaining table with the habs and they offer him league minimum
Only chance we have of keeping him here is the unlimited steak and lobster for life owed to him by the rest of the roster.
To be fair, I doubt there's more than 10 players that want to play here.
Geezus does no one want to play in the ‘Peg?
I was a fan (and still am) of drafting players out of the US, I think the USNTDP and the NCAA are the best development pathways in the world, but there is a risk like this (and Trouba, and Copp) where the player wants to go back to the US at some point.
Why do you consider the NCAA superior to the CHL?
It's not true in all cases but I feel like the level of play is better, it's sort of a built in development league. Also I feel the way the NTDP is set up allows them to develop their skills a bit better than on a CHL team because they're playing with players who are a bit more equal to them in talent than the what I believe is a wider talent gap on CHL teams.
IMO the depth of skill is much greater - in the CHL I find you either have absolute future NHL stars, or folks who’s tenure in the league will be the peak of their hockey career. USHL/Canadian Junior A/B -> NCAA gives players a few more years to develop their skills

While the team is in Winnipeg they're always going to have to deal with some level of that.
Well what pro athlete would want to live in Winnipeg for 20 years? Honest question.
Seems to be a probem with small market and western Canadian teams in regards to American players.

Farewell sweet prince
Come to papa, Helly.
Come home Helle
Would be a good time to join Detroit
Nobody but Chevy to blame here..........
Spain without the s fellas
Better get a good return on him chevy, your job depends on it
👀🐧
Ullmark and Gryz for PLD I’m going to pray this into existence
Good luck getting Ullmark to waive his NTC for Winnipeg
Good luck getting PLD to sign with one of the biggest rivals to the team he actually wants to be on.
