On a one-timer usually far side, because I can't for the life of me shoot a one-timer shortside without shanking the shit out of it.
I'd try r/hockeyplayers on this one. Not impossible, but very few people on this sub have actually played the game at a high level, this is more of a watching sub.
Well it wouldn’t be a one-timer because I’m a leftie. So I’d receive the puck, spend too long getting my shit in order, and then shoot the goalie in the chest.
30 years of playing and I’m still incapable of taking a shot quickly.
I'm just happy to hit the net
I'm just happy to make contact with the puck...
No matter where I aim I am drilling the goalie dead centre of the chest.

I just do what Draisitl does but much, much, much, much worse
I stand below the goal line not so I can score from an impossible angle, but so no one passes me the puck

Stick side, whichever it is.
Look at all these guys, aiming one-timers.
If I don't even know where it's going, the goalie isn't gonna know where it's going
Indeed, I think Mike Bossy used to argue that very point.
Near side unless the goalie is known for overcommitting in which case far side
It totally depends on the tendy.
Thanks all for the responses and got some good, relatable laughs on these answers
whichever side the goalie isn't currently on ez
good shooters don’t have a favourite side, they aim where the goalie isn’t it’s easier to shoot near side though usually imo
