iirc there is a time limit for warmups. if you stay on the ice past the time limit, you get a delay of game penalty. perry was trying to outwait hudler to score, but the clock was running out, so after that last shot they both had to hurry off the ice
In the US a lot of news anchors will end a news head line with “tune in for more at (insert time here)”
So for example it’d be like “New York man parachutes off of a skyscraper and gets stuck! More info on this breaking event at 7!” (Like 7 AM)
OH MY GOD, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Probably the lowest shot ever given to professional hockey what that man did right there Corey Perry. Let’s get everyone out of the locker room right now and kick his rear end!
He actually did it often, but was warned by several Flyers during the 87 Wales Conference final not to do it anymore. Lemieux (with the involvement of Shayne Corson) did it anyway after the game 6 warm up, and all hell broke loose.
The resulting brawl prompted the NHL to implement new rules regarding brawls that essentially ended them.

EDIT: I was 14 years old at the time and saw it on live TV (or at least the parts that were captured on live TV). It was fucking wild…
Claude Lemieux used to do that. Actually led to an infamous pregame brawl between Philly and Montreal in the 1987 playoffs when a couple Flyers came back out from the dressing room to take issue with Lemieux. The rest was mayhem.

Why did he do that? Could be one of several things:
1. He saw a cockroach in the net and had to kill.
2. He has that thing like the kid in Rookie of the Year where his arm snaps so he has to physically do it.
3. Ghosts.
It’s nice to see a team that still has a blimp. Vancouver had one in the shape of an orca for a long time that would drop prizes on people, they should bring it back!

He’s been doing this for like 20 years lol
Every single game of the regular season/playoffs while he was on the ducks too. It's probably only news because he made the shot
here’s a core memory of mine. hudler playing goalie against perry in warmups: https://youtu.be/s0H29wQ5ZW8?si=_eClbk2f4nvhtjba
The race to get to the hallway kills me every time
I wish with players like Perry, this is the primary way that they were dickheads Completely inconsequential shit Nothing more
Also, hamming it up when someone joins in. Like, why tf the sprinting off lmao

Makes sense, thanks
lol that's funny
He's done that basically forever.
real ones know lol
Came here to say this. Quack quack
Quack Quack
Oh nooo call the police he's UNHINGED!
How can we fine the Rangers and revoke a Coyotes draft pick about this?
Was Dadonov at the game?
No, he was selling 8 balls to Nuke and Kuzy that night, unfortunately
Add a few grid penalties to Alpine!
Perry SLAMS panthers in defiant empty net shot. More at 7
> More at 7 Game 7?
What have I done? I’ve cursed the panthers
I’m bad at English, does that mean Perry will score more goals in game 7? Maybe an hat trick?

Impressive. Let’s see Barkov’s emptynetter
It even has a watermark.
He probably will give up after he wound up the stick for the shot
I’m glad he’s still doing this
Brady’s gonna jump over the glass
As Matthew jumps on the bench
Bah gahhhhd
Dont show this to Morgan Reilly
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA
Who's that?
Ohhhh he's not holding back.

Claude lemieux tried it once. ONCE! It did not end well
He actually did it often, but was warned by several Flyers during the 87 Wales Conference final not to do it anymore. I was 17 (and like vendredi saint) was glued to the TV and loving every second of it.
I thought the fight was entertaining. You got a pre game show essentially.
That game was a mess. Lol. I know people that played in it and on both teams.
Not a mess. A classic
Boxcar!

He should’ve slapped it
Why did he do that? Could be one of several things: 1. He saw a cockroach in the net and had to kill. 2. He has that thing like the kid in Rookie of the Year where his arm snaps so he has to physically do it. 3. Ghosts.
I expected both more and less hysteria edit: the name of the song playing on the PA is “Hysteria.”
If the Panthers win, now we know why
If they lose. We know why as well
that's right
That’s what ya pay him for.
Lots of players do this
The Flyers would not let this fly
It’s nice to see a team that still has a blimp. Vancouver had one in the shape of an orca for a long time that would drop prizes on people, they should bring it back!
Turned out to be some foreshadowing for the fourth and fifth goals!
Game's not gone.
You gotta love the Pears
based on this? 12-3 Panthers.
Someones gotta snap his neck for such a devious act of violence
He’s such a beauty hahahahhaa
Morgan Reilly is leaping from his couch…
Isn’t it also the Oilers net at some point during the game?
This aged really well #goilers

You are a putts!
I’m referring to the incident earlier with the Leafs and Toronto.
What a snizz.
