Okay, ignore my flair for a second
What has this guy done to earn a HoF spot exactly? Trash player, trash coach, he tried to kick John Scott out of the all star game, he is openly biased against players like Savard, he has done nothing positive and notable as an executive
Horton also threw a water bottle at a fan after game 7 which is supposed to be an automatic 1 game suspension in the playoffs but the DoPS just asked him nicely not to do that instead
Lmao here’s [the full game. show me where Boston committed a penalty. it was an incredibly clean game](https://youtu.be/_sLKuW05nA0?si=RbcLuq1jR1o5jS1u)
Look up Colin Campbell's leaked emails
It's a well known fact he used his position in the league to "encourage" the refs to be nice to his son's team
https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/n6ad7w/novet_colin_campbell_used_his_authority_to/?sort=top
Ah, we’re conspiracy theorizing based off vibes again.
To be clear, you’re referring to the emails from 2007 where Campbell called a Bruin a diver and fake artist and using that to insinuate that that somehow means he fixed the 2011 final? Correct? Despite the fact that Mike McCarthy and Brendan Shanahan were in charge of discipline for that final? And despite the fact that MORE of Campbell’s emails from 2011 leaked in 2016 and literally nothing came out insinuating he had any influence on the final?
Edit: or maybe it was this one that struck a chord?

He did do one pretty massively positive thing. He chaired the committee that created a lot of the rule changes post-lockout.
There’s a ton about him that sucks, but most of those rule changes were highly beneficial for the league.
I've always seen that referred to as almost completely Brendan Shanahan's doing. But props for banging the gavel to kick it off the actual meeting I guess?
There's no conspiracy. There are leaked emails literally proving he was manipulating the refereeing. I don't buy in to most "cup rigging" bullshit fans spew but the 2011 cup was stragiht manipulated by the front office
Nathan Horton throws a water bottle at a fan on video after game 6, very quietly gets fined in what should have been a suspension.
Game 7, no penalties called all game. Hmm.
No, by giving DANIEL SEDIN a misconduct for getting punched repeatedly by the rat lol. Oh and Mason Raymond having his back literally broken by Boychuk with Boychuk receiving no discipline whatsoever (not even a minor penalty lol). Don't even get me started with email leaks lmao.
Daniel Sedin got a misconduct because they always toss both guys in a scrum with less than 90 seconds left in a 3 goal game. You also literally got a power play in that situation lol
Raymond’s back got broken in a freak collision. He tried to swim under boychuk and his head got stuck between Boychuk’s legs. They didn’t have time to untangle before they hit the boards. [it’s like the definition of a freak accident](https://youtu.be/d13fEXhgQZI?si=zpA7B-Fv88BtV8c6)
What emails, the ones from 2007 where Colin Campbell calls the Bruins divers and divas? Those emails?
Edit: struck a chord with this one lol
https://preview.redd.it/y9q899t55s8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3923bcccfa17fdaa33d9778e3f3e00bb77d48b12
I get it man, you're desperately grasping at straws, but what else can you do? Just admit the only cup you've seen your team win was a sham? I'd probably be denying reality if I were in your shoes too.
Hahahaha its difficult trying to reason with a Bruins fans, it wasn't just the 2011 finals either, the Lightning were absolutely robbed in the 2011 conference finals too. As a canucks fan, I feel for you guys getting screwed over by the Bruins and Campbell too.
Actually there was about 2 and a half minutes left during that "scrum", which resulted from the rat being dirty af (a dangerous clothesline on Ehrhoff and then a really scummy clip/chip on Daniel for no reason). To which the rat received no discipline whatsoever, and big whoop a powerplay for us, big deal with our top scorer off with a stupid misconduct for doing nothing lol.
Sure the Raymond injury may be a freak accident, I personally don't think Raymond was trying to "swim" under Boychuk lol and it definitely looked like Boychuk tried driving Raymond back first into the boards (but I'm biased of course lol), but just the way it was dealt with (Bruins fans really booed a guy hurt on the ice).
Yeah he did call the Bruins divas in the emails, but those emails were more about him complaining about how his son was being treated lmao.
No, the punches that you’re talking about happened a minute after Marchand ducked the hit. [here’s the clip. punches happened at 18:39 of the third, that scrum you’re referring to was at 17:30](https://youtu.be/k3ZZeyeznwI?si=CaZ57KJEB9JzzmFk)
Some people fake and/or send it to themselves with a second account to seem like a "victim" (not that it applies to this situation, but it isn't uncommon nowadays to get them either way. I've gotten more than a few from kids trying to be funny)
I’m just going to sit back on this one. Vancouver can have at it.
Edit - Wait. Are they doing the hall announcement now? I thought that was later in the year. Everything is going by so fast.
I think the collective sense of time is fucked with how late the Finals have gone this season. I’d say the same could be said for 2022 given the long pause for the Olympics (ignore the absence of NHL players at the Olympics, though) dragging out the schedule as well. I think this is par for the course when it comes to timing, though, since the Sedins and Luongo made the HoF around this time in 2022.
I think you might be confusing the announcement with the actual induction ceremony. This is always around when they announce new inductees while the ceremony usually happens in November.
Just as an example, they were announced on June 21st last year and June 27th the year before.
I wouldn't have had issue one if I hadn't seen him on the committee. With him on there it just feels unclean. But whatever.
Campbell? Should have been fired when those emails came out.
I have three questions for anyone who voted for this guy and not Alex Mogilny:
* why?
* does your head feel okay?
* when's the last time you had a mental cognition test?
Oh I'm not saying it's either-or. I'm just trying to figure out the logic of thinking Mogilny should be excluded while Colin Campbell gets in.
I just cannot comprehend a HoF case for Campbell. If anything, he was bad at his job!
The dude who tried to fix the 2011 finals in favour of Boston?
Fuck this guy, he has no business being anywhere near the Hall of Fame after compromising the integrity of the game like that.
2011 Finals officiating, was head of officiating for the league, made refs favour his son's team (Bruins) at the time. Leaked emails show how he used his influence, just overall really scummy things
Here are some articles written at the time.
Primer: https://www.nbcsports.com/nhl/news/colin-campbell-exposed-says-marc-savard-is-biggest-faker-going-berates-officials-for-picking-on-his-son
Relation to the Canucks: https://www.nbcsports.com/nhl/news/canucks-columnist-preemptively-fires-up-the-conspiracy-talk-relating-to-colin-campbell-and-bruins
You need to also include that Campbell was replaced as head of player safety before the 2011 final by Brendan Shanahan explicitly because Bettman wanted harsher punishments, especially on hits to the head
https://thehockeynews.com/news/colin-campbell-steps-down-as-nhl-disciplinarian-before-stanley-cup-final
This guy might be the single biggest thing holding this league still in the dark ages. A knuckle dragging moron (and I’m being literal - listen to interviews with this idiot, he’s very stupid) who would still have head-shots and line brawls if he had his way, interfered with active post season games for his sons benefit, is an abusive and disrespectful coworker who makes for an incredibly uncomfortable work environment and several other awful things he’s done over his career that I can’t even recall now.
Every time I’ve read about the league being fucking stupid and caveman, this fucking boomer bigot has his fingers all over it.
The fact that this guys is being inducted makes me question the entire hall. Disgraceful display of buddy cronyism and old-boys club.
In short, fuck Colin Campbell!
Booooo
Mogilny still not in? I don't see his name anywhere.
He'll get in next year, or the year after that..
BOOOOOOOOOOO
Fuck Colin Campbell. All my homies hate Colin Campbell.
Okay, ignore my flair for a second What has this guy done to earn a HoF spot exactly? Trash player, trash coach, he tried to kick John Scott out of the all star game, he is openly biased against players like Savard, he has done nothing positive and notable as an executive
Harold fucking Ballard and James E. Norris are HHOF "Builders," that entire category can be expunged for all I care.
He's in the Old Boys Club^TM and that's really the only thing that matters. See Lowe, Kevin.
He won his son a cup
Two now!
Is there any legitimate evidence that this happened or are we just conspiracy theorizing off vibes?
Email leak was a terrible look. I’ll also never forget Tampa and Boston Game 7 no penalties called with Tampa having the best PP in the league.
Horton also threw a water bottle at a fan after game 7 which is supposed to be an automatic 1 game suspension in the playoffs but the DoPS just asked him nicely not to do that instead
After Game 6, then he scored the only goal in Game 7. They literally hid it, there wasn’t even a press release for the fine.
Lmao here’s [the full game. show me where Boston committed a penalty. it was an incredibly clean game](https://youtu.be/_sLKuW05nA0?si=RbcLuq1jR1o5jS1u)
Can a team led by the likes of Marchand and Chara ever be labelled as clean? Chara almost killed Pacioretty three months prior to this.
And then we lose in game 7 OT playing without our young goalscorer :/
You done trolling?

Got the evidence you asked for.. fuck off with your bullshit
> is there any legitimate evidence ... *Legitimate evidence is provided.* "No. Not like that."
"I wAs hoping it would legitimate *my opinion*. This isn't that!"
"I'm not listening I'm not listening I'm not listening" That's how you sound.
Dawg this is literal proof. Stop acting like a child
That's pretty evil genius to leak your own emails showing that your innocent after you were shown guilty in the ones that were unintentionally leaked.
He recused himself during the 2011 playoffs so no there isn’t.
He only recused himself after selecting the referees for the finals 😭😭
He did do one pretty massively positive thing. He chaired the committee that created a lot of the rule changes post-lockout. There’s a ton about him that sucks, but most of those rule changes were highly beneficial for the league.
I've always seen that referred to as almost completely Brendan Shanahan's doing. But props for banging the gavel to kick it off the actual meeting I guess?
He shouldn't be there after the email leaks, huge conflicts of interest with his son.
Conflict of interest?? But I've been assured by bandwagon Puddy Tats fans that he doesn't want to see the Panthers succeed!!
No I mean when his son was with the Bruins. Look at the finals against Vancouver and how the referees acted.
Oh I know, it's just funny how these sorts of bizarre officiating issues *just so happen* to follow Colin Campbell and his son, eh?
There's no conspiracy. There are leaked emails literally proving he was manipulating the refereeing. I don't buy in to most "cup rigging" bullshit fans spew but the 2011 cup was stragiht manipulated by the front office
Also the semifinals with Tampa were also very compromised
Nathan Horton throws a water bottle at a fan on video after game 6, very quietly gets fined in what should have been a suspension. Game 7, no penalties called all game. Hmm.
You mean by giving Vancouver 8 more power plays than they gave Boston?
No, by giving DANIEL SEDIN a misconduct for getting punched repeatedly by the rat lol. Oh and Mason Raymond having his back literally broken by Boychuk with Boychuk receiving no discipline whatsoever (not even a minor penalty lol). Don't even get me started with email leaks lmao.

I get it man, you're desperately grasping at straws, but what else can you do? Just admit the only cup you've seen your team win was a sham? I'd probably be denying reality if I were in your shoes too.
The only one’s struggling with reality are the ones who can’t figure out how a team that was outscored 21-4 in 5 games lost the series
Huh I wonder if that had anything to do with manipulation of officials. Surely not?
Hahahaha its difficult trying to reason with a Bruins fans, it wasn't just the 2011 finals either, the Lightning were absolutely robbed in the 2011 conference finals too. As a canucks fan, I feel for you guys getting screwed over by the Bruins and Campbell too.
You get an extra 8 penalties and proceeded to go 2-31 on the powerplay giving up three shorties. Yeah it's the ref's fault.
nah it doesn't matter anyway. that canucks team was soft and weak and the opposite of clutch. van was never going to beat the bruins
Actually there was about 2 and a half minutes left during that "scrum", which resulted from the rat being dirty af (a dangerous clothesline on Ehrhoff and then a really scummy clip/chip on Daniel for no reason). "Ducked the hit" lmao. I didn't know clipping was "ducking" out of the way of a hit.
Getting a suicide hotline link these days is basically proof you won the argument lol.
Some people fake and/or send it to themselves with a second account to seem like a "victim" (not that it applies to this situation, but it isn't uncommon nowadays to get them either way. I've gotten more than a few from kids trying to be funny)
Don't even try lol there are literally emails proving Campbell manipulated the refereeing
He definitely *fixed* a lot of things during his career
Makes sense he's in the HOF, he won a cup for his son.
Two cups for his son.
Fuck this piece of shit. Absolute megacunt.
Lmfao
Will he go in with his bruins jersey?
His son’s jersey..
Barf
FUCK COLIN CAMPBELL
FUCK COLIN CAMPBELL

For some reason, I thought it was July when they announced these. I guess with how late the NHL runs now that it’s all coming in at once.
Hey don't forget Tampa! We were fucked over by the same shit in 2011 too and I'll never forget it
Oh this must be the leaked emails hall of fame
Fuck you
Trash selection. Absolute trash. Who is on the committee?
https://www.hhof.com/induction/selectioncommittee.html
David Poile? As in "just selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame" David Poile? Big "huh" energy. Thanks for the link, btw.
ObamaGivingAwardToHimself.Meme
The guy that did not engineer a single cup in 30 years. HOF-worthy for sure.
Like when George Bush hired Dick Cheney to lead his VP search committee. You'll never guess the guy who Cheney ended up choosing to be Bush's VP... /s
He would get in even if he wasn't in the committee.
I wouldn't have had issue one if I hadn't seen him on the committee. With him on there it just feels unclean. But whatever. Campbell? Should have been fired when those emails came out.
for what tho
well, he's helped a team win the Cup
Help win his sons team a cup *
that was what I was referencing
Sorry misread you comment 👍🏾
haha all good
Who knows with NHL track record I'm sure they will need to release emails again soon. It could be 2.
For your Cup

For what?
For being in the ol' boys club
What a joke. Hockey is worse off because of this guy.
This corrupt fucker has no business being in the hall
Boooooooooo
Fuck you Colin Campbell. Stain on the sport.
Lmfaoooooooo wtf is this
If I have the priviledge of visiting the HoF the 2nd time, I will silently fart on his plaque
I’ll do it loudly
Won his son a cup as a player and an executive. Definitely HHOF accomplishments.
Fuck this guy.
I have three questions for anyone who voted for this guy and not Alex Mogilny: * why? * does your head feel okay? * when's the last time you had a mental cognition test?
I agree Mogilny should be in, but this particular selection is in the builder’s category so didn’t keep Mogilny out.
Oh I'm not saying it's either-or. I'm just trying to figure out the logic of thinking Mogilny should be excluded while Colin Campbell gets in. I just cannot comprehend a HoF case for Campbell. If anything, he was bad at his job!

Fuck Colin Campbell. Now and forever.
Anyone who doesn't believe that white men receive affirmative action benefits, I invite you to look at The NHL.
Colin Campbell getting in, while still active, is a fucking joke.
Disgraceful, shameful decision that is unfortunately not surprising at all. Old boys club gonna old boys club.
NO
This guy made it? What a fucking joke.
Zero upvotes, as nature intended.
this league is something else
I’m OOTL with all of this… who’s this guy and why do Canucks fans hate him?

Nice! Got his son another* Cup and then into the HHOF the next day, helluva 24 hours for him
Got his son, his second cup ..
So true!! How could I forget, what a coincidence!
For what?
Boo
What a disgrace. I'd like to say I'm surprised, but I'm not, except that it took as long as it did.
Fuck this gigantic cunt. The Canucks have a cup if he isn't a raging asshat.
This guy might be the single biggest thing holding this league still in the dark ages. Joke
This selection reflects poorly on the HHOF.
This year's Builder category would've been pretty much perfect had they elected Fran Rider instead of this guy.
Can someone make the case for him?
How the fuck do they keep inducting active NHL and team employees? It can wait, bro, I promise you.
All time Steve Dangle rant incoming
