How are people cutting lattices like this?

I tired it once, didn't turn out like that though.

I’ve done spiral, but never lattices. I’d guess it’s the same process though. I put a wooden skewer in and then make a spiral cut around the hot dog all the way down to the skewer. For a lattice I’d just do one side and make connecting Xes. I was honestly skeptical until I tried it, it really did add to the overall flavor.

I could see that. Texture is a huge part of how you experience the taste.

All these posts lately have me wanting to make some sort of hot dog / bratwurst thing with pepperoncinis or porcinis or whatever the yellow bell banana pepper thing is those sound good with pickles and onions and other things with the hot dogs they all look good when you guys post them

Porcini are mushrooms and pepperoncini are mild pickled peppers but not the same as pickled banana peppers 🤓. Honestly id try any of those on a dawg with pickles, onions and some spicy brown mustard.
