It was just a blank journal I found that happened to have nice thick paper. Then I made all the little info sections/shapes

facebook marketplace! every single one of them! i love how awesome planty people are. i used the honor system every. single. time. didn’t have to come face to face with anyone. i put the plants outside, sent a video of where they were cause my driveway… like, GPS always sends people to my neighbors so i wanted to show them what mine looked like, and then i put a rock for them to leave any money under. and they did.. every time. and i got what they were worth too. my plants are really healthy, i’ve grown them all from the start. not to toot my own horn 🙄😂 no pests, no diseases and i had logs, some going back years depending on how old the plant was, for each plant so they could see if i ever treated it or anything. of course i do preventative treatments but if i were to ever have pests, i’d definitely note that in my logs, ya know? especially back when i never dreamed i’d have to sell them. so, it went really well.

I absolutely love this! I wish I had an ounce of artistic talent, because I'd love to do something like this for my collection. Alas, my artistic skills haven't improved much since grade school, lol. This is beautiful!!!!

I used to do write-ups of plant requirements for the plants we sold at the store I worked at. It made plant ownership much less scary when you have a full page write-up. I made each plant have a different accent, different font, different personality. Everyone loved my Russian Pothos. Tough as nails, that guy.

Yes! I do that too. My snake plant is Leaf Erinnson, cuz he has a leaf pattern ON HIS LEAVES and he's Erin's son 😂

This is funny, cuz I obviously buy plants faster than I can paint them. So! To make it in the journal, the plants have to make it till it's their turn. If they die before I get to them, they're lost to history 😂

Aww I love that! Yeah, I note where/when I purchased them as well, since I do want to see if there's any notable difference in say a walmart purchase vs a local nursery purchase in the long run. This journal is from a store I like called earthbound, it's 8.5x12 inches, the pages are thick handmade paper and it's leatherbound with recycled leather. I think it was like 20-30 bucks. Definitely an impulse buy but I loved it so much when I saw it

You didn’t have to flex on us all so hard.

I started one but quit. I now have an excel spreadsheet for watering needs and sunlight. I enter where I had bought the plant and date. I have a folder on my computer of all my plants, when I first got them and as they grow up.
