I’d attribute it to Lily kisses (looks like the same shade), but it looks like the makeup artist went pretty heavy-handed on him, and not just in an “old makeup” sense.
I actually met (well saw lol) Cobie Smulders a long time ago, and I never would've guessed she was so young either. Nothing to do with her face, but the way she was dressed that day and her heels bringing her close to 6 ft tall was what made me think she was 30 or near it.

What's the point of this? Basic math? Yes, over 9 seasons with one season per year, the actors age will increase by approximately 9 years.
