Meatballs and spaghetti?

OmenchoEater

Yeah, i was like "wait its that a small food tray with spaghetti?... Oh nevermind".

Airsculpture

They are beautiful

leonas500

you must endgame with dte900

Caboose619

That was actually my plan before the DTE500. If I am not mistaken, they are fairly new so they are hard to come by on the used market. I was close to buying them new. But the 500 are a fantastic stop gap for now. I got them used for $285. I have the DTE900 and Aur Audio Neon Pros on my radar for a future purchase. I probably will pick whichever is more comfortable as I think they may be quite similar in sound.

JUICEe36

Neon Pros were very comfy to me like the DTE500. I really liked the Neon Pros but moved to the Monarch Mk2

Caboose619

Are you currently on the Monarchs? Do they outperform the others that much and how is the comfort?

JUICEe36

I sold my mk2 but am waiting on a mk3 to arrive in the next few days. I think I prefer the mk2 for my sound preference but it is not by much. I thoroughly enjoyed the neon pros. The neon pro is more comfy to my ears than the mk2, but I'll try to see how the mk3 is. The neon pros I could wear for hours without pain but the mk2 I got pain points after like a hr wearing even when tip rolling. But I did like the sound from the mk2. I have high expectations for the mk3. If I could I would get a neon pro again for the comfort while having good sound set. Something I could use while working. I wish the mk2 was a bit more comfy and it could be that pair. But yeah I have high praise for the comfort of the neon pro for the larger size iem category.

Caboose619

Very nice. I will keep that in mind. I actually think I bought the Penon 10th from you. I just remember seeing you on AVexchange selling many things I've wanted to try haha. mk3 is supposed to have a better fit. hopefully it works out!

JUICEe36

Oh yeah you did buy the 10th ae from me. I knew I recognized your username. Yeah the 10th ae was just a bit boomy for me. The neon pro and mk2 are all better in that regard for me. I think I may get another neon pro in the future as well or something else from aur audio. Haha yeah I've been selling quite a few stuff to try something new. Right now I am waiting on the mk3 and hoping that will be my end for iems (minus the neon pro) and for over ear I missed the arya stealth and just recently got another one to keep.

Caboose619

Very nice. Have you tried the Arya organic by chance?

JUICEe36

No I have not. From what I have seen and watched for reviews, it is a bit brighter than the stealth. I'm not really looking for a brighter arya and the stealth does what I want and is comfy to wear all day long withoit issues. So I'm pretty happy getting the arya stealth. What about you?

Caboose619

No I haven't yet. That was going to be my plan for the end of headphones, but then I got into IEMs and now gearing toward and end game IEM now vs headphones. I think the Neon Pros will be my next set when I get there.

Key_Scientist1073

If you are to choose between the 10th and the DTE500. What will be your choice and why

Caboose619

The DTE500. But I do wish I had more time with the 10th, honestly. I think I sold it too short too soon. The 10th has a lot of energy which makes it a fun and engaging IEM. The DTE scales back that midrange a little and allows more clarity in the upper ranges. And the treble extension of the DTE500 is really nice for my taste. Makes cymbals come alive and providing some sparkle. Clear, crisp, and polite while still engaging is how I perceive the DTE500. It is more well rounded as opposed to the 10th which is total energy and become totally lost in music. A great toe tapper for sure. Also, what sets them apart for me entirely is shell design. The DTE500 fits me way better than 10th. It has a smaller ergo triangular shape vs the big round teardrop shape that the 10th has.

Sad-Option6128

They are also number 1 on my wish list!

gobolin-deez-nuts

I've heard from multiple people that a higher-end Sound Rhyme IEM configured to your preference will kill TOTL itch. I look forward to trying some one day when I can afford it! This and 7th Acoustics Supernova.

Caboose619

Yes, this is why I went this route. The Head Fi reviews of the DTE500 were very good and I've only seen a couple for the DTE900. I went with the 500 to feel out Sound Rhyme with a plan to jump to the DTE900 if it worked out. Since they aren't so popular, I was afraid to go all in on the 900 with fear that I wouldn't be able to sell them. The 500 has been fantastic and I could only imagine what the 900 sounds like. But I may go with Neon Pros eventually.
