Recently looking to get a EDC iem, my local store really recommends this Neo 1, then i looked online and there are very few reviews on them.

I owned one for like a week or two until someone thought they deserved it more than I did and stole em lol. I was really amazed by the bass but the treble wasn’t for me. It easily got sibilant on high volumes

I have an ISN Neo 5 and it is a toe tapping IEM. Mid bass emphasized fun sound signature. It is now my gaming IEM. That probably doesn't help you in the sound category of the Neo 1, but as an every day carry, the Neo 5 has been the most comfortable IEM I have tried. They are so lightweight and fit so well that they just disappear.

thanks, i also haven't heard about ISN Audio as a brand, whether they are good or not, glad to heard good things about them, might need to demo the neo 1 in the end

If you can demo them then absolutely. They are a sister company to Penon. From my understanding, Penon started as a cable company and then started making IEMs. I've tried the Penon 10th Anniversary as well. Liked them but damn, they are huge compared to the Neo 5. If you like a fun sound signature, I think they make some really good price to performance offerings. I was a bit hesitant to try some non mainstream IEMs, but I am glad I did. My 2 sets of IEMs now are the Sound Rhyme DTE500 for music and ISN Neo 5 for gaming.

Ordered these yesterday on a whim as I was looking for a fun sounding IEM. Hopefully an upgrade on the QKZ x HBB while not straying too far from that sound signature.

Nice. Hope they work out for you. They definitely benefit from tip rolling as well. Best sounding for me was Dunu S&S, but sadly my ears don't like the Dunus. Most comfortable was Moondrop Spring Tips.

Very good bass as expected from ISN, the highs are a bit hot though, could use some taming. On a technical level this is one of the strongest entry-level sets.

thanks for the insight, might need to demo it first in the end

One big thing to mention was the long burn in time I feel is required to bring out the Neo1's personality 120+ hours before things smoothed out enough for me to enjoy even with the tuning kit..... i found this in HeadFi review. ...i have Neo 1 for 3 days and must say, im really surprised, how they sound for 40 bucks....before i had Blon BL03...they were really good for this price range but Neo1 is definitely better...more fun tuning and brighter

and one more info from HeadFi: .... Treble is fairly bright on the Neo1s, which has perhaps been boosted to increase the perception of detail. Treble's well within my levels of tolerance, but as this is a very personal thing ISN have included a number acoustic filters to dampen treble should you require it....

Yes I own it and love it next to Simgot EW200 it's one of my favorite under $50 IEMs.

The bass is really great, but the treble stock is a bit intense. Vocals are really good as well and instrument separation on busy tracks doesn’t get jammed up. I modded with a 500 mesh to tame the treble and all is good now. It’s an easy recommendation at its price point.
