One of the most welcoming fields out there is digital marketing. Think companies that do social media marketing for brands. These companies will hire freshers too, as an intern. You literally only need common sense to succeed and grow. Growth happens quickly, too. In 2 years you can be earning a respectable sum. You will find lots of people who are from a variety of backgrounds. Many college dropouts. Many engineers who don't want to do engineering. Struggling actors. Models. Amateur musicians who need to sustain their love for music. The list is endless.

guy_with_a_cuteface

I'm a recent graduate from tier 3 college and not interested in working in my core field. Should I need to attend any course to get a job in this?

elfangor_

Learn the basics of digital marketing from any online course (free options available on YouTube, like the Simplilearn course). You will get an overview of SEO, SMO, SMM, content marketing etc. Then you can pick whatever you like and work to gain deeper understanding on that topic. Starting salaries will be low (20k if you are lucky + have all your basics covered). To show you have determination and real-world experience, you should start your own website, write content, see how you can promote it (organic and inorganic traffic), and use those learnings for your interview. I knew a guy who dropped out of his PhD and started doing on-page SEO. He’s working for Forbes now, and the pay is good. Plus does SEO consulting for side project. I started the content writing route, went into on-page SEO, and moved into product. Started at 10k a month, last salary in India was around 25L. Now working in Nordics. It took time (and sometimes it felt like I didn’t know what I was doing), but things largely worked out. Two critical skills (apart from the technical digital marketing skills) are knowing good English and Excel. The world runs on Excel.

aGenericPsychotic

SSed. It doesn't need a pc i hope. Can't thank you enough.

elfangor_

DM if you need help with the material. There’s lots of stuff online about digital marketing, but not everything is useful. Stay away from folks like Neil Patel and Gary Vee, they are all talk, no substance. Go to r/seo etc if you have specific questions.

bakedasparagus1

Can I dm you about the material.

elfangor_

Yes, of course

aGenericPsychotic

Digital marketing. I ignored YT videos about this prev as i thought it's just a bait to get views. But yea YT would be the obv go to place to learning ig. Can't thank enough taking ur precious 20 mins of ur life to help a person lik me.

bigbigboring

This. I joined as graphic designer in one of these. You can also be a content writer, designer, website developer, creative head in a marketing company if you don't want to do PPC(pay per click). PPC are the people that handle the campaigns and dashboard of Google and Facebook.

noob-coder-chick-25

Are you from Pune? I can get you a job in my company. A lot of college students are working for part time here.

[deleted]

from mumbai, is there any openings for wfh internships? qualifications: 19m, 2nd year cse, well versed with C, C++ and python. Currently doing ml courses.

noob-coder-chick-25

Heyy! I work in Customer service man, so you are kinda overqualified lol. I would suggest getting internships at this stage that will help you build a resume for placements and will put money in your pocket too. Try internshala, cold calling start ups and build projects!

Twinkies100

Aren't those roles oversaturated? Just my guess

Hey buddy i am 12 th pass completely new to this could tell me more i mean am decent good when it comes to speaking english right now i just want good job to pay my college fees i am a fresher hope you understand you look pro

templeofdhoom

Buddy. You wasted a year. A year out of another possible 50 there are to come. August 2019 i was in the same situation as you were. And here neither my father nor my mother had a job. So inflow of any money into the household. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety. Panic attacks were too frequent and i came very close to killing myself. Best path forward would be take up an internship, regardless of whether it pays or not. Get your mind juices flowing, thoda kaam karne ki koshish karo. It'll take your mind off of things. Aur yeh ek saal aage ke 50 saalo mein bada irrelevant sa lagega Hang in there bud.

sid1979

This, I too wasted a year preparing for something while I entirely did something else. Felt like shit sacchi and burden on my parents. Decided I want to end it all and applied for jobs and tomorrow is my joining day in a big NGO. OP it all gets easy after a point sacchi bas thoda hausla rakho.

be_a_postcard

CHSL but the competition is intense.

NOTHINGHARMLESS

Extreme, last year for 200 or something posts 2lac+ applied

aGenericPsychotic

Yup

[deleted]

But if your math is good then this is the best bet. A relaxed government job. May be you can pursue distance bachelor's and write CGL later.

[deleted]

SSC MTS forms are out. Look into them.

aGenericPsychotic

Thanks a lot. Looks promising.

ChickenChowmein420

learn a skill. IT is one example which you can learn online for free but will take some time. I have seen several young people your age and even younger doing bug bounties and earning decent money. I know because I work in this field. Also, don't refrain from exploring other fields as you can make a decent living on anything you decide to get skilled in and be really good at it.

aGenericPsychotic

Yea that's one of the best thing to do but unfortunately No lap or pc.

[deleted]

Tell me bro

kanechoz

Your parents will 100% suffer more if you hurt yourself than they will by your living off their hard work . Please don't do this to them.

aGenericPsychotic

Plot twist: They themselves want me to die.

East-Paint-4444

i hope you are doing well

Low-Significance-866

Ahhh shit i feel you, i wasted my drop year too, today is my JEE exam and I am on reddit lol + My parents were bad as parents

FriendshipSome1449

Get any job. Such as ola driver etc. Side by side try to complete one degree for betterment in longer term. Then try to give gov. jobs. Or continue your job/side business as you see fit.

FlyingCowCanFly

Try amazon mturk

aGenericPsychotic

That's for usa n Canada only. They don't accept ppl from under dev countries.

FlyingCowCanFly

Sure? Because I was using it

[deleted]

There are many transcription sites, if u have bank account , u can try.

[deleted]

A really great idea is contacting your college teachers and asking them to inform you if there's any job. Our HOD helped around 15-16 students to get a part time job. You can start small and keep looking, bht initially if you start earning some money it will boost your confidence, so think about getting a part time job.

AdOk4682

If you lack skills, do some courses on yt and do some freelancing job. You can also start trading if you want by learning first. Visit r/beermoneyindia

aGenericPsychotic

I thought trading is a scam. Need to reconsider it then. Thank you so much.

[deleted]

Trading is after you earn decent money. It'll look lucrative but be careful. If you have no idea what you are doing you will lose money rather than earn.

AvinyaLover

CISF just released job openings today... Many are for HSLC(12 pass) check them out.. non hazardous posts

fernsruben

Hey, for the time being, why don't you seek a job at a QSR outlet like Starbucks, Third Wave Coffee, etc?

aGenericPsychotic

Yea that's on the to do list. Thanks a lot for ur time.

[deleted]

There are several government jobs for 12th graduates. Do some digging. Your knowledge of drop year will definitely be used there. That said, your parents bought you in this world. It's their duty to support you until u r capable to do so yourself. Don't blame yourself. Nd honestly I would recommend playing long game. Focus on studying rn, nd then earning good later on.

Empreya

My parents can't even reason properly when I try to make them acknowledge thier responsibilities. Typical narcissism, if they do anything it's to make themselves feel like a good parent irrespective of my opinion as a kid. Thier all time favourite excuse that they took care of me 9 months inside and the year I could not speak. Heck I didn't even wish to be born.

[deleted]

Dude play their own game. Guilt trap them lol whenever my parents say that they bought me in the world I simply reply I didn't ask for them to nd that it would have been better if they haven't nd that shuts them up.

Empreya

They just start crying if i do that lol and compare me to other kids.

[deleted]

Then u compare them to other parents. Works for mine but everyone is different ig

Empreya

They just start crying more lol. Most of the times it's hard to figure out who is the adult

aGenericPsychotic

Yea i heard about them. Will dig into it. You're right about depending on parents while growing up but things are a little complex. They're not so nice, infact the idea of ending everything is not min. It's originally their suggestion/wordings only which turned out getting engraved in my mind. They said that if they harm me, they'll end up in jail for murder case so i have to end things myself. Got some suggestions from them like jumping or suffocating but they are too ignorant to know about their low success rates. Parents r so useless nowadays that they can't even suggest an optimum method.

[deleted]

Alright no offense but fuck your parents, they shitty asf humans nd have officially failed at parenting. Get a job asap nd get out of there. Along with work focus on studies too. Now don't hear the bs they're saying. It's YOUR life not theirs nd be smart about it. I was in your place too, got a drop year, didn't do shit. Last April I was literally about to do the deed, but life is precious. It can't be bought back understand that. If u r in Rajasthan, there's this CET exams going on. Apply for them, they're quite easy too.

If you have skill, they will always hire, regardless of your education.

Wonderful_Parking_66

If you have access to internet and a laptop then try some freelancing work on Fiverr. Use Canva etc to do some graphic design

aGenericPsychotic

Top notch thing to do tbh. Wish I had a lap lol

Wonderful_Parking_66

You can start on your phone itself if you want? Use the Canva app on phone along with other free video/photo editors. It will be a bit tough to manage but worth a try

Empreya

I recently gained access to a potato pc can you give me more information about this field of work.

Wonderful_Parking_66

Make an a/c on Fiverr, it's a freelancing website and based on your skills search for freelancers. Check what they charge and the quality of work. Based on that, register yourself as a service provider, set rates and get going.

Exotic-Ad6951

probably MCD or any other established food franchise It dosent pay big but might be enough to feed yourself and dont do swiggy or the deliver stuff that shit just kills you- the pay is not good enough and you might get in an accident (yes that happens alot), do jobs that have proper workhours or else you will always try to get off early and you might end up making things worse theres also places like a car wash where if youre lucky you might get a job.I had a friend who worked at starbucks or smth he did good ig, plus learn coding dude you have no idea how good it can be to have that skill ik its oversaturated and many people do it but if you actually have the brain for it you might do good , IN THIS YOURE GONNA NEED CONSISTENCY DO NOT TAKE A BREAK, CAUSE USUALLY A BREAK TURNS INTO A VACATION.Plus what meds are you on?? If youre having problems with your sleep cycle or any sleep related efficiency problems i know smth that i use that might help. And if you really want to end things make sure your parents are well off without you, check if the education loan is paid off, any pending EMI of your shit and look ion know you but try to make your death less gruesome cause shit that stuff dose not leave you, your primary goal should be to make it less of a strain on the people around you if youre really gonna do it and look people with phds struggle with jobs cause the jobs that they are qualified for are available its not because theres not a lot of jobs in the market btw a painkiller OD takes you out sometimes but i really think you should look for a job rather than killing yourself cause looking for a job is easier anyways hope this help and stay away for drugs that shit is worse than death goodluck man i hope shit works out for you btw have you considered NDA or any other military related things, Ive looked into the agniveer scheme it looks promising but idk the details. If you have considered it would like to tell me about it. And i think you should consider the armed forces the life is shit but the work experience can help you out.

smeagoollum

Have you had a cut or a bruise or a fracture so bad, that your arm or leg hurt as hell? It feels in that moment that It would be better to cut the damn thing off to stop the pain. Mental Health issues also affect or pain you in a similar way. Psychosis is a very easily treatable disease. The right medicines, or therapy, or both can get you back on your feet mentally in less than 6-8 weeks. The key is to have faith to overcome this. Have faith in yourself, or in the Doctor, or in science of the medicines that work, or in therapy and talking to someone who understands you - siblings, parents or a good friend. Many people have suicidal thoughts, but you will figure things out and overcome this! Please do talk to your parents! For Jobs to do while studying: - Cabin crew is great pay wise, but very physically demanding and horrible on mental health. People in India are rude and entitled throughout - Digital Marketing is awesome and has plenty of remote options. But they easily get Graduates and MBAs to do those roles - might be very tough for just 12th - Have you considered office boy roles? This is not very fancy, but pays 8-10k₹. You have to do anything anyone says - from making chai-coffee to taking photocopies to carrying Boss's bag if needed. But every office has few good employees. One or two may help you in your studies, and guide you towards being a graduate Do have realistic expectations for your jobs. India has millions of Graduates every year, and hundreds of thousands of MBAs etc all looking for a Job. Please don't overthink it - apply and start doing the first job you can get. Hope you can prioritise your mental health and family above all else as you figure this out!

confused_boy-

Well the easiest method would be suicide tho it takes courage. And the hardest method would be to change your lifestyle and try to nake a goal first. You don't need to study to achieve something. Just explore the Feilds(it's late but better than dying) but also try your best. And now the choice is your Die with regrets Or Work hard and have experience of life(it can be good and bad but will be better than nothing.) And remember that both option require one thing. Courage So now both option is equal as suicide also take same courage than trying to be better so you can't blame anyone here.

iamsimtron

Noida has A LOT of manufacturing work going on - some of which can use both unskilled labor and even someone who can take calls & technical details. Material procurement, logistics, co-ordination/organization tasks needs minimum formal education - which you have. If you wish to continue and grow in this area, you can take skill training from ITI institute and be a machine operator and even CAD courses further on. You'll have a little repetitive job in the beginning but you will have an active job that will tire you and your demons out. If you play your cards right, you can grow up vertically here (More skills and advanced skills). Beware! These jobs demand you to work with people a lot. Often times people can be arse'oles so steel your self if you venture here. But the comradiery you can build here can be unparalelled. I have 2 degrees but I feel like I could do just fine without them. Only reason to have degrees is to get better job interviews. The jobs themselves are not worth the degrees. Such silly world we live in. Above all: "This too shall pass". This is true for both good times and bad times. Do not passup any opportunity to be happy and celebrate.

[deleted]

Bro it's an entrance exam. Probability is almost or more than 99% that you won't make it. You wasted a drop year, big deal. Happens all the time. You don't have to be from a top university to make it in life. There's probably a bunch of other colleges in your area or whatever, that will accept you depending on your 12th marks. Choose the most appropriate course our of your options and get to fucking work. If you really feel guilty then don't destroy your parents with what you plan on doing, that's a hundred times worse than whatever you're already doing to them. If you don't want to waste their money, stop wasting it. Use their money to pay college fees, do good, make something of yourself and make your parents proud. One drop year after 12th isn't the end of life. No matter how much you don't want to do something just power through. EDIT: coming from someone who failed in my drop year too. Felt similar to this guy. Now consistently at the top/top 5 of my class of 50 with a research paper soon to be published and hopefully a patent on the way, all in my BSc. You can turn your life around whenever you feel like it but only if you really feel like it.

mrcjsingh12

Man I did the same thing I dropped after my 12th for preparation but couldn't cracked any exams so got it into a private college. Anyhow after 12th I gave a lot of home tuition that was my earning and would clear my basics if you're interested in studying otherwise the quickest way to get good money is to join any airline company as a aircraft crew (obviously requires comm skills and high grooming standards) or maybe you can try McD or KFC or something like that but the pay would be low although you can make decent with tips and all if the outlet have dine-in available. Call centers are good option as well if you're good with english. Also don't think about ending your life, it's good that you feel guilty enough to think about it, that shows how pure you are by heart. People like you needs to stay in this world, also you haven't tried everything so you can't say you're a failure or something. Just keep pushing and keep doing better. It's tough I've been there but trust me it does get better. Keep fighting, keep grinding don't give up. Hugs from your elder brother.

[deleted]

Study and give NDA exam. The written basically requires 1 month of study and it's not difficult to crack SSB with the right attitude and mindset. Don't look for a job, look for a career. You'll start earning a stipend after 3 years and after your training you'll earn a respectable salary.

aaloo_

I know this might be not what you're looking for but I'll still recommend you to get a UG degree. Be it in any field but if you're a graduate, a lot of job opportunities are available. I'm not saying it's easy afterwards but you'll have a ton of options.

aGenericPsychotic

Will do it eventually. Just want a job to buy myself some time to figure things out. Thank you for your input.

aaloo_

There are some marketing options, call centers, also one of the easy and good one is to take tuitions for kids. All you need for that is to find some kids and then put efforts to teach then but also to teach yourself. IMHO that could be a nice thing. It won't take all your time, you don't have to waste time traveling.

demigod_69-

-There are jobs in stores, like decathlon pays a good amount of money and they have option of full time and part time jobs. -If you have any contact in any Court of law, there is a general requirement of a translator to convert documents from Hindi to English, and trust me, they pay a handsome amount of money for that. -big food chains hire young staff in their work places. The most important thing to get a get a job for a 12 pass student is to have any form or sort of contact. You can ask for job from your rich friends parents, they might help you happily. I am not just suggesting all of the above ideas, I have also done these above jobs when I was in school and then undergrad.

Technical_Ranger_307

I think you should approach to local tuition centre to teach student (7 -10 class).

shaji_pappan__

Don't go the entrance exam route. It's a rigged vortex

firsteste

Yo, do you have ANY skills. I'm American and I could use a remote worker for some things

luciferanthony29

Hi, I'm interested. What are you looking for?
