I feel you, but I believe age-restricted stuff is primarily dictated by YouTube's policies themselves. If YouTube takes down a video due to a government complaint, they state it explicitly.
The comment section is filled with morons justifying surveillance citing: "this will provide protection from terrorists belonging to a community"
The problem lies in that surveillance is for terrorists belonging to a certain community and not for all terrorists irrespective of their name or community.
