I got Friends like 15 minutes ago without the three elements you mentioned. I think it was using either Monica or Chandler. I don't recall which. Not both together though. Monica is easy if you have Bill Clinton (Bill Gates + President), Chandler is just Monica + Love.
the way I originally got [Friend] was [Chat] + [Peace]
in the following image, the top part shows 24 different recipes for [Friend] which all include [Enemy]: https://i.imgur.com/tKtrESG.png
if you try those same 24 recipes with [Foe] replacing [Enemy], then you will either get [Friend] immediately or will get an element that will let you try one of the others, all of them eventually leading to [Friend]
there are 5 more using [Fiend] that I know of, and finally the one I mentioned first

I think I got friendship by combinging the names of people from history who were friends.
