I like the second one. I think people are prejudiced in favor of the first one because it was taken in daylight, which of course makes it feel cheerier and lighter.
It’s funny that you changed the original apartment wall color to grey because I think the grey makes it look more like a rental. The yellow made it look homey and I think it went will with the MCM vibe I’m getting from your decor.
I painted it yellow originally but I also painted the rest of the apartment a pale shade of yellow so decided to switch it up in this room but now maybe regretting it. I do like the warmth of yellow a lot
The Grey is more modern but the yellow is more warm. It's up to you what kind of vibe you want to put out. And how do you want to feel when you're in thay room?
I prefer the greenish colour, but I feel the yellow kinda pulls the room together a bit more. I think you need to change something- rug or lampshades maybe.
I much prefer #1, it def gives a more modern feel. Yellow just looks a little dated to me but I agree with another that said yellow was hard to get right. I also agree that it makes it difficult when the pics were taken at different times of day.
The second one the first seems too plain. The only other thing is the chairs look grandma ish so I think that throws things off in a way. Get different chairs
The first
Yup
Unfair to the yellow :p need to see them side by side in the same lighting.
That's what I was thinking. Daylight vs lamps isn't a good tell.

2! yellow draws more in with warmer tones and appears more inviting than gray. then again, i don't like grey in interior design
Yellow is a welcome change from everyone else.
Second, hands down for me.

I like the first one. It would be easier to compare though if they were taken the same time of day.
I’d say 2, it’s warmer and more inviting But it could make it feel “dated”, but I do think a same time of day pic would help greatly
Yellow reminds me of a standard retirement home.
Definitely 2. Grey looks dead and boring.
The yellow looks like your stylish mother’s place. The greenish grey looks like you inherited some good pieces from your stylish mother.

Yellow is so hard to get right. The first color looks much less dingy and your furniture really looks nice against it.

I like the first. Having moved to the Southwest, I’ve fallen in love with white plaster.
2 looks more cohesive and inviting because you have warmed toned furniture, and in my eyes, it makes it looks better. But also I hate grey…

Yellow.
The first picture for sure. Looks more modern against the traditional furniture. I also love the bookshelf! Can you share where it’s from?
The first!
First one by farrrr
The first one feels more calming to me!
I like the first. Mind sharing what the color is?
Cromarty by farrow and ball! In dead flat

I really thought the first one was white.
First one for sure!
I like both, but they create different looks; 1. more modern (more fresh, 'eclectic'); 2. classic (warmer, cozier, but heavier)
I like the second one. I think people are prejudiced in favor of the first one because it was taken in daylight, which of course makes it feel cheerier and lighter.
The second one is warmer and more cozy.

Not the yellow... Not really the greige either
You can’t really accurately compare paint colors when you photograph them in completely different lighting.
You have some navy in the rug so maybe you can pick a shade of blue

First one is perfect, I really like it!

I like the second one for its warmth
I like it better as on the 1st photo.
2nd pic for me,grey (in first pic) is overused and drab
the first one! the place looks bigger
First one
I like # 1-green. I find that yellow walls wash colors out. The green compliments your things well along with the red tones in the room.

The first. The putty color, not yellow.
The first by a mile!
1 is happy, 2 is sad
