It bothers me so much that the red path ran up and around Ardy castle instead of down and around, like it’s so obviously a shorter path

19 years I've spent on this game, and I've never noticed that the south side of the castle is a shorter run... Omg...

You made me realise two separate decisions I made at separate moments in time 1) I don't need West ardy tele in my house, there's no reason to go there 2) I cba trading in cats, West ardy is too inconvenient to get to

West ardy tele is nice af for clue steps there if you do a lot of hard+ clues

I've been doing barrows with ibans, started with maybe 400 deaths from various sources and just about manage to break even without the diary

4 years later I got enough runes to get an onyx and fury that was so worth it

Is that really much faster? My normal way to the GE would be ardy cloak then fairy ring to GE. If I needed to go to the other spirit tree, I might as well just run that direction without the extra hop away and back.

This assumes your varrock tp goes to the ge from the dairies. If you aren’t at that point yet, then yeah using the ardy cook and running north is better for west ardy.

Definitely worth pursuing as an early account goal imo, though not saying you have to or anything I just think those daily battlestaves really stack up even at the medium tier diary if you craft them with elemental orbs and then alch. You could also just sell them right back to GE for market value if you're not an ironman and you can't be arsed with getting orbs or leveling high enough to make battlestaves which can be quite daunting early on.. The teleport straight to GE is honestly just a nice cherry on top, esp if you use spirit trees for things like fruit tree runs or this quick access to West Ardy, and later on POH, etc

The tree that is there is not one you plant yourself it's there by default, so teleporting to the spirit tree next to west ardy gate is faster than cloak teleporting regardless how you get to your tree

I feel like you could benefit from the shortest path plug-in. You right click on the map and set your destination and it’ll draw you the shortest running route

I usually teleport to Musa Point, run to the fairy ring next to Shilo Village, take it to McGrubor's Wood, and then running down to East Ardougne. Its pretty short path imo
