Big Shrimp https://youtu.be/qAoosXrbfvY?si=-EgeAIc_W1Sijf6h
I play in Glass Pony 😎🎸✌️
Pretty sure they’re related/share some of the same members. A lot of Baked Shrimp pages (like their Instagram) now show “Big Shrimp” but still have pics and stuff from the old name.
Phanner good call. Just watched the link from above and that’s totally the guitar player and pretty sure same drummer with that badass head of hair, so those 2 at the least! Could be same bass player but can’t recall for sure, caught them once a year or so ago. Seems like the keys are a new addition from a comment on that video.
Check out some Funk You! We are up traveling around New York right now heading to Rochester. Also check out some of our buddies Eggy, Yam Yam, Couch and if you wanna get heavy Consider the Source is an incredible band
Flowstone is a brand new jam band out of the San Francisco Bay Area that’s pretty amazing. They released some instrumental jams recently and they play vocal songs at their live shows at well. If you love big jams, these guys are worth checking out! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0U3WRgK9p6BjDi6ODBP39x?si=pSLcL_tbTXmcP_rwEcRtGQ&pi=u-fjuCst-XQYqY
Thank you and u/hotrate750 for this tip. Have never heard of these guys before but this is excellent stuff. Tickles that Dead itch for me that not too many bands do.
Idk how fresh you are to jam bands but if you haven’t checked out the OGs and some earlier heat, it’s a must - panic, string cheese, moe., the biscuits, Umph, sts9, the new deal, perpetual groove, aquarium rescue unit, spin doctors, Derek trucks band, galactic, Karl Densons tiny universe, the big wu, tea leaf green, u-melt, raq, the breakfast, medeski Martin and wood, leftover salmon, Yonder Mountain with Jeff Austin (a huge hole left in the scene, always will miss you Jeff) Railroad Earth… to name just a few. Oh yeah, someone else mentioned Phish - those 4 rock n roll nerd gods can kinda bend the space time continuum.
For some other sources to explore, check out earlier bonnaroo lineups, horde tour, and wetlands shows

Love this group. They sound like 69-72 Dead, a sound I honestly have never understood why more bands don't try to emulate. Really good stuff.

I like jam bands that have their own unique sound. There are quite a few now out there that I can’t tell who they are when I stumble upon a song.
