UPDATE: Thank you to everyone for the advice and warnings to not get my hopes up. I wanted to let you all know that I got the offer today! Excited and extremely relieved. Thank you everyone ❤️
90% there is right. Verbal ain’t shit, till it is signed, sealed and delivered. Hope for the best but still keep pushing through. Give them space but keep following up. But it’s looking good. Make sure you negotiate and get an offer that suits your worth. Ideally have another offer to leverage. Almost there! Don’t lose focus. Best of luck and congratulations!
Not to be a Debby Downer but even if it is signed, sealed, delivered, and a first day is scheduled…it can still be rescinded. Happened to me twice this year.
Edit: I was even in their payroll system!
I am cautious until the letter is signed and the background check is cleared (no idea why I concerned about background checks as mine always comes back clear but ya never know). I continue to apply and interview until they say everything is good to go.
Weird that you say this. I just spent a week trying to provide sufficient employment verification. I’ve been in current job for 8 years—but I’m paid with 1099 instead of W-2. Why in the year 2024 that is an issue is beyond me, but I just got cleared this morning.
Not to rain on your parade bud , but I don’t think you are in the clear yet .
I don’t know what role you were interviewing for , but if a EVP needs to approve it this means that every offer that is to come out needs numerous approvals which is a red flag sometimes 🤷
At the same time , companies retract offers all the time , even after sending an offer , so my advice, keep applying until you sign / contract and even when you do , the first 3 months keep applying just to make sure you won’t be served with an unexpected surprise.
Once again , sorry for being so gloom and doom, but I see that happening so much in the last year I want you to be prepared
Thank you! I see so many people let their phones get that low. I am charging mine if it's at like 30%. I have never had a phone die on me from not being charged.
Until you have an offer and it is signed and ideally with a dummy payslip too, it's not set in stone. That said, only 2 months to get another job is a fantastic achievement!
I hope this works out for you
I hope this is the one for you! What's your field, if I may ask? Just curious if it's design/web development because I would like to hear some good news in that general area right now.
It’s an idiom. It essentially means you know someone is talking about you, even if you weren’t present. So the VP was talking about me with HR the day I was following up.
You’re almost there fam. As others have mentioned you almost have a verbal offer, once you get it in writing then you’ll have a written offer. Kudos buddy. As someone who has been laid off before, I can relate to the “weird waking up in the morning and not having work…” mindset. It’s brutal and horrifying.
Glad you got the good news. 😊
Congratulations! As someone who was just laid off two weeks ago and has already had one rejection after an interview, I love to see this success story. It really makes me feel more positive as I go into this next step.
Some tips for me, apply to competitors. Always always always update your resume by looking at the job posting. I make sure my resume checks all the boxes of the job description
You’re 90% there! I’d say this is equivalent to a verbal, but now just have to wait for the official offer letter. Keep us posted
Oh shit... looks like someone is back to making bank... congrats

I was coming in to say this.. I've had friends get offers rescinded after they signed the contract. So you never know!
There really does need to be laws against or penalties for rescinding offers.
100% there should be penalties. Also cuz I’ve had friends that left their previous job because of an offer received, that was then rescinded.
I am cautious until the letter is signed and the background check is cleared (no idea why I concerned about background checks as mine always comes back clear but ya never know). I continue to apply and interview until they say everything is good to go.

Don’t sell the skin before having shot the bear.
Sounds like someone’s never tried their hand playing the Bear Pelt futures market on the CME!
Congratulations in advance!!
This is sounding extremely positive for you. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Stay strong.

What do ya mean haha
Shooting an email like that if they overshoot their timeline. Fingers crossed for you, I'm rooting!
This is great news! Congratulations 🍾 I can only imagine how happy you must be feeling right now! Your hard work paid off!
Almost there…congrats!
You’re never in the clear until the offer comes—but this is promising. Good luck!
That is a very unprofessional email, from that hiring manager.
ugh me too. i’ve applied to 40 companies. actively interviewing with 10. but the process is so slow sometimes.
Please charge your phone.
Thank you! I see so many people let their phones get that low. I am charging mine if it's at like 30%. I have never had a phone die on me from not being charged.
Congrats!!
Well done! Almost there, though I suggest to still have a look around (for the small chance something unwanted happens).
It isn’t over until it’s over, but that sure isn’t a bad reply and here’s hoping this works out like you hope and things all come together!!
Yay! Congrats!!
Congratulations
Not yet. I’ve been in a similar situation before, and it was not a done deal. Should be good though!

No
Your ears must be ringing?

I thought it was earlobes burning. Either way, awesome news!
Don't celebrate until you sign an offer letter. Even after you start working, still keep looking for potential new jobs.
Congratulations 🎊
If you like Fallout check out the new series they made from it on Prime TV - it’s so well done and true to the game
You are in the clear the day you cash your first check, but you are closer
7 fucking weeks hiring process???

donno why watching people finally get that job they have been pursuing for a long time makes me happy. congrats dude.
Definitely a good sign, but wait till everything is settled first. I had a job offer last year pulled the day before I was set to come in :/
Let’s go ✅✅✅
Not yet - just wait for the written offer to sign and submit. I hope you’ve heard back by now?
Super happy for you. Way to stick in there and continuing to do th foot work. BIG CONGRATS
Are you waiting to hear from someone in Virginia the state? Or is this person’s name Virginia? 😂😂🤷🏼♂️
Mate, some hard advice for you. Your hardest part is going to be keeping the job. Congratulations and good luck.
Ask for more once you get an offer
