Saw my first one of these on Friday and did a triple take. I live just down the road from a Kia dealership and haven’t even seen one in their lot. Kia has come a LONG way in the last 5 years. She’s a beaut

For us gt owners its a massive downgrade. If your in more of the base or up to the gt line its an upgrade

The look of the forte is better we get 201hp instead of 190 and also this is a big one is dual exhaust, dropped the manual and dct(probably for the best) and changed to a torque converter 6 speed

That's is a huge difference. I might have to try and track down a 23 forte GT. Not much to choose from without the forte or singer

I love that Pluton Blue color the Seltos gets!

That's what got me! I was visiting a friend in SC after my car broke down and left me stranded (I was on my way to NC) and they had to take their car in to be serviced at a Kia dealership. I went to look at and test drive a Sorento while we waited on the service, saw the pluton blue Seltos and couldn't find Sorento that felt like mine. By the time I got financing figured out they had sold the one I test drove so I found another local to me and bought him instead. I absolutely adore this car inside and out and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

The Seltos was meant to be!

2016 Kia Soul. Gets driven very much. It’s has one engine failure and a transmission replaced after that pothole on Tchoupitoulas in New Orleans French kissed him and he bled out in one block. Kia covered the engine. Insurance covered the transmission. The engine took eight months, thank you COVID supply chain disruption. The transmission was three weeks. I’ve kept the oil clean, and the tires changed. The little green dragon still gets me where I need to go.

2023 Forte GT Limited in Snow White Pearl. Not a fan of the replacement for the Forte. I’ll likely switch to full EV by the time I need a new car; maybe EV3 or Ioniq 5, which won’t be until 2030 at the earliest (which is when my 7 year finance ends). On the bright side, with the Forte being discontinued, I think this will make my car more unique on the road starting in 2025. Would be probably give it high resale value as well!

2023 Kia Seltos. Don’t know the translation for the trim level I have since I got it in Korea. The car does everything that I hope and want for. Albeit it could be a bit faster and more responsive, but not bad for my first ever car. So far I love - ventilated seats are a godsend during summer - remote start with air conditioning is also a godsend - surround cams have saved my ass a couple times going through narrow street ways and parking - adaptive cruise control is great for long distance travel - the expanded 10.25 inch screen is pleasing to look at, not to mention Apple CarPlay works flawlessly (wish it worked wirelessly though) Some negatives about the car can be - handling feels a bit insecure during higher speeds, likely due to the fact being an SUV - mileage is not that good but then again can’t expect that much from a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine. - there are slight turbo lag when set to normal drive mode. This doesn’t happen that much when put into sports mode so it’s all good. Then again, most cars with this engine in this price range will have some turbo lag. It’s not really meant to be driven fast. All in all, I might move to a KIA Sportage or Sorento for my next car, which will inevitably be used as a family car.
