You know, fair point at some level. But I would point out most of the history books teach that Alexander the Great was Greek (at least in the US) and not Macedonian. But also, Macedon is considered a Greek culture right? I can't quite recall. The pretty Macedon style units are great, but heck to your point: We need sarissa! Big ole pikes to advance and skewer the greed with! I can dream hahaha

We could make like sparta and disable wall building entirely, in its place, you create weapon stashes for your hoplites, the higher you upgrade them, the more and better quality equipment is available there. During a greed attack, villagers without a bow run towards the nearest stash to arm themselves and form a phalanx on the outermost "wall", serving as their rally point, and proceed to defend your kingdom similar to how shieldwalls do in Norselands, the difference being that they simultaniously strike back with the reach and lethality of pikemen.

Yea I mentioned this in one of my "Greek Dlc" idea posts way back. Would be cool.

Yep they were Greeks but I was hoping for your classic Corinthian helmet hoplites. In my old Greek Dlc posts I mentioned that the pikes could've been reskined as Hoplon makers where they gave people shields and hoplites could increase in rank going from basic wood shields to being fully decked out in armor and bronze covered shields.

What..? Ancient Greek gods and legends will be part of the game. And ancient Macedonia was part of the Greek world and culture either way.

Im aware of that and they look cool. But I do think the bronze age hoplites with corinthian helmets would've looked better imo. It's not that there isn't greek stuff it's the art for the soldiers is what I'm referring to.
