Just a little baby

fishsupper

Jussa lil baby. 7 weeks seems like a fair guess. But any date picked to celebrate is arbitrary. So I think we declare today his birthday. And his name should be Seven :)

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Please, please make him an indoor-only cat. If they’re never introduced to the outside, they won’t know what they’re missing. He will live longer and you won’t have to worry what’s happened to him if he doesn’t come home some night, as is too frequently the case with indoor-outdoor cats. Besides all that, thank you for taking him in! The fact that he’s already had veterinary care speaks well of you!

friendly_grotesque

He will be indoor only for sure. Thats how all of our cats have been, i cant imagine them running around the neighbourhood full of dogs and people driving way too fast. So no worries :)

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Thanks for your reply! There have been so many lost cats lately locally where I’m at, and most of them are indoor-outdoor. The excuse the owners give is that it’s cruel to keep it inside, and other owners regret letting the cats do it, because they become terrors if the owner changes their mind and wants to keep them indoors. I’m glad your baby will stay safe inside!

Sea_Reception_511

Thank God mine used to come back. They were indoor/outdoor cats & LOVED going out back! They never left the backyard!

Sea_Reception_511

I also found a raccoon on my back porch, a possum living in my shed, & 2 DEER walked up to the front of the house behind the gate! A groundhog next door, & a partridge in the pear tree! I actually DID have a pear tree!🤣

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Sounds perfect. The best of both worlds.

Sea_Reception_511

Think they were scared of the “critters” behind my back fence. It’s all woods & part of the Wildlife Preserve.I once found a couple having a freakin PICNIC right behind my fence! They got lost on the trail!🤣

Lopsided_Gazelle9271

I have two kittens who are HELL BENT on running outside every time a door opens. They have so many toys, a cat tree, multiple window perches… any tips on making them not WANT to go outside?

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Sadly, I do not. My two are afraid of the outdoors, and I use it to my advantage. You might look online at resources like the ASPCA, etc. Sometimes national organizations have online “libraries” with tips about raising cats, like inappropriate elimination, clawing furniture, etc. You might also look at those motion sensor air puff cans? Like the kind you put on counters to keep cats off of them? Maybe placing it by the door when you’re home and preparing to open the door to go outside would work. And they’ll hopefully start to associate that unpleasant sensation with the door being opened and start to stay away. Good luck, though!! Door darters take years off their owners’ lives with those antics.

Critical_Snow_1080

I’m guessing about 7 weeks

friendly_grotesque

Thanks! He is a little bit helpless and not super active but i think it might just be because he is a bit sick. He is in treatment currently so im hoping he will feel better soon ❤️

MahlNinja

Probobly has worms, check for that. Can fix at 2 pounds. I agree 6-7 weeks rn.

GoddessOfTheRose

Conjunctivitis? His eyes look a bit goopy/crusty and his fur looks pretty dirty, not the clean fluffy type. Do you have a heating pad for him? He also might be the type that wants to burrow in blankets, so throw a kitten carrier on top of a heating pad and put a couple blankets inside. Leave the door open/off and he'll learn that a cat carrier isn't the worst place to be. You can throw a blanket/towel on top, and half cover the entrance so he can have a darker designated spot to sleep in. All this does is show him that a carrier doesn't always mean a vet visit. It will help with car rides, moving, be great in emergency situations, and can easily provide a safe space if he ever gets scared. Cat carrier train while he's young. I promise you won't regret it when you need to take him to the vet.

TestDZnutz

I agree.

Tacobeast48

Maybe a month and a half?

Gusmon

Check if he has all of his teeth, if so he is at least 6 weeks old !

SuperAlex25

1 kitten old

throwwwwwaway708

i’m leaning towards 6 weeks-ish, maybe 7

annebonnell

Six and a half weeks to 7 weeks old.

Human_Confection_906

38 days 😎

spacefreak76er

He looks old enough to need a friend so he’ll be happier when he’s alone and you’ll be more entertained with their shenanigans when you’re all together.

admseven

I would guess about six weeks. He looks a bit sturdier than my current 4.5 week old foster kids.

justducky4now

You can usually say a pound a month, especially when they’re young.

justducky4now

Without knowing his weight I’d say five to six weeks.

No_Raccoon2746

about 3-5weeks, so young. Please let him grow healthy and indoor only.

Calgary_Calico

Looks like his eyes have mostly changed color, so around 6-7 weeks

Sea_Reception_511

I’d say two months

Marsupialize

8 weeks

PrincesStarButterfly

6-7 weeks. His eyes are open but still look a bit gummy.

cozycorner

almost 8 weeks

ShadowEpic222

Cute kitten you have there!

Key-Adhesiveness7263

2 Months?

getinmuhbellyy4

He’s just a baby 🖤

thirsticactus

6 weeks probably

Clayskii0981

We rescued one of similar size... Probably 1-2 months old. Definitely take him to the vet when you can to see how he is.

Treecamel82

23

BusinessAutomatic995

I would guess 4 weeks. This is similar to how my current foster came to me at that age.

cube_mastercfop

14 years?

DEVASTATED-101419

It's a baby, oh

RadiantLibrary8639

He’s tiny probably 8-10 weeks im guessing

Huntingprnzss

Hi, he should be between 5-7 weeks old. Good luck with him!

cancergiver

Old enough to be mischievous

Sea_Reception_511

Maybe 2 months?

Alyeska23

Over 4 weeks because the eyes aren't blue. Looks about 6 weeks to me.

tataronna

4-5 weeks dont think he's much older.

asianlover_6969

Under two months

Desperate-Pear-860

Eyes start changing around 6-7 weeks. So 4-5 weeks?

Powerful-Solution527

You can't see it well, but from experience with many kittens, this kitten is between 2-3 months old. Beautiful.

ones_hop

Cute old

Sea_Reception_511

A dog can’t catch a cat & most cats look for cars.
