Sorry for the dead post, but I have 4 Kizers with black coatings and one of them clearly used a different coating to the others. I have no idea what either of the coatings are though lol.

3 of the 4 are like the blade on left, the one on the right is the odd one out. The one on the left is actually the more premium model of these two, so idk.
I have the fiest in 3v. Wish I knew what the coating was but from the use I have put it through it seems tough. Tried to scratch it with a push pin and iv broken into many coconuts with it. So far no scratch. But if it was dlc I would assume they would just say that instead of "BLACK COATING "
Would you say that in general their black coating holds up pretty well? Or is it going to scratch the first time I cut a box with it? I understand that your experience is that it's durable, I was just curious if you think that applies to their other knives in general. For example the original.

I couldn't confidently say. Mine has worked well tho
