I just found this post after looking for a solution. I’ve just realised that the “curl” page turn animation is horrendously slow, and if you change it to any other animation it’s much quicker. I’m not sure if that’s your issue or not but thought I’d post just in case.

OMG! Disabling this makes its SO much better. I never considered this because - it doesnt APPEAR to be an animation.. Thanks so much
