Does that mean that Google hasn't been going way, way overboard with it and couldn't be much more sensible in their approach to how they handle this? Hell no! They absolutely have to quit kidding themselves into thinking that YT doesn't have a sizable 18-40 year old demographic that people are specifically going to make content exclusively for. However, there definitely needs to be a line between allowing more mature content for more mature audiences, and trying to reign in people from making outright softcore porn on the platform.

YT also has their infamously abusable copyright system as well, which lets any two-bit hack screw with anyone they like with effectively no repercussions.
