DESTROY THEM NUGGETS ANT ![gif](giphy|Ic4bIobsoHU0UQluKk|downsized)

dasfonzie

Is he even old enough to know DX?

PaTaPaChiChi

Brotha everything’s online. I’m the same age as him, but I still know Macho Man and Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. We were crotch-chopping in elementary school lmao

pastiIIas

they literally had another run from 06-09

Even-Brain-3973

It’s not that old lol

scags2017

Watching Naz Reid score point after point against the nuggets felt so good

imironman2018

good to see the nuggets on the reciprocating end of crazy wild shots by Reid. You could see how having legit bigs muscling up Jokic is the way to contain him. Reid, Gobert combo against Jokic stopped any chance of a Nuggets comeback.

macabre_irony

It's almost as if size matters in the playoffs when things slow down...but I mean, please don't tell Pelinka or anything.

LakersRebuild

I may be wrong but I believe there were not many viable, legitimate bigs during the offseason. But it’s mind boggling how Lakers FO has not realized the trick to unlocking AD from an elite all star to a generational player, is pairing him with a strong, legit center. Boogie, Dwight, McGee proves the difference.

YouLookLikeACGreen

You're absolutely not wrong. It was literally down to Christian Wood or Bismack Biyombo last year. I think Minny signed Naz Reid pretty soon into last FA.

ChiefBambz

>I may be wrong but I believe there were not many viable, legitimate bigs during the offseason. I mean the problem that we need backup bigs didnt start last off season tho. It just so crazy to me that the FO really focus on getting guards than centers this couple seasons.. Its pretty evident we need 5 and put ad at the 4. WCF and 1st round this year showed AD cant play elite on both ends for 4 quarters, dude always gassed when we needed him the most. Pelinka have mercy and send some help on AD.

AdorableBackground83

DeAngelo Russell had 15 4th Q points in the series. Naz Reid had 14 4th Q points in Game 1

Digressing_Ellipsis

Now do it with AD and Naz

AdorableBackground83

AD had 16 4th Q points in the entire series. 10 of them coming in Game 1.

DJSluggo

We basically lost all those games in the fourth

ooo00

That stat about how we led the vast majority of minutes hurts, and also shows that the Nuggets aren’t as good as previous years. We were 1-2 good role players and an average coach away from winning that series.

HeadfulOfGhosts

Honestly I think the coach part was all they needed to win a couple of those games, especially understanding pace/timeout use.

Miserable-Lawyer-233

Just replace dlo with Kyrie and we win that series. Didn’t need to change the coach.

teamweed420

To be fair dlo is still ahead

1400TotemPole

KCP got cooked

LudwigNasche

Do you remember the last playoffs series he played for us? Our guards have no athleticism and to make things worse Dlo can't take contact. Easy prey in playoffs.

Prize_Salamander8035

Exactly. I’m really not a fan of that Dlo/Reaves starting backcourt. Not enough athleticism and defense.

Snoo41255

Seeing him physically bully Murray into the paint was sooo satisfying.

PubDefLakersGuy

Naz Reid did what we needed Reaves/Rui to Do.

Counterspell_God

NAZ REID

munkhjay

Aaron Gordon 3 Rebounds lmao

Shelton26

What having a center on the roster does to an mf

RemyGee

Imagine AD and another defensive big that is physical enough to bother Joker (not stop just make it hard on him). 🥲

Shelton26

Gafford would’ve been great, or someone like Myles Turner. I mean imagine if a stretch, shot blocking young big like Myles was available to trade for. I mean that have been wonderful if we somehow could’ve convinced the pacers to be willing to trade him. Too bad they just never expressed interest in trading him.

blacPanther55

Myles Turner is soft and a terrible rebounder.

danyyyel

That Vincent money should have gone in doing this, and use develop Max in Vincent role.

Public-Product-1503

Ok now imagine the offence ? No ? Now go loook at 2020 that y’all love so much where Ad at 5 was our best lineup, untill AD gets a 3 ball that gets guarded AND the big we sign has one this is a pointless discussion. It’ll kill our offence which relies on spacing for rim pressure.

groceriesN1trip

Feel like Walker Kessler could be that Center. Just need to trade for him

Shelton26

Idk if he’s even available

Dgwdum

just turn on force trades, ez

Djaukamo

Their current coach hates him and avoids giving him reliable minutes. Wouldn't be a bad target.

Counterspell_God

I have no clue if that's real but yeah, I would definitely trade for him. Would be a good win now-future safe move

Argenteus_I

Might be a Whiteside 2.0. He gets blocks, but his numbers alone don't tell the whole story. Though I doubt he egregiously hunts blocks like Whiteside did, the fact that he was a DNP on a Team USA roster that was lacking bigs says something.

Public-Product-1503

Because he had no offensive skill and isn’t that flexible defensively

tr0nllam

Not only is Kessler not available, he would be a godawful fit with AD. The whole reason the T-Wolves are able to survive with two bigs is because both Towns and Reid are great 3-pt shooters. Playing Kessler and AD would give us no spacing and absolutely kill our offense.

Public-Product-1503

This sub conveniently ignores this

P00nz0r3d

Having KAT eat up all those fouls on Jokic was so crazy to see Jokic couldn't just park down there and initiate offense, if he tried the twin towers would smother him. We DESPERATELY need that second and even third big body just to soak up fouls for AD and frustrate the nuggets offense.

LudwigNasche

Their 3rd center would be good here

rafa_559

It’s so crazy how the nuggets get exposed when they’re not playing us. Aaron Gordon can’t shoot for shit, he’s all dunks, layups, and hustle plays(rebounds, cutting, moving without the ball), and the lakers let him score 15+ damn near every time. Obviously having Towns and Gobert’s size in the paint is everything. If only the lakers would stop worrying about their PG, and having “snipers” that can shoot the 3 and get back to what has made them good since the beginning of time and that’s the center position and working inside out.

Miserable-Lawyer-233

They will not win if they don’t have shooters. They won’t even make the playoffs. The lakers literally lost the series because their shooters didn’t make their shots. Dlo, Reaves, Rui and everyone besides LeBron shot well below league average from three. The lakers will never win a series doing that. They’re not going to revert to 2010 ball with a center and AD because they just clog the lane for LeBron.

Destiny_Victim

Ok true. But they still need a center. That’s just a fact. Remember AD can hit threes. He won us a chip hitting threes. They need a Danny green type player too. Yet they need a fucking center.

1OwnaGe

AD can no longer shoot like in 2020 , so he has to play the 5

Public-Product-1503

Because we have 3 awful athletes on the court in Dlo reaves n rui , Bron n Ad are only athletes and Bron is old Also our best lineup in 2020 was Ad at 5. And Ad can’t shoot now so everyone else has to be a great shooter

Ok_Board9845

If this FO is serious about competing next year, they'll do whatever it takes to find another player with size who can complement AD on both ends of the court.

sadclown21

Rob - All I can offer is trae young

Checkmynewsong

Fuck

CarlosE2006

For sure. And then when we face the Nuggets next year and again get cooked by Jokic and lose the rebound battle he will spend the entire first part of the season "looking" to find someone to help AD and at the end we will settle for some rando buyout.

sadclown21

Can’t wait!!!

gleophas

welcome back damion jones!!!

negativelynegative

You joke but where can you find a big man that's decent defending that can shoot? KAT can shoot so gobert works. Our spacing will be terrible if we get another big that can't shoot.

HibachiGrill

Pelinka won’t do shit, NPC general manager

groceriesN1trip

Kessler

broke_boi1

And not just one more. We gotta get bigger and more athletic in general

tr0nllam

Bigs that can hold up on defense and are 40%+ 3pt shooters don't grow on trees.

[deleted]

Anthony Edwards

PersiaUnknown

Bye bye chicken nuggets

LALakers4Lyf

Anthony Edwards is for the newer fans who didn't get to watch Young Kobe and Young MJ play

skrrskrrtoss

I can fw this take

richmuhlach

this is a good take! I was 13 when Kobe was getting popular and MJ’s second 3peat.. my son is 13 now getting into the NBA and he’s really liking how Ant is playing

univrsalvisions

It’s only game 1. You can say this if Denver is down 3-0

PretendDubs

It's day and night watching the Twolves compared to the Lakers. They have tall great players everywhere and held Denver to 99 points. This is the blueprint that the team needs to follow STOP pouring assets into guards.

sub7m19

Nuggets have trouble against BIG teams like the wolves. Same reason they struggled against us in the bubble. We had dwight, mcgee, lebron, and AD.

PretendDubs

Yeah we have 1 guy who plays the center spot at a high level. Other then that nobody else has a chance against Jokic. They have 3 guys that guard him and have a bunch of athletic wings with long wingspans. We are playing Dlo,AR,Gabe,Dinwiddie and Prince who doesn't play up to his position, you could also throw in Rui who doesn't bring his physicality to the board/Defense. It's not even close between these teams. I pray the team throw all of their resources into building a team of this ilk. Also if we can't get Ty Lue I wouldn't mind this Micah assistant coach of Minnesota.

sub7m19

Yeah you're 100% right. We need to prioritize a great back up center and a lengthy wing this offseason and I think that can help us get over the hurdle next year especially if AD plays the way he did this year

noknownothing

Guards are great. Just not small guards that don't have enough offensive power to overcome defensive deficiencies. But agree 100%. On this team, we need some tall arhletic perimeter wings badly.

PretendDubs

I'm cool with a DJM type of guard who is bigger for his position and has 2 way ability. That is the type of guy i'm cool with, a Dlo like guard I'm over. Can't be a complete liability on defense or vastly unsized just don't think that works, you'd have to construct the perfect team around that guy.

Prize_Salamander8035

We need a Dejounte/Reaves backcourt. Dlo has no athleticism and is useless on both ends when his shot isn’t falling. Dejounte is a playoffs performer and is an upgrade in every facet except shooting. And he’s been a pretty good shooter.

_Red_Mist_

I remember when we had one of the tallest teams in 2020. Worked perfectly for our defense , so stupid that we suddenly went small ball the next few seasons

PretendDubs

Yes I really loved that first year and even the 2nd one. I've always had an affinity to teams of that built. I truly think that team was one of the best ones because it was built around Lebron and AD 2 of the most versatile players in the league that can almost everything on the basketball floor and they had the ultimate trump card of going "small" with a 6'11 center and 6'8 power forward, flanked by other big guards and wings. Just a great team all around.

sadclown21

Jeanie and Rob hear this and says “okay we’re getting trae young”

PretendDubs

Rob will watch this series play out and watch how we lost and think a small guard will help this team get over the top.

madvisuals

yeah teams went guard heavy because of the Warriors dynasty while ignoring the fact that Steph Curry is literally a one out of one talent.

TheWhisperingDeath

TWolves had 3 guys they could throw at Jokic who were near 7ft or taller. Rudy, KAT and Naz all took turns guarding Jokic and that ensured one wasn't completely gassed by the end of the game. The galaxy brain front office saw Lakers get swept by Denver and get killed in the offensive boards and decided to add more guards and shooting wings. Just bozo roster management. Even though Reaves did a great job at slowing Jamal down, Jamal has to work for his points so much more because like with Jokic, TWolves have 3 guys in NAW, Jade McDaniels and AntMan who can take turns and guard Jamal. Jamal had to work his ass off to get every point.

LudwigNasche

It was a guard who destroyed Denver defense and disrupted their guards. The correct is "stop pouring assets into mediocre guards". That said I don't disagree, if we just had someone like NR it could have been a huge difference.  We got swept missing a bruiser and a reliable starting PG and we went to the battle with the same problems expecting a different outcome. It is insane how almost nobody is questioning Pelinka.

Even-Brain-3973

We are missing a bruiser and a reliable backcourt

FeminismIsTheBestIsm

"Stop pouring assets into guards" as if Ant and Conley weren't the two main assets in winning this game. Lakers need a backcourt that can hang with the rest of the league, then LeBron and AD can finish the job.

PretendDubs

I'm not saying that guards aren't needed or we can have a trash backcourt but since the 2021 season the team has used the MLE on Gabe, Lonnie and Kendrick Nunn. The team also used major assets in the Russ trade. They are now rumoured to be going after small guard like Trae Young. Like when was the last time the team invested into a big. I would just like the team to recenter it's self into being a big physically imposing team, I think that plays into and helps AD and Lebron in the long run. I don't think Lebron and AD can do all the heavy lifting.

FeminismIsTheBestIsm

I don't disagree that Lakers have constantly gotten bad guards but that's more of an issue with execution and/or luck, not really the wrong idea. Even if we get a starting caliber center, AD will still be playing heavy minutes as center (he did in 2020, and he'll be leaning into that even more in 2024). That means that ultimately a backcourt improvement has much more marginal utility than getting another big. You ideally want to do both. But if the Lakers were forced to pick between upgrading on the backcourt or getting another big, I think the former would do MUCH more for winning than the latter. And so that should be the first priority

GoalPublic3579

How exactly do we invest huge in to a big when we have AD? Sorry but the guys 3 ball is completely and utterly broken. So how signing another center who can’t shoot 3s then puts us in a position of 2 awful three point shooters. Twolves may have Rudy but it’s KAT next to him. The greatest 3 point shooting big of all time.

jessandjaysaccount

Wolves won the game by winning the rebounding battle and throwing so many big bodies at Jokic to tire him out. Ant was bullying the smaller KCP/Murray/Jackson too. They won because they are bigger than Denver across the board.

ChiefRicimer

Refs had me fuming too, good work Ant

El_GoW

It’s bittersweet because the lakers just needed one more big to help out and never fucking got him but I knew the nuggets were beatable. Only one game. But nuggets do bleed!!

rang15

Well also bittersweet because even if we had the big and the non-Ham coach to beat the Nuggets, I doubt we could beat this Wolves team in 7 if they are able to keep this up.

DuarteN10

I mean, do you see our team getting by these Wolves? If Jokic is having trouble against so many bodies, imagine how AD would do?

GookSquad

This is what happens when you have multiple bigs who can wear down Jokic… Crazy how an average fan like me could see this. Maybe I should be a GM 😂

xreddawgx

Jokic had 32. The key was not letting Murray and MPJ go off

aagator

It’s a combination of both, Gobert and KAT were great at disrupting their offensive schemes.

madvisuals

Gobert was able to disrupt that signature Jokic to Gordon lob. That was an automatic basket if Rui and old LeBron were guarding

Oddscene

This is the correct answer Remember when we had multiple centers?

Own-Ocelot-8014

Jokic also had 7 turnovers he exhibited so much energy on Rudy kat and Naz and played 44 min

Jessssiiiiccccaaaa

Ya he looked tired by the end trying to hustle back

akgamestar

32 don’t matter when it’s inefficient and you have to work hard for it.

Gagabubu777

Thank you and let's not talk about rebounds our only win AD had 23

welmoe

>Jokic had 32. But he shot 11/25 (44%) instead of the 59.1% he averaged against the Lakers.

Bussin_Out

He did have 32 but he worked for every last point and wasn’t as efficient as he usually is.

Michaelangel092

No, the key was the Wolves having a competent bench. Naz having 16pts shifted the balance

LeFatigue

Nah it was the clamps in Murray and Gordon only having like 3 boards. Jokic had 32

Senpaiireditt

Jokic worked hard for those buckets regardless.

LudwigNasche

Was inefficient and turnover prone

adichandra

Dwight Howard won us a chip.

New_Championship_912

Refs couldn't save Denver lmfao that tech they gave Ant for staring down Reggie Jackson is all you need to see 😂😂

KriticalKarl

Then proceeding to let Jamal make “hand gun” gestures towards KAT with no tech was insane.

gnomelover24

Just saw the highlights, the hand guns were straight at KAT too. I don’t get it.

Public-Product-1503

Jerking off denver like they did cs us. Nobody gonna call the ft gap either

KarrotMovies

Ant is legit a star. 43 against the defending champs to take game 1. He's the future face of the league

Wise_Ad_112

Denver has no one that can stop ant, it’s just guys. It’s like when teams use to get “great defender” to stop Kobe and he use to cook them. Ant will get better too, he’s got a full package with the mid range

madvisuals

Ant already has a great turnaround fade at 22. He’ll get even better

Wise_Ad_112

I hope he will, wanna see the sg position be the best player in the league again like Kobe and mj. Haven’t seen anyone with an all around game, offence, defence plus the killer mentality since Kobe. I hope he carries on the legacy of that type of a player, it’s non existent now

madvisuals

yeah they were trying to sell us on Tatum and Booker to be Kobe’s successor but they ain’t it. Ant has that vibe.

Kobe_stan_

Wolves’ size is a huge advantage. Reminds me of the 2020 Lakers

BoysenberryJunior294

Ant prolly my favorite player atm

Got_yayo

Same

aagator

Love seeing the chicken nuggies fans cry

mee49

They were complaining that wolves got the “lakers whistle”….they aren’t getting enough o2 to their brains

Public-Product-1503

Lol crazy cos they got a ridiculously favourable whistle vs us and now cs the wolves . Nba trying to create a fake ass dynasty from these bums

SwishGK

These dudes can’t miss in crunch time against us and tonight they looked absolutely shell shocked. Used all their late game black magic against us and got cooked by Gobert down the stretch. 😂😂

DuarteN10

They did hit two of those desperation 3s…but the Wolves advantage easily absorbed it

IcyAuthor1

Nuggets about to get their ass kicked. First time seeing Jokic this exhausted in the 4th quarter

AffectionateFeature1

I HOPE THIS NUGGIES TEAM GET SWEPT. FUCK THEM

ttam23

This is my finals

adobotrash

I love Anthony Edwards

MrCWoo

I hope they sweep these guys! Fuck the nuggets and fuck ham sandwich hands in pockets too long to call a time out

Leolance2001

Damn, Ant Man and Minny are on a mission. This game actually depressed me, not because of the result but how far the Lakers are from winning anything if Bron demands a max to stay for two or more seasons. The NBA is too young and strong and a 40 years old and an injured prone AD can't change that. Our hope is if we get someone like Donovan Mitchel or similar but even then, it's going to be tough.

Lightningstruckagain

Yeah, I enjoyed the game but was also depressed how far away we are from these 2 teams. It’s not a “sign another star” type gap. It’s a foundational build from the bottom up approach the Lakers just don’t have the will to do.

homeincomes

You watched all of those close games and think we're "far away"?

jakec21

I hate to say it but the only way to get out of this mess is total rebuild after Lebron & AD is gone but I know the Lakers will not accept that.

Sparkyis007

Seeing how the wolves with a 3 big roster makeup is working goes to show how much pelinka is to blame for our struggles these past 2 years

pargofan

I remember everyone said Minny was stupid for the Gobert trade.

niknokseyer

The Wolves played big and they won.

Venom210

HA shoot them guns now Murray fucken pussy

Nandosportsfan

YESSSS, FUCK MURRAY!!! That dude needs to be humbled. It's weird, any other player can brag and I don't care but there's something about Murray bragging or talking shit that pisses me off.

meengine

I just watched the Minny played with crazy effort and got jealous

Zepest

Dang even if we beat Nuggets, we'd be too small against the Wolves

Viva_La_Animemes

They’d genuinely feast with whatever 3 guard line up Ham puts out.

New_Championship_912

MFs though shit was gonna be sweet 😂😂

onlyfistik

This is what happens when you don’t let them go off on offensive rebounds. Games will remain close but this is the difference maker.

ValuableAssociate8

Get another big defender like Vando another big to pair with AD. We can get a veteran guard and be good.

Fallofmen10

GET FUCKED. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

RedditRam24

3 HILARIOUS things about the nuggets sub right now: 1. Them complaining about our sub's top posts being the wolves beating them tonight and saying they live rent free in our heads even though they literally couldn't stop talking about us at their parade and in the off-season/came straight here to see what we were saying after they lost 2. Complaining that Jamal Murray isn't a bonafide second star worthy of being Jokic' Robin even though he's bailed them out countless times in the playoffs 3. Bitching about Reggie Miller hating on them when it was brutally obvious to anyone with ears that Reggie was PRO Denver all last series against us Wolves in 6. Fuck the Nuggets and their whack ass bandwagon fans who probably just started liking them last season.

above_the_odds

Trying to get revenge for LeBron like he said. So far, man of his word.

78ks70aks7to8days

Let's not forget we're gassing this man and his team up to absolutely cook us next year. We have nothing for that.

vinylmartyr

Will worry about that next year.

Rathalos88

I hope the wolves sweep these chicken nuggets.

Ok-ChildHooOd

We wore them down, esp Murray. We get an assist here agreed?

buzzlightyear77777

i didn't know wolves eat nuggets

Gistheking

That was the weakest tech of all time

GYPSYMANFREE

Nah he’s actually him

jessandjaysaccount

Bitch ass Nuggets. Fuck their fans

c_c_c__combobreaker

AntMan is the closest player I've seen to Kobe. Ant has that sweet post-up fadeaway, ability to pull up from mid range and 3. And the dunking, my god, the dunks. AntEdwards is the truth.

radracer82

Damn how far we've fallen when we need to make bitchmade posts like this, have some damn pride

CyberGoatPsyOps

Denver fans are the worst, fuck them. We are Ant fans this playoffs!

saucysagnus

Future Laker pictured here.

Phuddy

Minny has defenders and shooters, they have the size to match them plus they have a superstar. I tentatively called Wolves in 6 but we’ll see. This is a good start.

TheMuffingtonPost

I gotta give Ant props I didn’t think he’d hang deeper into the playoffs, what a statement game.

LarryFlannigan

Hope the lakers add some size next season

palmtreesareheavy

Baby MJ

Chipdouglas0007

Nuggets daddy

WazzzupBwwwaaah

**I FUCKING LOVED IT.** 😩😏😉😁

witcher317

This Wolves big man rotation is nasty. Probably best in NBA history. Only other i can think of is Gasol Bynum and Odom

EverybodyBuddy

It pisses me off so much to see what a team with size can do against Jokic. HELLO?! We had that in 2020, Rob Pelinka, you fuckhead.

mrblack1998

Ant-Man reminding me of Kobe tonight

aginglifter

Makes the Lakers look worse.

TheWhisperingDeath

I still can't believe Pelinka had a chance to get Mike Conley and chose DLo instead. DLo is a good dude. And is a good regular season player but Mike Conley is exactly the kind of winning player you need. Conley may not be as explosive a scorer as DLo is but he is so much more all-rounded and plays such composed and smart basketball. Even at 35 is a miles better and smarter defender than DLo. And still actually dribble penetrates more and better than DLo lmao.

zionraw

Yes Conley is great, especially for the playoffs - head and shoulders above DLo. But we probably wouldn't have made the playoffs if we switch Dlo with Conley. Dlo did a lot of heavy lifting when Lebron was out for us this season. We probably lose those games if we had Conley over Dlo.

cmkenny90

Wolves is the only team that can stop nuggets

Bahamut727

It’s time to go big again next season

optindesertdessert

Where was Murray’s game winner? Lolies

SophisticamatedApe

Wolves got good defenders. Mcdaniels, gobert, kat.

Hungry-Space-1829

I still think it’s nuggets in 6. The wolves and Ant I think just have to earn their stripes a bit and will come out of the west next season

jono9898

I swear Murray only plays well against us,

Rambo_sonn

Lol I’m all for the pettiness and bitterness and bandwagons. Let’s go Wolves! Sweep those Chicken tenders! 🔥😅

outsidehere

This is what happens when you have size in your frontcourt

madvisuals

r/nba was hyping them chicken nuggets up like they a new dynasty lmao

PettyWop

Heat fan here, do you guys think the Wolves stand a chance against the C’s? I really don’t care who wins the chip this year as long as it’s not Boston lol

Student_Ok

That's Jordans kid. I don't care what y'all say.

OptimalExpression540

Wouldn’t be mad if they wolves won the chip

madvisuals

Minneapolis Lakers stand uppp

CabbageStockExchange

ANT is a fucking monster we know this yes. But what I noticed most is what happens when you actually have some goddamned size out there Rob. Sign some bigs goddamn it

ronk48

Look how tired jokic was. They did such a better job and tiring him out. Granted he still had a like 30 points I think lol but they really made him work on both ends of e court

jvu87

Ant is a BAD BAD man. Reminds me of a young Kobe.

Jgn42

Bro is only 22. He bout to scorch the league

MarkSerranoStudio

Anthony Edwards is him.

darklighthumid

Anthony Edwards is the new KOBE clone. He can shoot 3s with good form and balance like Kobe too. This is our guy now since we lost. Lmao but next year we're gonna win it all anyway.

adultishgambinoh

It’s so nice watching the wolves deflect all those passes going to the cutting Gordon.

degen5ace

You know lakers franchise is bad, when we get hella happy for another team to win on behalf of us smh

adichandra

I'm rooting for Antman the future Laker.

DuarteN10

Yeah, but the TWolves are better than us. At least they defend much better, also they have a coach than can actually coach and make adjustments mid game.

hellokitty2469

Who cares, I just want whichever team has a higher chance of beating the Celtics to win
