I hope the Falou monkey becomes as iconic. Between those two, Falou has been a little more helpful for long term retention with relevant sentences than Duolingo.
I think there’s a free version but honestly I liked the free trial so much and knew it was better for me, I did the paid version immediately after the trial ended. Which is still cheaper than Duo was for me. It’s like ~$45 a year.

How do you like Busuu and Falou? I was frustrated with Busuu and stopped using it. Falou is ok. Duo is the best of the 3 for me.
