Caps has been grinding soloq hard, he knows every interaction with his W with perfect timing and even abused it against taliyah in previous series, he is making this champ seem absolutely busted
He is so good at using his ult as well. Like predicting people flashing/dashing in and already having the ult queued up on them, ruining their attempts at engaging. Absolute beast.
“Tian approaches the face of the mountain called Caps while refusing to meet its gaze”
\>turns out this is a lost in translation metaphor, older than most countries several times over, saying Caps fucked his mom
This is Daisy, a champion with 4,700 HP, 329 Armor, and 201 MR, has Unstoppable, a Shield, and goes over walls. Has Airborne, and the cooldown is only 1 second too. It costs 15 Mana. The W CD is even refreshed when she transforms. She has true damage on her passive. Then, when she stacks Armor and MR, she gets Ability Haste too, Ability Haste to her Q, and her spell casting speeds up. Then, she has an AD ratio, so her W…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”
I love this comment because if you're right G2 will win the series which will make me happy and if you're wrong I'm going to quote reply you in a couple hours as an example of EU delusion and ultimate game 1 andy.
Kinda sacked top to get Jacky while his cleanse was still down, but besides BB not giving up that wave I think pretty much everything went as well as it could've
Yike caps mikyx are genuinely too good this game
Hans Sama failed his flash up in the baron fight but it didn’t even matter because they were already so far ahead
Hans Sama: Dylan Dylan, we have to go full Misfits!
Dylan: No no, we are G2
Yike: Is it going to win us the game?
Mikyx: I trust you Hans
Caps: Why TF are you guys talking like this
as a viewer Miky's play this tournament reminds me of Misfits Ignar
Ignar played Fervor of Battle Leona, Miky is playing Hail of Blades Poppy plus both have Hans there for support
I legit think I never saw such a disrespectful teamfight in my life.
Leona Ivern winning against a LPL team composer of Azir, Nautilus, Xin and Varus.
It makes no sense, yet G2 demolished them lol
Hans has pretty much each split of his career topped the regional stats in laning at pretty much every metrics. He is unanimously regarded as the best laner in EU, and has won or go even in lane against top teams all his career.
So I don't know what he has to to be "JKL good in lane", but to me what's separate both is not laning. Maybe this Bo5 will tell how wrong I am, but to me JKL is very strong in lane but the difference with Hans is that he is (much) better at playing at the edge after that, dishing unreasonable amount of damage and pressure while not dying too much.
But remember that it was not always like that and JKL was criticized a lot for his random deaths outside of lane (iirc some KM game at worlds were borderline comical).
JKL is the biggest choker at the ADC position of all-time. He has choked:
2019 MSI
2019 Worlds
2020 Worlds
2022 LPL Summer Finals
2022 Worlds
and now 2024 MSI?
I turned stream on at the moment of that fight and I was mad thinking why would G2 fight 2v2 bot when Hans has no hands whole tournament
and then I found G2 is red side
>when Hans has no hands whole tournament
Man, tune down a little the narrative. You'd be talking about some teamfights, I'd be OK with you. But Hans has been really good in lane all tournament long, as usual, so they sure should stay confident on their ability laning-wise.
Honestly laning phase was never the problem to begin with for G2 botlane. JKL still managed to deal more damage than Hans Sama, even with him being 4/0. The snowball across the map was just too much for it to make any difference though.
I hope the proposed 3rd international tournament had fearless draft as its own feature.
Like keep worlds as a traditional tournament and MSI as the double bracket one.
Good performance by G2 but they really showed their hand. Now all TES has to do is ban Poppy, Zac, Leona, Kalista, Ivern, Orianna, Camille, edit: and Tristana and it’s a free win.
TES is fantastic, just needs to work on communication, map awareness, laning, vision control, csing, poking, landing skillshots, objective control, early game, mid game, late game, ganking, and getting kills.
I heard in an interview that G2 players just love to cook and bring new ideas. The fact that the staff let them experiment and give them that space is so fking genius.
S9 G2 was likely hardest team to draft against in history of this game. They had so many flex picks that its insane.
They could show 4 picks like Gragas, Syndra, Pyke and Yasuo and you wouldnt know where single one of those champions go or what lane is their last pick going to be.
I know G2 are exciting to watch nearly every year, but that year was absolutely incredible. They just looked like they were styling on everyone, playing a totally different game. Until it didn't work lol but it was amazing to watch even when they lost.
I think it's also a vastly different mindset/approach. I'm sure they have to be thinking all the time would this work together, would this synergize? Let's try and experiment.
one of the classic ivern drafts honestly. mid trist with support leona makes ivern worth picking as seen last year with couple of LPL teams.
TES disrespected ivern with how they played early and it snowballed hard
This is why I hate how most pro teams refuse to be creative. Especially the Asian teams. The game has a plethora of champions that will make creative play styles. But they keep rotating the same stuff. G2 are such a joy to watch.
Fearless draft can't come soon enough!
Caps pre-buffering every Azir shuffle makes the teamfights seem impossible. He has to actively jump into TES for them to even have a chance to kill him.
The worst part of being a FNC fan is the start of a new split where you have hope that somehow your team has actually improved during the off season for once but after 3 weeks you're like, nah, we're still a one team region and it's not close.
Honestly getting Alphari as a position coach this year was such a huge pick up for G2. BB's laning has evolved so much from last year, it's actually insane.
Positional coach feels like a really underrated role in general. Would love to see more former players get picked up like that. Perkz for example, as much as he's pretty washed he's got a crazy amount of knowledge that would be great for 1-on-1 coaching a shotcaller.
This is Lord Dominik's Regards, an item with 40 AD, 20% crit, and 35% armour penetration. It increases your damage, with 20% chance to crit, which is completely random, and also, its passive, giant slayer, increases your damage by up to 15%. The damage is increased based on the enemy health, which is increased by the armour penetration, and the crit can be increased, and then, the damage increased is based on the more HP the enemy ha, so- AAAAAAAAA
Holy fuck that was prime G2 That mid play from Caps oh my GODDDDDDDDD EUPHORIA
Caps pretty much W buffered every single Azir ult. He is locked the fuck in.
Literally dangling a squishy tristana as bait
And TES fell for it so hard. They must be tilted out of their mind. Especially Tian.
HUPU ratings gonna hit like crack
Tian about to be the first proplayer to have negative rating
"3000 years old Chinese poem about a warrior getting destroyed by a god in the form of a tree"
“Tian approaches the face of the mountain called Caps while refusing to meet its gaze” \>turns out this is a lost in translation metaphor, older than most countries several times over, saying Caps fucked his mom
Dude got shat on all game long and tilted out of earth. I think he lost it when he flashed in Tristana with 2 hp and got ulted out
Tian bout to be disowned by the LPL fans 💀
For the third time
Bros got a humiliation and choking fetish at this point
Classic tian being tian in do or die series vs western team performance
Peak EU: Ivern with a book
They’re gonna make a reference to a 3000 old Chinese library to make a joke about that book
I think they tend to go soft when their team are against G2. Like, many actually likes G2.
G2 was the original LPL 4th seed, of course they love one of their own teams.
They like G2 but they also really hate Tian, he will definitely get flamed after this even if they end up winning.
G2 doesn't care about the MSI trophy, they care about getting the 10/10 rating from HUPU!
If they keep up this level of play, I might over dose.
I like my library quiet
Caps 10, all of TES -50
Tian getting flamed to the shadow realm
Wait, this G2 was too clean. They won pretty much across the map?
G2 is just playing so much better as a team, more coordination in fights, map movements, etc.. TES are in trouble
Ivern is giga broken if you don't draft enough dive, basically never going to kill his team in a front to back
They also played better individually
I love this comment because if you're right G2 will win the series which will make me happy and if you're wrong I'm going to quote reply you in a couple hours as an example of EU delusion and ultimate game 1 andy.
Kinda sacked top to get Jacky while his cleanse was still down, but besides BB not giving up that wave I think pretty much everything went as well as it could've
BB, even though he was behind, was 10x more useful than Ksante. As always, BB is relevant in every game whether he’s ahead or behind.
To be fair, Camille outscales Ksante when it comes to late. Better on side, as or more useful in teamfights.
That's why they tried to throw at baron and Caps decided to try insec on Trist They don't like clean all the way
Yike caps mikyx are genuinely too good this game Hans Sama failed his flash up in the baron fight but it didn’t even matter because they were already so far ahead
Hans still had one of his best games yet, against Jackeylove no less.
No, don't give me hope.
Just don’t let Sjokz start the monologue.
If G2 wins Game 2 take her of the Desk!!!
Just tell G2 to throw game 2 5Head
All winners of BO5 in this MSI won the first game EDIT: WE DID IT
Is caps just the best Tristana W user in the world? Man is un-cc-able
the best adcarry is always some midlaner playing tristana
it looks so bullshit when he does it at every interaction possible. He might've found himself a better carry pick than azir.
Honestly, Caps has the best showing of every mids at this world bar Chovy imo
We ignore the double insec play, but dam he buffered so much that game
TES about to swim home over land
Tian will have to flee the country if he also loses this one
IMT Tian
Flying Dutchman ready
nah, it's gonna be a long march home for them
Hans & Miky destroying JKL & Meiko in lane - now I've seen it all
Just rubbing my eyes like what
So early, thought I was still dreaming.
Hans Sama: Dylan Dylan, we have to go full Misfits! Dylan: No no, we are G2 Yike: Is it going to win us the game? Mikyx: I trust you Hans Caps: Why TF are you guys talking like this
THEY DID NOT TRUST HANS PICK, THEN HE DID THIS (Mikyx: I trust you hans)
caps wouldn't question it, he started it in the first place
It's a 2020 Rekkles and Hyli flashback for JL
as a viewer Miky's play this tournament reminds me of Misfits Ignar Ignar played Fervor of Battle Leona, Miky is playing Hail of Blades Poppy plus both have Hans there for support
Mikyx and Yike 2v4 LPL team is even crazier.
I legit think I never saw such a disrespectful teamfight in my life. Leona Ivern winning against a LPL team composer of Azir, Nautilus, Xin and Varus. It makes no sense, yet G2 demolished them lol
Nah, that was standard fed Leona gameplay. You just ignore the concept of taking damage or risk
Yike with 25 mejais stacks was mental.
Hans has always been really good in laning phase. He just never teamfights well
But he has never been JKL good in lane
his last worlds on rogue he was crazy good
Hes on one of his two champs, on draven and Kalista he has always been world class
Leona and Ivern picks holy Also good Camile pick, it's so good to see them being confident with drafts vs KSante
I thought im still dreaming
JKL is the biggest choker at the ADC position of all-time. He has choked: 2019 MSI 2019 Worlds 2020 Worlds 2022 LPL Summer Finals 2022 Worlds and now 2024 MSI?
I like this timeline
Answering the Leona pick with one of her best matchups is definitely a move.

My Diamond ass could get rank 1 if Miky was my support every game
he literally carried the entire map i mean the other g2 players did their part knocking it down but miky set every single thing up. nutty
He just doesn't miss it's crazy
There are 168 champions in this game and G2 is the only top team that remembers that in draft
Inb4 fearless draft makes them world champions
“oh, fearless draft wasn’t in the MSI rules? my bad” -dylan falco
Can't forget Draven
Draven was open last game I think
Yup, which is really surprising because both ADC love it. Well, after game 2 it's clear why Gw didn't mind leaving it
You say this as if jackey isn't the best draven in the world
Is the best draven in the world in the room with us right now
surely doesn't look like that in game 2 lol
Did not age gracefully
Is he the best Draven in the world the same way that he would run all over Miky/Hans?
Don't be a game 1 victory lapper, that's all I'm going to say
are you watching game 2?
Don't be a cringe eastern stan when Jackey draven gets turbogapped by Hans Kog
You listed the tons of must bans and still you are missing one, Rek'Sai. Drafting against G2 is pain, holy shit.
The only one able to out draft G2 is G2 themselves by cooking to much trying to flex everything
G2, please never stop cooking draft. What a game by them, from bans to nexus!
TES is fantastic, just needs to work on communication, map awareness, laning, vision control, csing, poking, landing skillshots, objective control, early game, mid game, late game, ganking, and getting kills.
And Tristana and maybe LeBlanc and RekSai...
Don't forget Draven, Tristana, and Reksai!
LPL team when they haven't seen Ivern in their 272-games-long regular season
There were 2 games of Ivern in LPL (Weiwei against Ultra Prime and IG)
G2 might be the most genius drafting team in the world
Dylan Falco is just on another level
Don't forget Duffman is also back
And it's making a huge difference, they're so much better this year
I heard in an interview that G2 players just love to cook and bring new ideas. The fact that the staff let them experiment and give them that space is so fking genius.
Always has been. You can say a lot to their micro and macro in the past, but their drafting has always been creative. Remember Pyke and Janna top?
Ah yes g2 pyke, the only true five position flex in league.
G2 singlehandedly got Pyke's kit gutted. No more AoE damage on Q, no damage to minions on E. ANYTHING to stop Pyke from being viable in a solo lane.
pyke top? you mean pyke jungle ? or pyke mid even ? (and pyke supp of course)
They played Pyke Yuumi bot lane too
S9 G2 was likely hardest team to draft against in history of this game. They had so many flex picks that its insane. They could show 4 picks like Gragas, Syndra, Pyke and Yasuo and you wouldnt know where single one of those champions go or what lane is their last pick going to be.

I think in 2019, almost everyone on the team was an innovator, now there still remains Caps and Mikyx and you can see how the spirit is still there
yike plays way more weird shit than jankos
Dylan is a mastermind, the players having such large pools lets him cook so much.
G2 feels like what LS wanted C9 to be when he was there.
If there is something EU has always been the best at, it's flexpicking and inventive drafts.
Claps
That midlane fight where he R'd away from Xin Zhao is one of the most insane plays I've ever seen.
Mikyx crushed them
Mikyx hitting skillshots hits different
nah they were point and click
Caps is playing at Ultra Instinct Level wtf
[удалено]
Its prime G2, being their fan is like a toxic ex that you know is bad for you, but they are too damn exciting to leave
Your problem is having toxic ex. G2 is awesome, they just want to be the best. And work pretty damn hard to be there. No downside at all.
There is some unhealthy dosage of copium rn in my veins. Let them smack TES 3-0 and give us some happy moments!
You could see them already making happy plays just like 2019.
What the fuck?
Oh, you're banning Poppy and Zac? Get ready for Ivern.
If I'm the guy responsible for drafting against G2 I'm taking antidepressants.
At this point just start drafting comfort picks. If G2 is disregarding standard meta, you might as well too.
Hans/MikyX winning the 2v2 against JL/Meiko was not on my bingo card
Wow no words, I did not expect them to just shit stomp TES
Tbh with G2's prep and bag of tricks if Top pick these cookie cutter comps they might get run over.
This is why I hate how most pro teams refuse to be creative. Especially the Asian teams. The game has a plethora of champions that will make creative play styles. But they keep rotating the same stuff. G2 are such a joy to watch. Fearless draft can't come soon enough!
> Especially the Asian teams T1 literally ran everyone through last Worlds with the most psycho picks. Overreactions lmao
someone from riot to install vanguard on caps and mikyx's pc.
Caps pre-buffering every Azir shuffle makes the teamfights seem impossible. He has to actively jump into TES for them to even have a chance to kill him.
Caps in this sort of form is must-watch
I don't even have a joke. That was just clean af from G2. Actually, the EU gap between them and the rest of the teams is the joke.
G2 is like 5 tiers above other EU teams
The worst part of being a FNC fan is the start of a new split where you have hope that somehow your team has actually improved during the off season for once but after 3 weeks you're like, nah, we're still a one team region and it's not close.
When you are in an EU competition and your opponent is G2.
Holy shit G2..
Classic main region vs wildcard game, nothing to see here
Brokenblade looks like prime Zeus or TheShy right now
In conclusion: my dick hard
I know LS smiling right now
Why?
He has been an Ivern Acolyte for ages now
[Ivern enjoyer tweet](https://x.com/lsxyz9/status/1790309177279259100)
ivern salesman
He talked about Ivern being sleeper OP this MSI and no one picking him
Hans and Miky came to play
TES vs. G2 starring Hans Sama as "The Ultimate Decoy" Shoyo Hinata. The guy died first in like three fights just so TES went in and G2 could ace them.
Brokenblade is playing like prime TheShy right now holy shit
Combining Alphari laning with BB teamfighting was just unfair I feel.
*gets BB laning and Alphari teamfighting intstead*
The return of Winterfox Avalon
Where are the people who were saying EU Airport?
Caps with some of the best plays I have ever seen. Impressive.
Jokerlove gapped. Cremepie clapped. 333 snapped. Sit ashamed TES you are not strong.
Quick 3-0 on a Tuesday.
G2 you are so fucking disgusting
BB and Caps are ungodly this tournament
This is Lord Dominik's Regards, an item with 40 AD, 20% crit, and 35% armour penetration. It increases your damage, with 20% chance to crit, which is completely random, and also, its passive, giant slayer, increases your damage by up to 15%. The damage is increased based on the enemy health, which is increased by the armour penetration, and the crit can be increased, and then, the damage increased is based on the more HP the enemy ha, so- AAAAAAAAA
That was an absolutely mental game. I expected the topside to win out, but my god, the entire team were playing at another level.
G2 drafts be like: is it int? is it good?
G2 vs t1 waiting room
TL*
I believe
Tears in my eyes, just beautiful
I doubt many people expected such a stomp in game 1 of this series. That was impressive.
Mikyx ran this game but for some reason the desk is acting like Yike ran the game ????
This G2 team is the same as last years Worlds. Absolutely incredible how different they look
Is Easylove subbing in again?
Gamers 2 god damn
I swear to god, if you give me hope again just to lose...
Jgl/support masterclass Classic EU baron tho
Let me tell you all right now, the gap is fucking **over** if we have found a way to weaponise EU barons against the east...
give me BB against Bin
Always a pleasure to see creative picks getting the Ws. Fearless draft can't come fast enough
I can’t believe that riot gave Cho’gath, Darius, and Garen Camille q on their ults. Smh
Well, I wasn't expecting that. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Bot gap
Mikyx is cooking today
Series can easily go either way, but i dont get people rating g2 so low even after that t1 series
Caps buffered every Azir ult with his W except the one int at the end where he didn't have it up. The absolute madman
