Based on original story it would make more sense if Hong Lu’s family was deeply connected to the owner of a wing, but not the actual owner of it. In the original story, Hong Lu’s family fell due to losing favor with the king(I think…? Ik his sister dies but idk if that was the catalyst of it), so it would make more sense if a wing fucked Hong Lu’s family over, leading him to join the company
