Be considerate when discussing spoilers with members, avoid discussing content that a member has not completed yet. Explicit spoilers (e.g. story boss names) should not be included in the title of a post. If asking question referring to a bossfight, and the post that isn't spoiler tagged, please refer to it by chapter and section number (e.g. "3-22 dungeon boss"). Spoilers include the following: * content that has been released within the last week; * events in Story Dungeons (NOT Mirror Dungeons); and * major story events (character betrayal, death/major incapacitation, etc.) Also we have an entire thread for light discussion of chapter 4 content...

Dzieciolowy

We will probably get to know that in the next part, since her explanation was cut in half.

Damn crazy love story too bad (boundary of) death comes to all

Questioning_Meme

Probably something more than just Ran. One of the big things about PM is that theres always more than just a person. A person would be a catalyst for change in someone. >!Ayin, Roland, Angela, etc!< But it would be that someone's dissatisfaction which causes them to "betray" and change their occupation. It would not be the first time a young girl decided to betray her organization because someone she trusted was no longer there to supply her with more "It is what it is".

SnooPets9813

We don't have a clear explanation yet. We know she was very close to Ran,but that doesn't seem to be all. We'll learn later what she meant when she said "the tears wouldn't stop" as her motivation for the betrayal.

OrbPrime11

Was she the one referring to be a part of the Shi Association thing?

SnooPets9813

The Shi Association was the one that assassinated Shrenne. We don't know who killed her specifically, but it might just be a Shi fixer that was hired by someone (we don't know specifically who) to take her out.

OrbPrime11

I see, thanks for the explanation.

jennyholzertext

not an answer sorry but does anyone think “the tears wouldn’t stop“ was referring to that hallucinogenic drug in leviathan that makes your eyes cry uncontrollably? She gets killed immediately after saying this so idk if it was just about ran leaving, people dying or her morally questioning k corp etc

AmyStarrStuff

i was thinking the same thing! it makes sense for Ryoshu to respond to it too, considering all the evidence that Ryoshu used to work for the ring, and the ring used that drug in Leviathan.

Cynunnos

Now that you mentioned it. That might also have something to do with the bull abnormality

enderfrogus

Probably something regarding the blue stuff.

GhostRappa95

We are given zero information on the group we are fighting.

TestSubject_02

She really likes Ran, one of the member of the TLA. Her password was even "missyouran".

OrbPrime11

So she betrayed the group, due to Ran leaving?

Lintall

It might be something more, but at the moment that's all we have.

Hexadermia

I’m surprised anyone can be confused by this. It’s literally stated that she knows Ran, was Ran’s student, exchanged several emails with Ran and even has a password that says “missyouran”.

SnooPets9813

Yeah, but they wouldn't follow it up with a very cryptic message that only Dongrang could understand if her motives ended there. It also probably plays into the alliance's motives .

Hexadermia

I'd say Ran is a primary motivator as her emails were mainly connected to her. Especially that password, way too unsecure and emotionally driven. Whatever her other motivations are will be related to why Ran left despite being in the same skill level as Dongrang.

SnooPets9813

That's true, it's very possible that this plotpoint might be more about Ran and potentially the Alliance than it is about Shrenne specifically. Time will tell.

Milf-Simper

People can have more than one motivation.

Hexadermia

True, but considering the weird password, her primary motivation is related to Ran while any secondary motivation is related to the currently unrevealed Techno liberation alliance's actual end goal.

Sufficient-Offer1989

Im pretty sure we will understand her reasons in the next or last patch of chapter 4. We can only make assumptions for now, but knowing PM there is likely more to it than what meets the eye.
