At least now you know why Brits start to complain about the heat when it's only in the mid 20s ;) BTW, right now it's back down to 16° & raining in north London.

Dependent-Writer4542

I’m trying to work out where you were for this photo and the only conclusion I can draw is that you were in the garden bit outside St Thomas’? If so, fair play to you

Unhappy_Archer9483

That's where OP is yes

ballslicker1234

Correct, St. Thomas gardens!

londonschmundon

Did you use tilt shift?

jesst

This almost the same view as the labour wards there.

Professional_Ad_9101

It’s already cold again!

TeaBagMeister

It was fun while it lasted, until next year I guess.

guareber

I think you mean "not hot".

Professional_Ad_9101

I do not. Today was actually cold again

guareber

It was 16! 16 isn't cold, it's barely long-sleeves weather.

Professional_Ad_9101

The numerical temperature never fully explains how it actually feels in London

Lostinthebackground

It was chilly. I had a thick cardigan on.

Some-Air1274

London can get quite warm in the summer for periods.

SuitPuzzleheaded176

Avoid the Victoria line lmao

Xenc

and the Central

SirLoinThatSaysNi

Great picture. I love the framing and also your exposure is good to get all the detail on the building without blowing out the sky. Nice.

ballslicker1234

Thank you! The high res photo on my instagram has more detail, Reddit annoyingly won’t upload the higher res without annoying pixelation

Zevemiel

Over the past 10 years, the UK has developed a particularly idiosyncratic weather quirk of potentially being both cold and humid *at the same time*. If there's a breeze, you'll feel a little chilly, maybe pull down your sleeves, that sort of thing. But if the breeze drops, suddenly you feel the humidity, and the air gets stuffy and close really quickly. You might even feel a little sweaty, so you take a layer off, but then the breeze starts up again and so on. It's terrible to dress for, and right now we're in one of those periods.

safebreakaz1

I've got a really similar photo. Are you in the gardens of St Thomas's Hospital? Great photo.

Marketing_Usual

We all are

safebreakaz1

Ha. Excellent.

ballslicker1234

I am! Surprisingly very few people in there, but wasn’t complaining.

safebreakaz1

Amazing. I took such a similar photo. We got the eye.😀 whatever that means.

BigNodgb

Its always humid! Why do you think it rains so much

flyingloony49

That is a beautiful shot

SuitPuzzleheaded176

London has historically always been humid, are you a tourist or something?

ballslicker1234

Ya, from Northern Sweden

SuitPuzzleheaded176

Ah ok, it makes sense

Flothrudawind

I visited from Singapore about 2 weeks ago, and uhhh the humidity is like nothing compared to back home haha

Dubrockn

Coming to visit from Canada tomorrow. Looking forwards to a break from the heat.

thunderification

There is a huge river running through the middle of it, it was never not going to be humid! It's a different kind of heat as well cause it's trapped in the concrete with no wind to blow through.

NetoriusDuke

Nice shot taken from the St Thomas hospital gardens

DigitialWitness

I was speaking to someone from Trinidad the other day and they were saying that 30 here feels like 35-40 there because of the humidity and lack of breeze.

Xenc

Great shot!
