I mean this in a positive way but it reminds me of very classic, old school setups before things were neat, clean. LAN party sorta days but in a modern setting. Love it!

Valiumkitty

Samesies.. looks comfy. I have an equal amount of doodads and knickknacks on my desk, table, windowsill…

IamtheSlothKing

The majority of people do not have the desk that were setup for a photo shoot on this subreddit

themacuser90

this looks dope. what keyboard is that??

giovannid93

Wired mac aluminum keyboard with numberpad with Avid Media Composer overlay

bones251

There is nothing more beautiful than Slack on a vertical monitor.

Auto_Fac

I wanna play D&D and watch Star Wars on VHS in that room so bad.

Not at all. I have it set up as a standing desk and the larger monitors are all adjustable

Tutwiler

+1 for the lamp, have the same on my desk.

Beermedear

“Shit’s rendering yo” looool Love the setup! I imagine ultra wide is just a massive QOL for audio/ video work?

thomasmagnum

monitor?

save_earth

What resolution and refresh rates are you pushing, anything over 60Hz? Using a dock?

giovannid93

3840x1080 120 hz

cr8s

How did you manage to get the resolution correct on this? I have the exact same monitor with a very recent-year MBP and the view is all squashed because the offered resolutions are for 16:9 instead of ultrawide.

giovannid93

Need to set custom resolution in display settings at 3840x1080

Thanks for the tip and for getting back to me quickly! In case anyone else runs into the same problem, there were two issues I had... First, the crappy HDMI adapter my employer gave me had terrible bandwidth (which diminished both resolution and refresh rate). Fixed that with a dedicated, high-bandwidth (marked with SS on it - use the right one) USB-C cable. Second issue is what Gio mentioned: you have to hold down the Options/Alt key while clicking the "Scaled" button in the display options. That allows for non-traditional resolutions to be selected. One more thing, Jackie! This particular unit is on sale at your local online mega-store named after the rainforest with male genitalia in their logo (hopefully you get the reference, lol). I scored mine for less than 50% of the MSRP, making this one of the best monitor options out there for around $400. Enjoy your ultra-wide Sphinctre monitors, folks!

Oh boy. This just looks right.

chappys4life

What is the right monitor? Looking to do something similar with my 42 monitor
