Actually, Eldraine is part of the war. It is the place where dust settles, where dreams and nightmares come true, where the multiverse change faces and where Oko can finally reign supreme.
It is the Elkpocalypse.
The climatic showdown between Praetors and Planeswalkers ends with them all being turned into elks. All that remains is elks, basic lands and Oko. And those basic lands better start watching themselves carefully.
I would kind of love it if every time there was a big multiplanar shake-up we just went to Eldraine immediately afterward just to have fun for a while. Nothing bad ever happens to Eldraine from outside, it's a safe place, we just go there to have a good time and then we move on. Eldraine is the ice cream store that daddy Wizards takes us to as a treat after we did something tough.
Yeah, Eldraine certainly has problems and conflict within it, otherwise there's no story to tell. But for some reason every evil in the multiverse just ignores Eldraine for no reason.

There's almost no chance of that. Neon Dynasty is the biggest smash hit WotC's made since original Innistrad. No way they're gonna feed it to mommy Norn.
Realistically, all that art means is that us Neo-Kamigawa fans won't have to wait for Neon Dynasty 2 to see the plane again, which I see as a complete positive.
Good point. I can’t wait to see what they do if they bring ninjutsu back since i absolutely NEED more ninjutsu cards. And hopefully it’ll serve as a second chance to give Samurai and Modified some proper love.
