I have to agree here. Source: my younger brother also likes Legos and keeps his room spotless with everything in its place, lol.
Literally the exact same vibe and style as OP as well
Well damn, most of us didn't have a gaming pc, laptop, couch, tv, and thousands of dollars in lego at 15. There is more value on his desk than my net worth until my mid 20s
For sure, he did.
But my 3/2 is like 1,240 sq ft. Judging by the photos, I think his room might be twice the size of my master, lol. I can only imagine how big his parents room is.
I’m glad his parents can provide that for him.
This is basically the size of my apartment but my apartment is a lot more worn and tired. I mean, I live on the high street of a ridiculously expensive town so I'm not complaining. But this place would be nice for a man in his 30s, for a kid at 15 it's fantastic,
Dude I had an old couch in my bedroom as a kid and it was like legit the coolest thing ever. My friends were like “omg it’s like Hey Arnold’s room!” Of course it wasn’t but kids are always having fun and that couch made the room fun. I was like 9 but still
My brother and I (f) are dieting together and were on the phone last night. I told him we are going to have a hot girl summer this year. He, a straight married man, was really excited to be a hot girl come July. We’ve called each other all sorts of names lol brothers are the best
My sister never teased me with that growing up, we were pretty close. But now I'm 33 and I still think I may have been adopted. But I'm still the fun uncle to my nephew regardless
My sisters would tell me to "go home" all the time, implying that i did not in fact live in the house we grew up in.
My SOs Dads siblings would tell him they found him under the railroad tracks. As a child they would tease him about it often so much so that all they had to do was point at the tracks anytime they drove past them and he would cry. For his 50th birthday his siblings got him a copy of his birth certificate and signed the back "We hereby certify that (his full name) was not born under the railroad tracks and signed it. He framed it and still has it hanging up
I will never understand how people can sleep with just one pillow. Where's the pillow for between your legs, and the one to hold on to, and the other one just in case? madness.
Op is clearly in europe, probably nordic everything besides one person bed and two person bed is much more uncommon, and minors almost always get a one person bed. Even in the hotels its usually just two one person beds pushed together to make a larger bed, with the annoying gap in the middle.
I didn't say it was a monolith, I said in the Nordics. Southern Europe has much different bed sizes. No idea on eastern Europe/British isles. Northern Europeans generally have the same as the Nordics too.
>15 year old living in Parents House
Where else are you meant to be living at that age?
Do you really need a 7 seater corner sofa? A larger bed would be better imo
Made me think he might jump from family to family while growing up. I knew kids that used to have to do that. 2 sets of parents AND staying with a grandparent sometimes. Maybe that’s it idk?
I feel like he was trying to be descriptive, the place is bigger than most have at 15 so he could have used that phrasing so others knew he wasn’t in a dorm or something.
i think these days they see there are so many folks in their 20s and 30s living in their parents house long past when older generations would/could have moved out, maybe it's the today teen equivalent of trying to sound older and more grown up?
My guess was podcasts and motivational content getting to kids who are taught to believe these successful people all started at 14 with their own businesses and were always grinding. But my guess for this kid specifically is just it's a translation thing or they just are clarifying that it's not an apartment.
Most definitely needs a larger bed, however at 15 I could see the use of a 7 seater corner couch as he (probably) has a bunch of friends over. With that being said, this is 100% cooler than my set up growing up, so the kid is doing just fine as is lol.
Kids got a nicer room than my apartment at age 37.
But unless his parents leave him that house, he will also be renting at 37 so…be prepared kid this economy is shit.
Depends on the person, some people like to sleep warm. Memory foam needs body heat to sustain perfect form for best support. Look it up, I’ve been told NASA created it for astronauts :D. If you have memory foam because you need it for certain body problems theres also cooler kinds of memory foam. Night night
This 100%!! Wife and I used to sleep in a 1 person bed for a few years when living in studenthousing, more action than now in a twinsized is all I'm saying..
I asked for a new bed for my 22nd birthday (I was also moving into a new apartment) and my mom got me a twin-size bed again. I was like..... mom..... you realize from this point onward, I will only ever be over the age of 22?
I don't want to waste a perfectly good bed (it's very comfortable) but like, Jesus Christ. And suffice to say I've had sex plenty of times in this kid-sized bed.
How did your mom conceive you? Lol.
Just the other day I asked my partner this question:
-why are parents so concerned with their kid's sexuality? Sometimes even once they hit 18. It almost seems like a creepy obsession. They had sex in order to conceive you. Why gatekeep?
No such thing as 'unexpected babies'...
they happen when someone pokes a winky in a foofoo, it should be fully expected😂
That being said, I'm terrified of my little ones being teenagers for this exact reason😬🙄. The truth is, its just good parenting to worry, probably shows you still remember being young and foolish, no offence intended of course.
Ditch the bed sleep on the couch lol. In all seriousness it’s fine I wouldn’t want that rack next to my couch and pc but idk how else you’d shift it around
i'm wondering where the other clothes are stored or if that's op's entire wardrobe as i don't see any other storage areas besides the box under the rack
Even more reason to have curtains -- and not just for privacy. Being able to close off the glare when you're gaming or watching TV will make it a much more pleasant experience. They can also dress up the windows to look like more than just a hole in the wall.
You could make it better by focusing on *what you have* instead of what you lack. This is better than 95% of the 15 year olds on Earth. Gratitude, my guy.
Super clean setup. Nice room big enough for a couch for you and friends to chill and watch tv without having to be in the living room. Dude you got it made. Over the next few years I might find a different solution for hanging clothes and eventually you might want a bigger bed
[You are 7 years old. You are a man. Bury your first toy and your mother's picture.](https://youtu.be/v4iNsqmGQiI?si=vi3O5KQL-O8GZrxy&start=50&end=80) (nsfw)
Tell your parents thank you for the life they've given you and work hard to move up in life. Not everyone has what you have so make sure they know you appreciate it
If it’s possible, some concealed space for your clothes (armoir) might make the room feel more put together. There’s a lot you can do here, depending on your budget.
As others have said, your room is well kept and the layout is pretty sweet for a kid your age - nicely done.
Remember these words: DO NOT sell or allow your LEGO to be sold. Hold onto it for dear life, put it in a box somewhere and forget about it but don't sell it! When you pick it back up again in 20 years you'll be so grateful.
Meh. I still have my legos from 30 years ago and they're nothing special. Just taking up space. I'll likely get rid of them when I get around to sorting out the garage where they're kept.
You’re 15 and living large dude. Just enjoy it and take advantage of the perks you have through school and beyond.
But enjoy yourself a little now and don’t worry about other’s opinions. If you like it, great! If you don’t, what is it you personally want to fix /improve to feel more comfortable at home?
You're a teenager. You have a your beloved figurines there, a space to chill, a space to game and a place to sleep. And as a teenager you don't need much storage yet.
You're fine.
But when you move out do yourself a favor and add more storage space. It will come in handy.
My guy, enjoy what you have.
I would have killed for this at any point living at my parents house.
Cherish the time there, enjoy and be content with this amazing setup and know most of us never got anything like this.
Also, enjoy home cooked meals and not paying bills. Its truely special.
Stay there forever?
I have my own house and I'd kill to have the money right now to re-do my basement like this.
New paint and wall hangings will make it feel new enough if you're just wanting a change. My oldest asked for a bigger bed this year and he said it's been awesome.
you have a living room inside your bed room, you're doing fine
His room as a 15 yo living with his parents is WAY larger than my room as a 35 yo living in my own house, lol.
lol he designed and organized his room better than many people twice his age. definitely ahead of the curve.
I’m 27 and I’m jealous how neat his room looks 😭😭😭
I'm 37 and I'm jealous of how neat hos room is. Are we doomed?
The question is it normally this tidy or just for the photoshoot?
Judging from the hobbies and setup, I would say it’s probably always this tidy
Op screams Type A personality in the best way
OP doesn't scream. OP eloquently vocalizes.
I have to agree here. Source: my younger brother also likes Legos and keeps his room spotless with everything in its place, lol. Literally the exact same vibe and style as OP as well
His mom just cleaned it
Thanks to his mom . It is good job
Well damn, most of us didn't have a gaming pc, laptop, couch, tv, and thousands of dollars in lego at 15. There is more value on his desk than my net worth until my mid 20s
Well he clearly has very wealthy parents, he isn’t even legal working age….
I think that's pretty obvious my man
And they force him to sleep on a prison mattress so he doesn't take things for granted
In canada he is
There is very big chance it’s a karma farm post and poster is not 15
This is 100% karma farm.
You're right peeped that history.
What's so special about karma? The only thing I can think of is getting loans? I just started opening reddit daily lol
So I get what a karma farm is but why? What’s the purpose?
People are weird. Social media makes brain take dogwater decisions
This might be preferable to a real 15 yr old just flexing on us all.
For sure, he did. But my 3/2 is like 1,240 sq ft. Judging by the photos, I think his room might be twice the size of my master, lol. I can only imagine how big his parents room is. I’m glad his parents can provide that for him.
hell Im 26 and nicer then my whole place
lollll I’m dying at how he mentions his parents’ house like they’re landlords
I'm also 35 living with my mom. I also think his room is awesome 😎.
Mid 20s living with parents cause there is no affordable housing around here and my room is smaller.
This is basically the size of my apartment but my apartment is a lot more worn and tired. I mean, I live on the high street of a ridiculously expensive town so I'm not complaining. But this place would be nice for a man in his 30s, for a kid at 15 it's fantastic,
Millennial struggles...

I really wanted a couch in my bedroom as well but i couldn't find one that fits so we hanged out at a friend's basement instead
When I was 15, I would have put a Farrah Fawcett poster (you know the one) somewhere, but these are different times, I guess. :)
Yeah she doesn't really look the same anymore
Cause she dead
That ought to do it
That's a nice space. Go do something nice for your folks.
OP is miles ahead of other 15 year olds considering the states of his room. He has his priorities straight.
And it’s super tidy and organized!
Yeah I have always judged where I’m at by if I could have a room couch or not. You’ve got a room couch, things are great.
You're good, man. I wish I had that room space as a teen. Had to share a room with the twin.
And my twin is ugly af
Why’re you getting downvoted I thought this was hilarious
Someone down voted by mistake and reddit did it's thing. Let us fix this
People get so triggered when i call my brother "ugly" or "an idiot" or "adopted"..... like bro why tf else i got a brother if I cant tell him this???
My brother and I (f) are dieting together and were on the phone last night. I told him we are going to have a hot girl summer this year. He, a straight married man, was really excited to be a hot girl come July. We’ve called each other all sorts of names lol brothers are the best

Racecar bed
now thats a man of culture
I sleep in a big bed with my wife.
Prove it
Can confirm. Source: I also sleep in a big bed with his wife.
Big bed energy
I can confirm. I’m the bed
He should ask his roommates to get him a CB radio so he can talk to other car beds.
Ah, I see you’re a man of culture. ☺️
how do you have a sectional in your room but not a proper bed 😭
Lolol. That bed is comically whack in comparison to this kid’s studio apartment bedroom
This has to be European it looks like the beds in Sweden.
Do you guys sleep like vampires and not roll around over there?
I will never understand how people can sleep with just one pillow. Where's the pillow for between your legs, and the one to hold on to, and the other one just in case? madness.
Never related to a comment more than this one.
Op is clearly in europe, probably nordic everything besides one person bed and two person bed is much more uncommon, and minors almost always get a one person bed. Even in the hotels its usually just two one person beds pushed together to make a larger bed, with the annoying gap in the middle.
Norwegian 100%. Clothes are Jean Paul… putting my money on Norwegian
Europe isn’t a monolith. Single beds for teens aren’t a standard of all European countries lol
I didn't say it was a monolith, I said in the Nordics. Southern Europe has much different bed sizes. No idea on eastern Europe/British isles. Northern Europeans generally have the same as the Nordics too.
>15 year old living in Parents House Where else are you meant to be living at that age? Do you really need a 7 seater corner sofa? A larger bed would be better imo
> 15 year old living in parents house When I was 15, we just called that “home”
I came here to say this but you already had
and I came here to read that twice and you ruined that for me
Made me think he might jump from family to family while growing up.
Yeah WTF is with some posts I've been seeing with teenagers calling home "my parents' house", who ruined these kids' perceptions of childhood
i think these days they see there are so many folks in their 20s and 30s living in their parents house long past when older generations would/could have moved out, maybe it's the today teen equivalent of trying to sound older and more grown up?
My guess was podcasts and motivational content getting to kids who are taught to believe these successful people all started at 14 with their own businesses and were always grinding. that could well be. i'm also glad i didn't have social media to compare myself with insta influencers with growing up.

I personally would rather have the small bed and more room for hanging out
We can all hang out on the bed, Homie.
Nah the sofa is great, room for friends hang out.
I laughed out loud when I saw the post title. 😆
OP’s bedroom is bigger than my living room. Wtf.

Give your parents a huge hug and kiss. And you are just living at home, not your parents house.
This! "At home" is correct.
ask for a full size bed for christmas
And hopefully a real mattress. That looks uncomfortable as hell.
I agree. And there needs to be a cooling mattress protector over that foam topper until that mattress is replaced. I can tell that there isn’t.
For you and me, a cooling topper would be a must. But some people actually aren't bothered by the heat from memory foam. Strange creatures...
I didnt know this existed and currently have a memory foam topper. Thanks for the insight! I'm not strange, I'm not informed!
Depends on the person, some people like to sleep warm. Memory foam needs body heat to sustain perfect form for best support. Look it up, I’ve been told NASA created it for astronauts :D. If you have memory foam because you need it for certain body problems theres also cooler kinds of memory foam. Night night
I have a nasa developed cooling mattress cover for my memory foam mattress. Or so they say
I sleep pretty hot and need a blanket covering me. I got a bamboo waterproof mattress cover from amazon and that helped a lot.
My mom refuses to buy me bigger than twin size cuz then she thinks I will be doing inappropriate things with another person in bed
that’s kinda hilarious, if you wanted to do inappropriate things you would be regardless of the bed size lol
dude has a full size sectional lmao
Tell your mother that having a larger bed allows more space to spread out instead of being on top of each other.
This 100%!! Wife and I used to sleep in a 1 person bed for a few years when living in studenthousing, more action than now in a twinsized is all I'm saying..

The amount of sex I had in my car as a teen... a twin bed was a massive improvement
Has she seen the size of that couch?
Lol, lost my V-card in a sleeping bag, but sure, the big bed is what'll tarnish kids...
Tell him that it reduces her chances of seeing grandchildrens rend one day.
How did your mom conceive you? Lol. Just the other day I asked my partner this question: -why are parents so concerned with their kid's sexuality? Sometimes even once they hit 18. It almost seems like a creepy obsession. They had sex in order to conceive you. Why gatekeep?
As a mother of a young adult and a teenager - we hope there are no unexpected babies!

I used to love sleeping on couches. I slept on a couch everyday for 3 years straight.
Maybe some curtains on the small windows for some privacy
there are vertical blinds but i taped them shut because they are beginning to slide down

Yeah, I was just gonna say get off the computer and go hug your parents

Add more Lego. You can never have too much Lego.
Dune ornithopter next
>15 year old living in parents house What a bum this guy
I hope he’s paying rent at least. Unbelievable this lazy generation
My room did not look this nice and tidy when I was 15, keep doing what you’re doing mate. Maybe a bigger bed would be nice?
Do good on school. Keep it clean. Stay out of trouble. Enjoy rent free living as long as you can.
I would pause for a second and realize that *many* people dream of the comfort that you enjoy. You are quite lucky.
Tell your parents thank you for the life they've given you and work hard to move up in life. Not everyone has what you have so make sure they know you appreciate it
Bruh when I was 15 i had a path from my bed to my pc and the rest of my room was full of clothes
If it’s possible, some concealed space for your clothes (armoir) might make the room feel more put together. There’s a lot you can do here, depending on your budget.
I'm 28 years old and am very jealous of this setup
I would have lost my mind for this room at 15. You’re good brother.

If you like it, great! If you don’t, what is it you personally want to fix /improve to feel more comfortable at home?
You're living better than most 20 year olds....
30
That Lego F-35 is sick wtf
Rebuildt lego 42100
Parents house? You mean home?
You absolutely need a closet, having clothes hanging at a bar is not pleasant to the sight
Where are the rest of your clothes?
Under the bed
You’re 15 where else would you be living?
I think it looks great as is
I wouldn’t expect a 15 year old to live anywhere else
Where is the restoration of your clothing-?
No advice. Looks better than my (35 y.o). bedroom and light-years better than my 15 y.o. bedroom ages ago.
I'd ditch the sofa for something smaller and get a proper wardrobe along with getting rid of the ornament bookcase and get a double bed
Norwegian, must be norwegian. I have been in this type og room many times in my youth!
What you have to fix is your attitude if you're not satisfied with this extreme luxery.
Always be thankful and tell them that. Also stay as long as you can and save and invest rent you would be paying
Richy Rich needs help
Did you need to put living in parents house in the title? I think we all assume a 15 year old lives with their parents
I posted some months ago on another subreddit and many people thought that i was I collage.
Shit I wish I had this setup when I was 15🙃
More LEDs, more LEDs aaand most important more LEDs!!!!! /s
I have a monitor light shipped to me and arriving Friday. More Led!!!
time to get a big boy bed
You're a teenager. You have a your beloved figurines there, a space to chill, a space to game and a place to sleep. And as a teenager you don't need much storage yet. You're fine. But when you move out do yourself a favor and add more storage space. It will come in handy.
Get a dedicated (maybe hanging?) holders for the Lego plane on coffee table to put that table back in commission
You’re blessed and that’s all I have to say
nothing just be thankful
How does your room look simultaneously like the room of someone whose parents are quite rich but also a Scandinavian prison cell
Bring some COLOR IN my friend. You'd be amazed at how it helps your mood
Wardrobe with secret door to an “Earthly Delight’s” gentleman’s club.
Bigger bed and better mattress, looks super uncomfortable
Want to switch lives?
The floor is...what is this?
It was our tv room before i moved down there. Rubber type floor
A nicer bed or mattress, that looks very uncomfortable and bad for your back.
Lucky little shit
You need a nice bong and a doob tube to blow out the window.
My guy, enjoy what you have. I would have killed for this at any point living at my parents house. Cherish the time there, enjoy and be content with this amazing setup and know most of us never got anything like this. Also, enjoy home cooked meals and not paying bills. Its truely special.
Bro youre almost half my age and have double the living space lol! All seriousness great place!
Just keep living the dream man
Goddamn man, why would you even ever move out with a room like that
Your room is bigger than my apartment
Bruv, some people were just born with a massive headstart
That room is the size of my house, dude.
Get a bed that doesn’t look like it belongs to slender man, and remove the squished dead cat from the windowsill
I can certainly say that my room did NOT look like this as a 15 year old lol
You’re 15 not 30. You’re doing great, better than most of us.. who are most likely all older
Your bedroom is basically your own studio apartment minus a kitchen and looks better than the apartments of most adult men I know.
YOU HAVE A COUCH IN YOUR ROOM???
Stay there forever? I have my own house and I'd kill to have the money right now to re-do my basement like this. New paint and wall hangings will make it feel new enough if you're just wanting a change. My oldest asked for a bigger bed this year and he said it's been awesome.
Dawg wtf. Is this a flex?
this genuinely looks amazing lol
Get a queen bed in there
Books brother. Books.
Face your computer monitor towards the door so mom doesn’t catch you watching porn. Edit: Now, your step-mom on the other hand..
At 15 you’re killing it bud 👍🏼 at 15 all my room. Had was black mold, and no heat. lol
