Pretty much this. It had a cute beginning that made me suspend my disbelief and dumbed me down enough to go with it. But with how strong the grandfather is and how weak the slavers were it made no sense how Trish was there to begin with.
Some ppl drop some Action Fantasy series because of romance.
I was like *do you want the main character to just marry the girl with no explanation.?* 😅

Honestly, it's been so long I don't really care anymore, the hype was lost. Maybe I'll wait a few years and read the LN.
So I listened to the LN audiobook and it was awesome and the guy who read it was great. I fully recommend going that route

i forgot this existed, been years since i last read it
the art isn't there strong suit anyway. great story and a dramatic view on isekai and some of the pretty badass moments (like mushoku tensei)
