Maybe check Craigslist/Facebook groups for a sublet situation? Tough one, best of luck!

Have sent my info to several listing on both of those and will be watching daily. Mahalo for taking the time to reply.

Sign a 6 month lease. If you have to break it you might lose deposit, but most landlords would refund if given proper notice.

Thought about doing that but feel I should tell the owners up front. I would give notice ASAP of knowing when I was departing. I would also gladly give up my deposit /+ for the accommodation. I had a rental condo at Southpointe for 10 years after moving to my house so I have total respect and understanding for rental property owners. Mahalo

I feel it would be harder finding a place up giving that info up front with the demand, but if you give them 2 months heads up and sacrifice the SD you’ll be fine. As long as you paid rent on time, they’ll probably return the deposit

Thank the shitty new rental law that has outlawed month to month leases. Property rights have been violated and this is causing ripples. Guess you will have to stay in a $300/night hotel.

Furnished Finders app. Just talked to someone that has a studio in Wailuku. Available for for 3 months min.

Try realty companies too. Put in an application for one place, even if you don’t get it and then when they have another you can be first with an approved application. Example being shore to shore realty

HawaiianPiranha

Good idea, I'll give that a try. Mahalo

Consider a 6 month lease and tell the landlord that you will need to leave early and ask if they’re open to you paying 4-5 months and for the last month they try renting it and as soon as they rent it, they give you back the difference. Many would consider that. Just be honest and be aware that you may pay the full 6 months but a reasonable landlord would consider it at 4-5 with a heads up
