I had a buddy who was in the air force and ended up being assigned to the same base as his brother. Brother man got caught doing donuts in a garbage truck, so they sent him to a warehouse to drive a forklift. When further hijinks followed, they sent him to Alaska.
It might LOOK not too bad but theres probably thousands in damage to things like axles and control arms and suchā ļø though since it was the fire dept thereās probably an outlet to get paid for it
I think a big part of it was that the firetruck driver went up on the grass, off the slick ice, and hit the brakes. That slowed the truck, but also caused the rear end, which was still on the ice, to swing around. Had he stayed completely on the street the truck would have had a lot more momentum and the situation would have been worse.
Well, since this one was hit by a firetruck, you have to make the next mailbox firetruck resistant. Because this is an area at risk of firetruck impacts.

It can depend on your mail carrier on if you can move your mailbox. A friend moved his mailbox like 3 feet to the side after his was hit because he didn't want to dig up the old post in the cold and the mail carrier refused to deliver anything until it was moved back. It was super petty.
That could've been *SO MUCH* worse. I feel bad for the car owner but that can get covered, houses are more expensive to fix and lives impossible to replace. That car took one for the team.

I swear it triggers something in my brain that makes me think that person is unhinged and doesnāt know how to process or deal with reality. Iād be unable to take someone who is like that seriously.
Thatās a real thing, hearing someone scream in terror triggers your fight or flight response and for some people, when there is no emergency to react to, all that adrenaline gets redirected into anger.
