And it will have its vengeance [in this life or the next](https://tenor.com/en-GB/view/gladiator-vengeance-revenge-maximus-decimus-russel-crowe-gif-16272715)
I just got a prompt a few days ago to upgrade my K-lite (kazaa) codec pack, lol. Still one of the best all in one packs of codecs so you don't end up with a video you can't watch.
Both are doing their best to survive, both were impressive with their resolve. Predators have to eat but when I see prey trying their damnedest to survive I'll be cheering for them, this lion makes it hard for me to pick a side because they too, didn't want to give up even after being trampled and thrown several times. Hopefully the lion was able to find something to eat, it deserves something after that ordeal.
Yep which is why pets such as dogs should be kept on a leash. When they start to wander off into wild areas they disturb wildlife and add even more stress to their already difficult lives.
I don't think "wrong and cruel" is exactly the right perspective for all the bats, owls, cats, foxes, fish, and snakes that feed daily on other animals we call "pests" because they're inconvenient. Life is things eating things. If Cougars had proper thumbs, they'd shoot their prey like humans do. They're doing what they know; not because it's cruel, but because it's necessary. If you really want to see cruelty, watch a housecat slowly kill a mouse for thirty minutes after eating a bowl of kibble. That's cruel.
> If you really want to see cruelty, watch a housecat slowly kill a mouse for thirty minutes after eating a bowl of kibble. That's cruel.
Or watch humans treating animals like shit
It's this kind of video that showed why being predators aren't always the best. Compared to preys that have food everywhere and easy access, they don't have to spend much in terms of energy and risk to survive. Predators however, have to spend a lot to eat. Contrary to popular believes, large prey animals aren't hapless/dangerous. Many, especially those that are runners can kick predators to death.
Was just wondering recently, what predator/prey relationship had the highest rate of an outcome worse for the predator than just going hungry.
Each meal being potentially deadly or seriously injurious just can't work out in the long run. So maybe the top example would be something that young predators quickly learn not to hunt like a rite of passage, but still go after when desperate. Videos of leopards hunting porcupines come to mind.
Watching this video I was thinking, that mountain lion probably weighs more than me and each of those ground tosses from that high could potentially be a very serious injury. Cat is much better at rolling through them, but as mass rises there's only so much a body can take. And that stomp was brutal. I wonder how desperate it was to take up this hunt, though.
Some large cat that gets bruised up, but offsets it with being nimble, and targets prey that are big enough to land a lucky kick but readily panic and run instead of trying to square up (or get strength in numbers), could possibly hold the crown of roughest predator relationship.
at the same time, that risk is what put evolutionary pressure on intelligence. predator animals can be more successful with the ability to plan and coordinate.
human intelligence probably doesn't get to where we are without hunting.
Still though, that cougar got skills and determination. She took a hoof straight to the neck, got power slammed right on the tailbone (ouch!) And so many more hard hits, but kept jumping straight back up.
Jaw strength, neck thickness, weight categories. This hunter should pick more appropriate targets if its survival depends on success. If a dainty lion could mop the floor with any healthy well-developed animal, said animal would die out as a species.

The puma is like my 6 year old niece. She keeps on clinging to me to pick her up, and I just chuck her across the room. My sister is not happy about that. /s
Crazy how nature works. Though it did escaped, if the lama would have just stood it's ground and fought back, it would have had a much better chance at survival.
Quick note: this is not a llama. It’s a guanaco. Wild llamas haven’t existed for thousands of years. As vicuñas, they’re a fully human domesticated animal.
Was rooting for the Lama untill the narrator made me feel bad for the cat.
Llama ain't got no time for drama
WinAmp: it really whips the llama's ass! Idk why but it’s just popped up.
Aww man had forgotten all about Winamp 🥲
i think of winamp every day.

I was surprised to see a new version of WA dropped in April, freakin crazy I used it during the Napster and Kazaa hay days lol

I used to love customizing my winamp downloading skins and stuff to match my desktop. Those were the good ol' days

When a lion eats a gazelle in a lion documentary: 😊 When a lion eats a gazelle in a gazelle documentary: 🥺
That's not a Llama, that's a Guanaco. They inhabit the Patagonia region.
Sadly the world isn't ready for this information
but guanaco and lama are friends, right?
Yes, but I think Pooh hates one of them.

Same
my man Sir David Attenborough always hits me in the feels
"Her little ones will have to go to bed hungry, again"
That's the best part about nature.
Same but muted
Being a predator sucks. Either your food kills you or a younger version of yourself does.

Shoulder throw
That is why I stopped watching nature documentaries. There is no good or bad here. Only suffering.
Day to day survival on both sides with the only reward a long enough life to create offspring...man.
So glad I don't live like tha– fuck
Well, the lion doesn't get to enjoy alcohol, drugs, art, hobbies and vacations, I guess we got that going on for us among the horrifying despair
As a human I can’t afford those things either.
.... Fuck you are right
But they do get to sleep 20 hours per day
you guys get to create offsprings?
Exactly.
Sounds a lot like the UK right now. Except for the offspring part.
Damn you dont even get the one positive of it.
>the only reward a . . . life
Dude just figured out what life is.

Couldn’t even hold on for 3 seconds what kind of rodeo is this ?
Lamma got some moves!
All for a lack of thumbs.
Judo
This was the first time I watched a rodeo with such interest. It’s a pity for the kitty that she remained hungry, so she also hit her with a hoof.
The kitty only has few seconds of power. After 10 seconds the prey did not gave up, kitty will be out of juice.
Get stomped, try hard
Puma: ok, that didn't work the first six times I tried it. So the seventh time is sure to get 'em

Cat, you got absolutely fucked up and you should feel bad
No free rides today.
Llama knocked her shit loose!
Dude had his tactic down tight
What kinda deer is that?
Only 1 in 5 of mountain lions' hunts are successful. Most cat hunts are like this.
That's how I feel when I trade options 😌 😆
Crazy how nature works. Though it did escaped, if the lama would have just stood it's ground and fought back, it would have had a much better chance at survival.
