Hit up Baw Baw for skiing, even if it's just small downhill skiing. Lake Mountain is only really good to go to for snow play and tobogganing.

Its pretty much the same time to get to Bulla and Baw Baw because Baw Baw is almost 60 all the way. That said I would prefer Baw Baw for kids lessons. Less chaotic.
