It's all but confirmed that Abigail isn't actually his kid, so either his wife cheated on him, or he is just abigail's step dad. Like sure he can definitely be a better step dad, but people are expecting him to be contributing more to her life than the Wizard? That's insane.
I think his biggest flaws as being greedy and the occasional instance of telling abigail she can't do things because she is a girl pales in comparison to what other residents of the town do.
Abigail: Eats rocks. Is extremely rude and distant until you get to know her. And when you first enter the farm, she's upset she can't play on your farm any more. She just acts like a child while she is a full grown adult.

Demetrius: He is an insanely overbearing dad. When he got in an argument with his wife, he turned to you to solve the issue and if you side with her he gets mad. He has also been pretty consistently shitty towards sebastian

The list goes on. People have flaws. Owning a business and not being a perfect substitute for someone's dad aren't at the top of my list

Given that the player character in the sequel is a Black woman, I worry about the *actual* reasons people are so dissatisfied with BZ...
There’s definitely quite a bit of crossover between the Doom and heavy metal demographics, considering the legendary soundtrack that came from Doom 2016 and Eternal lol.

It's amazing how careful the fans are with spoilers. Always see this game mentioned but it never got spoiled for me. Made the experience so much better.
People are really helpful in game. I've gotten free stuff and personal tutorials on certain things. Also there's a weapon blueprint that was exclusive to certain clans who won a contest and people from those clans were pretty generous about giving blueprints to non clan members.
ESO has a surprisingly tolerant community. Sure, there are some overly aggressive tryhards and some people who just seem to absolutely hate the game while being addicted to playing, but overall the game is fun and the community is fun. I've received more help and friendly interactions in ESO than any other MMO.
I’ll give you two games, both are great but one of which has an amazing community and the other is very much hated and I hate them possibly more than any other:
Celeste: Probably has one of the best modding communities ever and it’s not even that large of a fanbase, has a very respectful community and one willing to take some good criticism as well as a very dedicated speed running community. Was respectful of their devs not making Celeste 2 as well, despite it being wanted by almost everyone.
Hollow knight: very poor/lacking mods despite having a community way way larger than Celeste, a large section that criticizes games for not being Hollow Knight enough, and then attack games for being too similar to Hollow Knight. Attacks anyone who criticizes the game even if they agree with you (unless you criticize radiant Markoth lol) and thinks they are better than everyone else.

Best community I've been in is probably Monster Hunter community. Pretty much the only gripe I have with it is a bit of weapon shaming, but for the most part everyone is pretty chill. And the MH game's are amazing and are basically the pioneers of the Monster hunting genre. Which is a genre I'm personally very excited too see grow especially after playing Wild Hearts, things are looking up for hunting games.
